1181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching children Bitcoin is not in vain on: February 10, 2023, 04:34:08 PM
It's not necessary to teach kids about bitcoin at a very young age, it can shift their attention toward money and you all know that in school teachers don't teach students about money, so I'd say its better to wait for them to grow up a bit and check what this kids like doing, kids are always curious about things and if they have goals and you introduce bitcoin to the kids it can impact their thinking and goal.

I will only teach teenagers that are into tech and computers, if you think about it very well you will understand why.
We should let the children enjoy their time being kids but once they can understand the importance of financial literacy and savings we will need to explain to them some ways that can help them save. Not literally to for them to earn but to put their money into something worth investing than putting in gadgets or in things that will not generate money or will just lose value in the future. We're lucky enough to be able to learn Bitcoin now so it is good if we will be able to spread and make our families aware about this.
1182  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Wiped up tokens by Scammers on: February 10, 2023, 01:39:41 PM
I think you are not using trusted platform on your trades. I never heard about an exchange name Hantec. Where do you get this kind of exchange and are you not familiar on Binance?

Also you should not trust anyone online to open your wallet or exchange just to recover because you are just giving them permission to scam you more. You are easy to convince and using unknown exchange. You should start changing yourself by using only trusted platfor and avoid giving away your account info.

Fnatic Dota 2 guys just disbanded. Although they're still participating in the last tournament which is the BTS Asia but that's going to be their last participation.

But the organization has already explained that they'll be out for Dota 2 and I think this is a good strategy for them because the team has already been sent to division 2. And by being there, they'll have a lot of time to get back to division 1.

I guess they'll be back if the qualifiers for TI has come.

For their official tweet and announcement, here it is: https://twitter.com/FNATIC/status/1624001046862241793

As per reading the official tweet of Fnatic. They are just temporarily exit on Dota2. I understand this because they are competing Dota Pro scene for a long time without achieving significant title such is TI and Major tournament. Their current roster is already very weak based on their recent performance on BTS. They are already burning too much resources on their team and continuing this will surely just waste money since their current roster is weak.

It’s sad but maybe it’s really time for them to rest so that SEA team will be more competitive with less team.
1184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and it effect to our local community on: February 09, 2023, 05:37:06 PM
I would love us to share this idea, I have it in mind to introduce Bitcointalk to the people around me, but I wish to ask, how do I go about it,

Just give them a brief description about Bitcoin and emphasize it’s main feature then leave the rest for them to research for themselves. Spoon feeding them with a lot of info that available on the internet will just gonna make them more reliable to you rather than understand the technology by themselves.

Do you think it will be of advantage or disadvantage to my community?

It depends on what kind of community you have. It’s an advantage if you have an open minded community that willing to learn and disadvantage if the community you’ve got is very toxic. You will just be subjected to criticism and blaming once they lose money through Bitcoin even though you gave them a disclaimer. Choice is yours since you can freely enjoy Bitcoin investment without the need to disturb your personal life.
1185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs of compulsive gambling on: February 09, 2023, 04:43:02 PM

Are we talking about Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) that just only related to gambling?

Until some point, we keep doing it even realizing what are the harms behind gambling but their urge to make money or feel the adrenaline keeps pushing them to bet more and more. So it's better to have limitations and restrictions over anything we do whether it's drinking coffee or betting money.
Others will only realise that they are into compulsive gambling when people already called them addicted or when they need some advice to remove themselves from this addiction or in thinking of gambling. When one is in denial that they gambling too much then that is also a sign that they are into compulsive gambling. Many will be in denial of their status and will just say that they are gambling for fun until they lose everything they have. There should be open mindedness when we enter gambling once we lose that we will lose our way in stopping to play and will just keep ourselves doing it until such time it will be too late to stop.
1186  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we experience $80k this year? on: February 09, 2023, 02:28:32 PM

These are two different questions and you are in the position to give a precise guide of your assumption and prediction of the price of $80,000. At the main time and with the way that bitcoin has increased these few days and the beginning of the year. This year may be different anyway from the movement as it is steadily increasing in the year before halving which is not the usual way of the movement. However, I'm not expecting the possibility of such price before halving.
Even where still in the early months of this year we can’t still say that the price will reach that amount as it’s still far from the price now and we don’t expect any news that may come from bitcoin anytime soon due to ongoing economic problems of different countries and wars that some countries experiencing. We don’t know yet what the price will be once halving is done. In the meantime what I do now is Hold and acquire some since I still see somewhere in the future if not this year that price will increase again I just bought some BTC whenever I can and will just wait till the next bull run.
1187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption growing stronger everyday on: February 09, 2023, 01:11:54 PM
as long as the internet has reached an area, we can see that most of today's young generation are familiar with bitcoin. and then spread to their parents and their families. and one day when the majority of citizens in a country are familiar with bitcoin, that's when a country inevitably has to regulate laws regarding this matter. and now one by one countries in the world have started to make laws regarding crypto and bitcoin assets. like the latest one is from Brazil. and I think soon more countries will do the same. and this brings closer to global adoption of bitcoin. but of course it takes a long time maybe years or more.
There should be also a proper orientation to others who are new in crypto, in my country there are plenty of users who wanted to tries it but then news online or in televisions only the scam issues are announced that makes others doubt it. Crypto will only be to those who are willing to take risk as we can’t guarantee to others that they will get profit. It requires knowledge and patience as only those who are capable to invest and trade will succeed in bitcoin. Many will know bitcoin and might tries it but not all will stick in using or having it.
1188  Other / Meta / Re: Does Bitcointalk talk about other investment platform aside Bitcoin on: February 09, 2023, 08:35:29 AM
Can someone start an investment outside crypto(Bitcoin) and come to this forum for advices, advertisement and contributions?
Please I'm new bie and have been willing to ask this question, please I need your contributions,

Crypto is the general for Bitcoin since Altcoin can be considered as crypto too. There’s an Altcoin discussion board which you can talk other crypto investment aside from Bitcoin and Economics board to discuss a general investment discussion that involves fiat.

This forum name as Bitcointalk because this is the forum where Bitcoin last discussed by the founder before he leaves. By that time, There’s no altcoin so the name only focus on Bitcoin because there’s no other crypto to talk about. Crypto is already evolve that produce tons of altcoin which means this forum is already not exclusive on Bitcoin discussion alone.
1189  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who would you trust? on: February 08, 2023, 05:18:56 PM
Since strategy are always changing in trading, what is the relevance of experience? Who would you trust the most for trading tips,
An old trader who has had better days and mostly still relevant because they have a strong reputation for the fact that he has been trading for a while, or would you trust a new trader who is hot in the market and fresh with new strategies?

Portfolio matters the most and experienced is useless if his trading portfolio is not good at all. A newbie trader with a solid winning percentage portfolio with accuracy is much better on pro traders that is just all talk bout indicators but has a failure portfolio because the record is what matter most in trading and not lengthy experience. Trading outcome is unstable and experience of traders is irrelevant if they didn’t learn anything from it.
1190  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving is Wasting? on: February 08, 2023, 02:00:14 PM
Being a student is so hard nowadays. I've been spending a lot for school requirements and different activities related to education. I'm stuck with this saying "SAVING IS WASTING", thinking that with the little amount of money I have, should I put it on an investment or should I just save it for my future expenses or emergencies. I'm also living in a country in which there are limited side hustles I could do to earn extra for investment, so I'm troubled somehow.

In your case it’s not because you will need money any moment due to your school needs. Putting it on investment will just ruin your money profitability because you can’t get enough profit in short term on an investment unless you will enter a high volatility investment. Money shouldn’t be put always on investment, it highly depends your situation and needs about the about the money. Savings is very good if you need a sure money for an upcoming expenses while you are still not earning passively through your work.
1191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoiners are not friendly physical? on: February 04, 2023, 04:04:10 PM
It's incorrect to claim that all Bitcoin users avoid in-person meetings. Some individuals may opt for anonymity due to security concerns,  especially given that Bitcoin transactions can be publicly visible on the blockchain. It's also possible that some people simply prefer the convenience of online communication and transactions, and have no interest in in-person meetings.

The beauty of Bitcoin is that you can be whoever you want to be, or not be at all.

If things can be done online, I prefer to do it online also. It will save both time and energy especially now that transportation fuel and price is high. I have some friends who wanted to learn crypto and they know I knew some in trading so they opted to visit and it is best since I will be able to explain it to them in my place where I feel the comfort and I have my computer or resources with. I think it will depend on our situation and who will be our meeting with, if we don't know yet the person and just knew them online it will be better to discuss or have conversations online than face to face.
1192  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Deal with Volatility? on: February 04, 2023, 03:06:34 PM
There is no other way to deal with the volatility but to embrace this. In fact, we don't need to be afraid of the unpredictable trend but rather make use of this to earn more. Because the more we understand the importance of volatility, the more we like it.
Volatility help us earn, this what makes it more unique in stock trading as we will be able to earn more if we're good enough in trading since the prices can go up without waiting too much. In stocks even there is volatility it didn't happen in an instant or changes that much unlike in crypto. Though crypto trading it is riskier since we need to monitor it thoroughly and we need to keep ourselves prepared in the changes of the market,we must know the capability of the investment or coin we have to not lose that much.
1193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Act local and think global on: February 04, 2023, 12:54:41 PM
Today too many people are in worries about Bitcoin adoption, they want to see the global adoption happens overnight, that is impossible, I had some chats yesterday within a mist of friends and they are talking about how they don't notice any fast global bitcoin adoption, I told them that it won't happen instantly.

We are already on 2023 while Bitcoin was invented during 2009. It’s already more than a decade for Bitcoin existence and people is not thinking global adoption should happened overnight because Bitcoin adoption is really very slow. I will understand your comment if we are on 2010 or 2011 because people will obviously too impatient but right now Bitcoin already have the spotlight and the capability to speed up Bitcoin adoption. We just need to do our job to support Bitcoin and become more aggressive than ever.
1194  Economy / Exchanges / Re: https://crypto-exch.com/ ? on: February 03, 2023, 06:58:45 PM

This is scam as hell. The picture is clearly guiding a newbie to create a Bitcoin wallet and top up the balance then send to exchange wallet while they are the exchange itself that is source of Bitcoin and other crypto. This is the only exchange I know that has a reverse procedure on how to acquire crypto.  Grin

Looking on the ground of his post. He is comparing staking and gambling in terms of profitability. So he is not wrong on saying that statement since his comparison for gambling is staking which provide fixed profit while gambling is still a game of chance and we all know that losing on gambling is very high due to house edge.

I believe he is just trying to promote staking for a more safe way to earn which is not bad idea since staking and gambling is both feature of BFG tokens. It’s not wrong to compared both Staking and Gambling for the sake of profitability using BFG tokens.

It seems to me that gambling only on the daily staking payouts is a safe way to keep BFG tokens or even multiply them. On the one hand, this strategy allows you not to lose your initial investment because the BFG tokens remain in the staking. On the other hand, the daily staking payouts allow you to take a risk in gambling, and even if you lose, you will have another try the next day. The only problem with this strategy is that you need to have a lot of BFG tokens in staking. At least you should have a couple hundred thousand BFG tokens to get only a few dollars as a daily staking payout.

I agree on this. Playing only using the profit will minimize risk involved and also players will have no pressure at when playing using profit only that result for better gameplay because they can think straight when gambling.

Personally, Most of my gambling win happened when my bank roll was small because I’m not scared to increase bet when needed and no pressure when losing that usually makes me do careless bet to chase losses.
1196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Charitable Casinos on: February 03, 2023, 03:06:23 PM
I believe this casino type exists in a Physical casino since they use it for publicity for their brand. Simply searching the web will give tons of result about a casino that donates or have a charity program using part of their profit. Casinos like on the list https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/entertainment/casinos/story/2019-12-01/casinos-give-back-through-charitable-donations are those who made profit from local players and this is there way for returning profit to the community.

It's been a long time since I visited and played at Betfurry I just focused on trading BFG tokens, token prices are quite stable not going up and not falling too much, I want to maximize my profits at Betfurry playing and staking
why don't you just try staking because if you play gambling I think you won't get any profit or just lose it, so you should look for safety and you should do staking at least as a long term investment if you believe in the future of this casino

Although most of the time gamblers are losing when gambling, but there are always 2 possible results in gambling (win or lose).
So saying that he will just lose it, is like that it is impossible to win in gambling which is completely wrong.
Gambling and Staking are 2 different thing absolutely, as long as he can manage his money wisely, it is fine to gamble while there is a chance to earn more BFG by gambling.

1199  Economy / Speculation / Re: what now ? on: February 02, 2023, 01:48:28 PM
This depends on how our speculation is because if you look at it now there are still many who say that this is a bullish start and some say this is temporary.
But regardless I'm not going to do anything now other than wait and keep doing DCA like I've done before.
This is something that I will continue to do regardless of the current conditions, even if the initial bullish price is still very much worth it to continue buying.

You are contradicting your own statement. You are not doing anything now yet you are doing DCA and your doing it as regular basis. This is a very confusing statement as an opinion for the current movement of crypto. You are definitely doing buy despite the current market situation which is a good move if ypu are reallu doing it and not just for posting quota purposes only.

Looking at the long term chart, We are still at the bottom of the current cycle so it means that the price can still go low or pump then dump to create an Elliot wave cycle for the current crypto cycle. I don’t believe on straight up or down in chart. There’s always a correction in every crypto movement.
1200  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for paying online casinos for refer on: February 01, 2023, 04:31:49 PM
All casino has their own unique referral program which varies per casino. The only thing you need is to find the list of all trusted and active casino. You can use this table https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5333602.0 as reference for active casino that has an affiliate reward program.

Typically most of the high roller player came from the fiat casino and just refer on crypto casino by agent. I’m curious on what tools you are using to acquire affiliates.
