WE ARE PAYING OUT BTC AND SYS BOUNTIES. PLEASE CONTACT sebastien1234 if you have not yet been paid a SYS bounty you are owed. Please contact me for BTC bounties. Thanks for everyone who has helped us out and been patient with bounties!

Can we remove inactive pools from the list?  IPOminer has not been active since the first few hours, never updated, still has the port disabled and is not even releasing sys mined during those times.

removing Wink

Just a quick update (and sorry this is still in this thread again attention has been poured into core-coin-work today). After talking with some pools we are going to delay the merged-mine release a bit in favor of getting the "Service Fee Regenerated Rewards" out in the next release which will increase mining rewards substantially.

This will most likely happen within 48hrs. We are testing on the testnet again just to be sure, and will make a formal announcement later tonight if all is well.
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 24, 2014, 08:53:12 PM
It's amazing to me that this long after the launch the wallet is still so bad. I still get stuck on blocks. I follow every update to a 'T'... Coin is a joke. These devs are like a dog trying to drive a car. Glad I got my initial investment out early...

I am sorry to say i have the same Problems..  On two separate Servers...
No issues here. Closed wallet around block 5000 before the release of 0.1.3 and left it closed for a few days. When I updated, it was stuck on that block, deleted block index and it synced back up to the current block in a matter of 5 minutes... Don't see this as an issue..

Try to run a pool on the wallet and you'll see the trouble...

We have pools running w/o issue, PM'd you to try to get more information and help ya out.

Oh and i can't help but mention there are devs like JohnDorien here on BCT actively working with us and asking question to leverage Syscoin to its full potential. I just spoke with him for about 50min to help him through some SysMarket setup (open source, on our github). He is making good progress:

We're here to help ALL DEVS with questions like this, come talk to us!

Can you please contact us in #syscoin? We're there to help in realtime. All wallet issues have been resolved, if you're still having issues come talk to us and we will help. So far we have not had a single person who started with "Wallet issues" end the conversation with us still having "wallet issues". So please, come chat with us we are there to help. Posting that it still doesn't work with very little context doesn't give us much to work with in terms of helping you out, and we want to help.

Why was moolah allowed to circumvent the ipo rules and invest 180 btc. That is bullshit as we were limited to 25 btc. What else backdoor deals did you do?

They did not circumvent any rules. I am not aware of how much (if any) they bought during presale. I think they bought a significant number of coins on the open market on dips, and there is absolutely nothing "backdoor deal" about that.

when are we going to have our own chat room ..systalk  ..we need 1

#Syscoin on Freenode IRC, we're in there round the clock!

And what is the devs plan to help the coin recover? It seems there is no plan. Wasting btc on some features that noone is using and which are not promoted is not a plan. Waiting for FUDders to go away and the price magically rise is not a plan. Look at first page of bittrex. Sys is the only coin that has not recovered after weekend. There is no way this coin will succeed the sell pressure is bigger and bigger and devs are just hoping that waiting will fix Everything.

Quoting from earlier since this is repetition:

For those asking about roadmaps or no clear path forward - this is why we are locking this thread and moving to a new one. We have posted this information multiple times but its been lost in the avalanche of pages here. To reiterate, and this will be clearly posted in the new thread later today [ROADMAP]:

- Merged Mining and Service fee regeneration (we are working on this now on testnet, we have regen working and MM but there was an issue with MM + services which we're ironing out right now). <- this will constitute the NEXT release aka 0.1.4 and will happen very soon, we're not launching things without overly testing now.
- ESCROW. We already have stubs in the code and this is the next feature to be implemented
- END TO END ENCRYPTION USING SYSCOIN KEYS - This is after escrow
- SERVICE FEE SCHEDULE FINALIZATION (after 90 day period, dynamic pricing will go into effect)
- QT WALLET IMPROVEMENTS (services in wallet, with nice UIs)
- (in parallel with the above, the non-C devs on the team): Building web-based service demos on top of all our four launch services all of which are properly functioning.

The above represents a 1-3month roadmap and will be clear in the new post, which will be up later today we were drafting it yesterday but then focused on Merged-mining later in the day.

We're talking now about rolling out Service Fee Regeneration as its own release without merged mining, within the next day or so. Details to follow shortly lots of stuff going on today.
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 24, 2014, 04:14:12 PM

Moolah wants to make sure we came through on our commitments and didn't just slack off given the shaky launch. We have spoken with them and will issue a statement Tuesday once the official paperwork is complete but things are all good Smiley in the interim I can say we are starting to roll out BTC bounty payments to those owed and will start shipping rewards as well! Going to be another busy day!

@danosphere what about the new thread ?

Coles

Will be up today we already have a draft its much much nicer/clearer than the OP. The last post in THIS thread will be a link to the new thread, then I will lock this thread. Will happen in hours Wink new thread will still backlink to this thread for full traceability. Meant to get it up yesterday but Merged-mining testing took precedence.
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 24, 2014, 03:59:45 PM
the one i just downloaded (it was the same wallet as i downloaded last night) did the same thing. it runs and downloads the chain, scans and then i get the same error. let me know when you fix it. until then all SYS mining proceeds go to the exchange.

If you're redownloading the windows wallet that fixes this issue did you clear your old data first (in roaming folder)? If you did and this is still a problem this would be the first report we've had of such an issue with this win wallet- please send your debug.log to dan@syscoin.org so we can further analyze and assist, thanks.

Moolah should give some kind of statement in regards of this. They looked awesome with handling the situation on the launch, but now something is fishy...

Moolah should give the money to the devs or return it to the investors.

AT NO TIME DID THE INVESTORS AGREE TO ALLOW MOOLAH TO HOLD THE FUNDS FOR THEMSELVES INDEFINITELY.

Agreed.

Is there an official statement on why Moolah is not releasing the first 250 BTC?

Not particularly impressed with Moolah at this stage and would be very wary of investing through them again unless they rectify the situation quick smart!

this is the error im continually getting after opening the wallet. i have to uninstall and reinstall for it to work and it only works one time before it errors out.

Get the latest wallet from OP.
is there a new wallet coming out every morning now??? this is the newest one i was told i needed yesterday..
Syscoin-Qt (OSS GUI client for Syscoin) Syscoin_v0.1.3

No but we do work to update any issues we find ASAP. The QT wallets were impacted by issues relating to the display of the services pages so we removed them and also removed the installer-based approach. These new wallets address "hanging" issues / the error you screencap'd in your post.

this is the error im continually getting after opening the wallet. i have to uninstall and reinstall for it to work and it only works one time before it errors out.

We have moved to non-installer based wallets. Please uninstall your current wallet, download the latest windows EXE/ZIP and you will be good to go.

This can be tricky as Moolah can use problematic launch, as excuse to hold funds, for as long as they want/need. This is not only about protecting IPO investors, this is also about having in the pocket ~1500BTC that can be invested in market manipulations or another projects.
For the sake of they reputation they should release IPO ASAP. I wish all the best for SYSCOIN Dev team and hope it all works out good for them with Moolah ......

It's a sensitive situation - from Moolah's perspective, I'm sure they're worried about doing something in some way, or making some unintended mistake, that could come back to haunt them later, almost no matter what they do. The whole situation is a mess.

It is sensitive and we're working with them. We both want to see the value of this coin grow and yes launching something this dramatically different than other coins is a difficult undertaking, the team (Syscoin) underestimated the scale of this undertaking and yes there were issues at launch which we resolved as quickly as possible and now things are working correctly.

We will begin shipping rewards this week pending the first payout from the fund, we have all of the gear ready to go out the door!

Looking forward to reading the roadmap and getting my goodies.  Smiley

Any news on payouts for the bounties?

Thanks! We're looking forward to shipping them out as they'll get more awareness around Syscoin in general. Bounty payouts in SYS have already started if you are owed something and haven't been paid please contact sebastien1234 from the team. BTC bounties are getting paid out as soon as we receive the first portion of the funding which we're waiting on but hoping for today.
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 24, 2014, 03:20:05 PM
IMO the way to make the value grow is to start building all the things that this project promises.  Obviously that needs money to be released so that should be an urgent priority.  I don't think any funds should be used to make buy walls and the like though.  This would be completely pointless and counterproductive.  Value is added through utility and function, not through price manipulation (which can only ever be a short term fix).  Putting up buy walls would be a sign of fear/uncertainty and liable to backfire.  Let's get funds released and start building real value.

BTW we totally agree with this- we want to grow value in a real way. Not though walls and price manipulation. We already spent 250btc of the fund on buy support and Moolah is holding that SYS as per the payout schedule communicated earlier. What remains of the fund will be pushed toward additional dev, scaling the team, bringing on FT devs and a community manager to join the existing team and continue executing and expediting the roadmap outlined in my last post. We have 3 new devs we've brought on since launch but have paused growing the team further until we have some of the funding in place which should happen shortly.

Pools list has been cleaned up. We may be releasing another update tomorrow afternoon (0.1.4) which will be MANDATORY. We are not sure yet, will post to OP when verified with more specifics. This release will turn on merged mining and service-fee regeneration for miners (larger rewards!). More to come!

Still having the same problem with the wallet not showing on load.

Version: SysCoin v0.1.3

It worked a few times on reload when I first installed the new version but not anymore..  Sad

yeah Mac or Win pls? If Mac we are on this right now.

qt on Ubuntu, built from source from Github.

What commit did you build off? We realized the issue was impacting all QT environments. Please give it another pull and see if it fixes the issue, if not hop in #syscoin and we'll help ya out it should be good.

have the devs figured out whats up with the windows wallet? v3 is not opening again. i really hate having to uninstall and reinstall this thing.

Are you 110% using the latest FIXED version (If you still have Marketplace buttons in your version you are not using the latest). We will update the build number, but please try and download from the OP and try it out.
We are working to add this back in.

Yes please verify it is the latest from the OP.

Also we are testing that new Mac wallet mentioned earlier too!  Grin

Annnnd its ready (and on OP) -> https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/25508862/Syscoin/wallets/Syscoin-Qt-0.1.3.dmg

We are aware that are mega links are being attacked / removed. We are moving to hosting our wallet on our own servers with mirrors on dropbox. Sorry for the inconvenience as we move things around.

For the people that missed it, below is the latest news from Moolah about SYScoin. I guess we have to wait till Tuesday to get more info from them about releasing the first 250 BTC.

That was posted before we had an opportunity to speak with them. While all of that is still very true there will be some minor adjustments in line with what I posted earlier (publicly visibility of funds, etc). We are also looking for a 500btc initial payment so we can pay 6months of backdue expenses, new developers that came on through launch, bounties, and of course forward moving expenses as we continue development and bring on even more coders/services/partners/marketing.

We had an opportunity to speak with Alex just now and things sound very good- we're excited. Looks like we may be receiving initial funding here sometime today which will be huge in terms of enabling us to "unclog" our pipeline. You'll know it when we have it!  Smiley

Some members of the team (myself included) have already stated they will be using some of their personal coins for buy support and hashing power until the network gets more hashing power on its own. We have complete faith in Syscoin. Development-wise We are also working on merged-mining and regenerated service fees for miners which will being back a lot of miners that left due to low payouts. Syscoin is moving forward!!

Also we are testing that new Mac wallet mentioned earlier too!  Grin

Perhaps you should put a poll on here so users can vote

1 Release some funds now
2 Wait a bit longer

We're not trying to turn this into a big public vote/issue. We want to work with Moolah- the partnership will take this coin to new levels. We just want to get the agreement finalized and the first payment released so we can get cracking asap!
558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 23, 2014, 06:53:08 PM
It upsets me Moolah is holding the funds like a hostage. You give a little but get nothing back. Damn terrorists.

Moolah holding the funds is protecting us. Not that I don't trust the devs, but as they are essentially getting paid in portions by Moolah, they need to keep performing in order to get some funding... To me, this is proof that this coin will last, as the devs can't scam us in any way with Moolah on board.

And as I've mentioned we are agreeable to this but need some items added to the agreement. The issue is we haven't gotten anything yet, we returned the 250btc we initially received immediately upon issues arising and are now operating on 0btc.

We requested a few small changes to the agreement we feel are reasonable: the 1000btc being siphoned out over 4 months be put in a public wallet for all to see. We also want the SYS that was purchased using 250btc (approved by us- approx 60mil) for buy support be in a public wallet as well (paid in month 5). Concrete terms around the development commitment from Moolah and concrete expectations each month related to the monthly fund release and exact day each month funds will be released- this is important for budget planning. We are now waiting.
559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 23, 2014, 06:43:59 PM
It upsets me Moolah is holding the funds like a hostage. You give a little but get nothing back. Damn terrorists.

They were very quick to withhold funds when things didnt go to plan, so should be equally as responsive at providing the funds when applicable - IE now.

As far as i can see the team seem ontop of their game, are continually trying to juggle the dev work/bug fixing, keep us updated and pay for external resources building whilst being stifled by Moolah who appears to be treating them like a naughty child who doesnt deserve their pocket money.

Better watch out - they'll have you washing their pots and polishing their shoes next.

Moolah needs to step up fast at this stage.

We are frustrated and concerned as well. We are trying to be patient but watching the price slide as we wait for funding is certainly tough on the entire team/families (and the community as well I'm sure). We're still working hard on the core code and improvements but have so much waiting to go pending paying people, and so many devs who have jumped on to help us that deserve payment we cannot yet provide. We aren't trying to dump SYS to get the BTC we need to pay these people, we already have it sitting in that fund.
560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 23, 2014, 05:41:00 PM
I may have missed it and don't feel like sifting through 300 pages. How can I fix this?

followed by

This was fixed int he 0.1.3 release 2 which we updated for windows. Download the latest 0.1.3 windows wallet, clean you chain data and rerun the wallet. If you used an installer please uninstall first. If you need help the team is constantly in #Syscoin on freenode for much faster help.

Dev, are you going to switch to new thread? I think almost all issues from wallet were solved.

Yes, working on the new, clean thread now. Will be locking and moving later today Wink

We are working on a lot of things right now, the overnight-merged-mining tests are strong so far and we're just waiting a few more hours on the testnet before talking about releasing this to the public. This will introduce a much higher hash rate to the network. We also have restored regenerated service fees for miners and it appears to be working well- this means rewards much > 128SYS for miners meaning more miners! Testing and retesting before getting a new build together.

We are still waiting for fund release from Moolah and I would be remiss if I didn't say this is really slowing down progress at this point. We have several services that have been developed for us by bounty-seekers which we cannot release until we pay them, and we have nothing to pay them with right now. We have developers that are helping us but they need payment too. This is one of the biggest impediments to our growing Syscoin. Our core team is still working very hard. We spent all our personal funds getting things together for the launch and have exercised more of our personal funds through launch (yes, we are now in debt). Its like trying to launch a rocket with no fuel. We're hoping to get some funds ASAP, we need them badly. Once we're past that things should really start moving, until then i feel like we're in slow motion waiting.
