I had never heard of the honey badger. Had to look it up. Thank you!  Cheesy

Lol, this video is awesome. I can't stop joking.

if I read that correctly anything on market will be outmatched (I assume that also includes BFL)
Quote
surely they will be much better than all available similar products in the market now.

Sorry to insist again, but in October the market will be different, and Friedcat never said that things at that time will be outmatched. I'm just sticking literaly to the exact wording, because I believe it can have its importance so don't misunderstand his statement. We're far from being sure to outmatch the market in October technologically, or in terms of price, or delivery, or whatever.

Keep a few more things in mind:

1. The mining hardware leader doesn't need to compete on technology, it needs to compete on value.
2. Friedcat tends to underpromise and overdeliver.
3. AM likely has other products and tricks up its sleeve.
4. No one else has demonstrated a guarantee of best-in-class mining equipment being delivered before October. Some may have goals, but only time will tell.

+1

And +9999 to point 2. All other ASIC sellers promise too much and they're always late. AsicMiner do the opposite.

Now I feel really bad for selling @ 2,5 btc  Embarrassed

Hola.

Any advice on NMC?

I don't really know what to do with them. Hold long term? Hold before they go up (how much)? Just instantly sell them?

2330  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you had a $1,000 to invest... on: June 13, 2013, 12:38:50 AM
Only bitcoins for sure. Alt coins are overpriced and 100% speculation.

Hoo boy...what is this shit? Have issues frequently since last night. My miner always switches back to low clock after he couldn´t contact the pool.

Hope the guys from BitMinter fix that issues soon, otherwhise I could start thinking about to change pool.  Undecided

It's still the best pool around IMHO ... mainly because the downtimes aren't very long and NMC support.

But as I said earlier, if we don't get more hashrate here, I think the pool is doomed.

M

I also love the pool, but I don't think variance is so big. Unless you need constant flow of money for paying something is the same after some months of mining. Luck will be near 0.

2336  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] >>AsicMiner USB, Casascius Coins!<< Shipping EU. Pay with SEPA/BTC! on: June 12, 2013, 02:47:43 PM
I if take seven pieces to Germany, would the shipping costs i save include an assurance?

With 7 shipping is free.

Can't incluide insurance, it is 48,4€ for 1,000€ max.
But IMO it is not worth it, they only lose about 0,5% package, and you're paying nearly 5% for assurance.

2338  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: From idea to App Store in 10 hours: Free Bitcoin Trading Game for IOS on: June 12, 2013, 02:27:43 PM
It does not allow me to buy decimals, only round numbers.

Whats your device and ios version number? I just tried buying 0.1btc and 0.05btc and it worked fine on my device.

iphone 4
ios 6.0.1

so what happens when you buy 0.1 btc? what shows up in the notification after?

It just tells me you bought 0 bitcoin with $0,00

The same happens if I try to buy 1,XX ; 2,XX ; etc

which country are you from and what language is your iphone set to?

Yes, but I can only use ","

I'm from Spain, using Spanish.

PD: I also see:

- My USD balance: 500,76
- My net worth: 10,267

But current mtgox price is in $

o ok I see the problem. I will change my device to spanish to try to fix the problem. Unfortunately it probably won't reach the app store for 2 weeks because I just submitted the last update yesterday and it will take 1 week for them to approve each update.

No problem, I can survive just buying round numers until it is fixed Smiley
2339  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Selling 15,000 BTC at $0.20/BTC on: June 12, 2013, 01:25:27 PM
I'll do the math. In 2010 when this post was created, it would cost you $3,000 to buy 15,000/BTC for only $0.20

Now, imagine if you Bought all those bitcoins, and forgot about them until now today.. "oh shit, I've got bitcoins!"..

Lets get to selling for the market exchange prices today!

Sell: 15,000/BTC X $109/USD* Estimated = You made: $1,635,000 USD

In 3 years time, you'd be a millionaire because of bitcoins..

That's $545,000/year just because you had $3,000 to throw
on an *IDEA* that Bitcoins would be worth something later.

Crazy how opportunity hits us in the head, and we couldn't see it at the time.

Someone told me about bitcoin in 2011, but at that time it was just the idea of begin an egg... At that time it was impossible to understand/use unless you were a computer nerd.

And of course if you bought at $0,20 you will probably sell a good part of them when reaching $5, $10 and so on.

So, unless you really forgot them is a miracle if you still keep all your bitcoins.
I can't imagine if now you come back to take your 15,000 btc, and you forgot your password... LOL suicide?
2340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you believe the bitcoin is 5 years old? on: June 12, 2013, 12:28:31 PM
