1061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do new online casinos struggle? on: April 08, 2023, 03:04:07 PM
Any casino that has the operators behind it not being experienced enough in gambling will suffer alot in terms of cost of operations and maintenance because they don't have an idea of how it had been used to be, all you will see is that they are spending much but seing less, before a casino can come into full operation, they needed to carry out sone pre-operational check and research on that particular field, gambling casino is not what anyone can wake up and decided to run, else he has failed already right before starting.

Agree. It’s only possible to operate a casino low cost through decentralized casino which doesn’t offer 3rd party games and other special feature like live support in the casino. This way, Only the website cost and maintenance is needed expenses and the rest will be just pure marketing but the only cons was the demand for this type of casino is very low that even Primedice upgraded their decentralized dice site to full centralized casino Stake.com.

Right now, the real killer is the marketing because this is the bread and butter of casino industry to become successful in this business.
1062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: April 07, 2023, 05:30:32 PM

It seems some bookies are still giving decent odds on Old G because they are not considered as any favourites yet so yeah Im taking advantage on this for a while until the odds are lowered to around 1.5 or something

Nice win. It hilarious to see the OG fan page excited for the dream match between the 2 OG teams that turns to be an ultimate bonding experience on elimination.  Cheesy

Old G has very good track record on their Division 2 run which possibly the reason for bookies to gave them a decent odds. Hellraiser has Ramzes as pos 1 which is far better and competitive than noone. I will choose too the HR over OldG if I will bet on this match. Congratulations on countering the positive chime of OG.
1063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin overshadowed by economic lie on: April 07, 2023, 04:12:53 PM
I feel at 14 years BTC can still be called a new currency or asset, just over a decade is not enough time for BTC to spread through most of the percentage of human population. BTC adoption has been very good since it was created until now, but mass adoption will take a very long time.

Agree mate! BTC adoption is always subjected on ups and down because bank is always doing something just to bring down Bitcoin while the solid Bitcoin community slowly building again through unwavering dedication of trusting Bitcoin. CBDC, Banks targeting crypto project like US/Terra to create panic on crypto market and other negative propaganda.

I’m actually happy that Bitcoin still strong in the face of economic crisis. US economy is crumbling yet people still choosing to invest on Bitcoin as an alternative to dying banking system.

1064  Economy / Gambling / Re: Enough to consider a casino scam? on: April 07, 2023, 03:04:19 PM
What will you do if you don't know that a online casino will ask you for KYC after winning over 8,000$ on the platform? And you now manage to process with the verification and they failed to pass you? Can you consider such a casino a scam?

It’s customary to read the casino ToS and head over the AML policy to determine whether they will ask KYC at some point or not but mostly casino that have an e-gaming license such as Curacao will surely require you to undergo KYC for that amount of profit.

I try to passed KYC before on Duelbits and they keep rejecting my documents for 10ths times despite I’m passing a clear picture. I contact the support and they suggest me to submit other ID that works. You should try different ID or ask directly the support on the reason for the rejection of the ID because there might be a problem on the documents you are submitting while your judgement is being blocked by your suspicions towards the casino.

Casino is scam if they didn’t provide the reason for rejecting your ID or if they are not willing to cooperate for solving the issue.
1065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin overshadowed by economic lie on: April 07, 2023, 02:53:11 PM
Bitcoin exist for over a decade yet there’s only few percentage of the human population is involved on Bitcoin investment. Not because that the majority of people is not aware nor exposed but because they are the victim of economic lie such disinformation towards Bitcoin through negative propaganda of Banks.

We are all being feed of wrong information of economic norms by the billionaires that benefiting the current system. Bitcoin is the best asset to invest in terms of price growth on long term period yet people are still scared to touch due the wrong information given by the main stream media.

In the country that I live, Bitcoin has a stigma of being a scam because our own government warn the public to not engage on Bitcoin investment due to a lot of scam involves it and the volatility is high. Most of the people here including the old professional don’t dare to touch it despite Bitcoin already has good price history.

1066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: this is how i researched about bitcoin. on: April 07, 2023, 12:14:28 PM
then i researched about what is mining and why GPU's always been out of stock. then i learned about bitcoin and took my first trade of $20 in 2021, when the bull run was ongoing and now i am in 80% loss because i was very new then and invested most of the part in altcoins.

what's your story?
Imho Bitcoin can’t be mine using GPU during 2021 and most probably you will encounter first Ethereum instead of Bitcoin since GPU mining is profitable only for altcoin like Ethereum since Bitcoin can only be mine using Asic miner.

I first encounter Bitcoin through ponzi that being shared to social media in my country. Bitcoin become popular here due to faucet and ponzi which promises profit by just solving captcha and investing online. I learn Bitcoin the hard way by experiencing a lot of scam since there’s no clear warning about this scam scheme before. I just become open minded after learning the forum and discuss here with other user.

1067  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S. Treasury under pressure of DeFi market threat! on: April 06, 2023, 05:53:30 PM
what they dont like is HOARDERS. people that save money/dont move money for years. because if money is not circulating/moving. the treasury cannot charge tax per movement
Does accumulating of interest stake from capital stake on DeFi is not counted as moving money? I’m not familiar how taxation law on US but some DeFi offer a real time interest that being add on the balance for the equivalent portion of APY per hour.

So it means that every transaction made in the blockchain is already counted as moving money and subjected for crypto tax despite there’s no profit/loss occur on the original capital and just the fiat value of crypto changes due to the volatility?
1068  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | Bitcoin Mixer | Lowest Fees 0.25%-4% | Ultimate Privacy on: April 06, 2023, 05:26:42 PM
Update -

Clearnet server is getting DDoS'd and is now down for maintenance. Tor version works as usual, so for the next hours please use that instead!

Since we are at the beginning I don't worry too much about the uptime for the Clearnet service, I'd rather take the time and make multiple adjustments to the proprietary DDoS protection until I get it right instead of using Cloudflare or any 3rd party.

In an event when I deposit already money on the mixing address provided while the Ddos attack occur. Will the mixing process continue or the service will temporarily pause and resume once the update completed. I successfully mix already in the fast. I just notice that my deposit needs to have 2 confirmation before mixing will commence based on the set time and a problem like this might occur on this period. Clearnet version is always available whenever I’m visiting the mixer.
1069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Champions prediction. on: April 06, 2023, 04:38:35 PM
The Warriors are the defending champions, and their current odds are +1100, which is decent and likely to attract many bets. Additionally, it has been reported that Wiggins has returned and is expected to play in the playoffs, which could boost the team's chances of repeating their victory.

Voted for them already.

The odds is really tempting but they already sacrificed a lot of their good bench players which is responsible for their strong second half last year just to maintain their first 5 line up. Current GSW has a very weak defense and can be destroyed by the team with balance offense and defense like Nuggets and Boston.

GSW might have a good run but this year will gonna be a lot harder compared last year due to their current roster and every team on West is very strong with their complete line-up.
1070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microstrategy bought more bitcoin on: April 06, 2023, 03:17:24 PM
I think this is a good news as we have this crypto enthusiast organization that continue to buy more bitcoin. Microstrategy bought more bitcoin. Its total holding is now 140000 BTC.

It’s nice to see someone have high confidence on Bitcoin investment through investing the majority of his money on it but we all know that this is an investment and they are the one who will take profit on the top on e the price recovered. This kind of huge holdings will surely erased all the price growth that established slowly overtime due to its ripple effect on every institutional investor. This investors is like a time bomb on Bitcoin because they are dominating the total supply of Bitcoin.

This is just my opinion but what Saylor doing right is vital to give confidence to retail traders to don’t be afraid on Bitcoin investment. I’m sure he will be rewarded big time in the future.
1071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Electrum backup question on: April 06, 2023, 11:00:34 AM
There's no way to see your balance in your old wallet through private key or password.
You have to know the address to be able to check the balance.
So the best thing to do is finding your password. Try to check in a place or thing where you usually keep your passwords or important details. You can try to check in your old notebook in your old drawer. You can also try to check it in your browsing history if you didn't tried clearing it.

Private key doesn’t need password so if you are holding private key then you can have a direct access already to your wallet because you’re holding already the key. On this case was only the electrum backup or simply wallet.dat file is the OP holding which means this is an encrypted backup to access his balance. Private key is a different item from wallet.dat.

Nevertheless, the suggestion above is right on this case by brute forcing the password.  But it might took a significant of time if the OP remembered password is different to the real password. This is the gamble on using brute force with a keyword set on it.  Cheesy
1072  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My first post after reading forum rules before registration on: April 01, 2023, 05:17:55 PM
Good day to everyone here in this forum, this is my first post and I want you guys to please help me with how to solve the puzzle and collect coins before I make a post in the forum.

The forum said I am a suspected spammer but how can I be a spammer here when I am not even a member someone please help clarify this to me, because I cant see that in the bitcointalk rules I read.

Nice observation about the forum rules including the current extra security to control spammer. Just play the game below through collecting the required coins being ask on your screen. This game is visible when you are making post.

You will be tagged as spammer if you post without completing the captcha task which is getting the coin on flappy bird game. This is just a temporary feature dedicated for April fools celebration but it’s not bad following it if you want to become non-spammer while the rest of us is spammer on this single day. Honestly, I’d rather tagged as spammer rather than completing this insanely hard flappy bird. It’s harder when you complete more.
1073  Economy / Reputation / Re: This user is a suspected spammer! on: April 01, 2023, 04:56:10 PM
I have seen more and more people with that a red tag on their post saying „This user is a suspected spammer!“. However I can not find any negative trust or anything like this on their profile. Is this a new feature of the forum and how do people end up with that kind of tag?

Edit: Actually it seems that also I have this tag  Cheesy

Check the link on the news channel of the forum. Simply go here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5447077.0 to read the complete details of this special event of the forum.

As you can see, I don’t have that spammer tag after completing the coins required for captcha. Many user failed to solved the captcha through playing the game that result to your question.
1074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot Tournaments - Ever Heard of it? on: April 01, 2023, 02:52:41 PM
Stop the press! You're telling me slot tournaments exist? I thought slot machines were just for unenlightened souls pushing buttons, praying for a win.

But hot damn! The concept of battling it out with other players for the biggest jackpot is pure gold. It's like the Hunger Games, but for slot players. Will you triumph or suffer a crushing defeat?

But let's be real here, folks. Do we want to go head-to-head with other players and gamble our hard-earned cash? Or do we just wanna kick our feet up, zone out, and indulge in some button-pushing?

Do you even browse any casino especially the one that you are promoting because I can guarantee you that slot tournament is very common competition the only difference was OP example is from physical casino slots while online casino often do tournament for highest wager and highest multiplier tournament.

Many slot providers launch their separate tournaments in addition to the casino very own tournament. Joining on tournament with buy-in fee is useless while there’s a lot of casino offers free to enter tournaments to all their user. Check out game and rounds section because casino usually launch their exclusive slots tournament there for Bitcointalk user.
1075  Other / Meta / Re: whats going on BTT? on: April 01, 2023, 09:56:12 AM
Since you supposedly have 5 smerit prior to this “bug” on April fools day. Your issue can be solved by sending merits greater than 5 to make sure that the current smerit count is legit. You should spend it quick if that is legit smerit count because it will surely decay after April fools day. This might be part of the classical prank of Theymos that granting wish on unexpected day.  Congratulations!
1076  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: i don't have very technical knowledge about how secure it is on: March 31, 2023, 04:43:06 PM
what would happen to the value and adoption of Bitcoin if a major flaw in its protocol was discovered and exploited, leading to the loss of a significant portion of the coins in circulation,
and a loss of trust in the technology?
i don't have very technical knowledge about how secure it is .

No one knows the exact value but surely the price will collapse if this major flaw didn’t solved immediately. Trust and confidence are the 2 main factor that built the price of Bitcoin to this level. Removing this will make Bitcoin a normal shitcoin that can be exploited by hacker or the team itself.

Luckily Bitcoin survived for more than a decade without facing this major flaw unlike other coin like Ethereum that result to massive loss during the DAO incident.

1077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: History of Crypto Gambling: What is the closest/best successor to Directbet.eu? on: March 31, 2023, 03:21:18 PM
Oh how I missed this majestic book maker. I remember this sportsbook is the most popular back then because you can quickly made bets by just entering Bitcoin address and send bet to the designated wallet address. Payout is automatically sent to the use address once bet won.

What I alway do on this sportsbook is use the direct dice for quick profit whenever I lose my bet on sports.

I don’t remember clearly but is Directbet has a referral program or some sort of bonus reward for players?

For successor, Nah, No sportsbook follow this same path of Decentralized sportsbook.
1078  Economy / Gambling / Re: NEW Flush.com Crypto Casino - ♠️ $BTC ♦️ $ETH ♣️ $DOGE ♥️ $LTC on: March 31, 2023, 03:04:21 PM
At USDT BEP-20 is the only transaction that has very small fees compared to the others. I have always used BEP-20 in every transaction for a long time and have never experienced high fees even when transactions with large enough amounts BEP-20 is still relatively low cost.
But TRC-20 users are still quite popular today among crypto users in every transaction.
I don't know why they want to use the TRC-20 even though the cost is quite high, I think they are all the same without any advantages.

Polygon USDT has the cheapest fee if the casino will start adding this token. Even BSC is starting to increase transaction fee. They usually doesn’t charge any fee before on BSC transaction when funds came from Binance but right now they are charging 0.5$ the last time I check the exchange when I withdraw USDT BEP20. Doge and XRP is now the best token to use on playing in the casino due to their consistent cheap fee.
1079  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you profitable? on: March 31, 2023, 11:50:27 AM
In trading many people especially online influencers and traders, Are they really profitable?

Influencers is always profitable because of their streaming profit but I doubt that they are really profitable on trading because they only show the good side of their trade and most of them do so many risky trade which I find not profitable in long term.

Some of them is profitable and some of them is not since trading is just changing hands of one asset to another person in exchange for their money.
1080  Other / Meta / Re: Advertising on the forum no longer supported? on: March 30, 2023, 08:19:25 PM
-snip

Yes it’s not rented but it doesn’t mean ads sales stop at round 353 since theymos is still accepting offer which is why the round count keeps adding up.

According to the ads stats(https://bitcointalk.org/adrotate.php?adstats), the current round is already on 358 (January 28 to February 27). I believe Theymos is only accepting an offer and not through the form of ad sales auction like the previous version.
If there are no auctions anymore and the duration is determined individually for each advertiser, then what would the "round" refer to in these stats?

I believe the current ads stats is based on the default text ads set by the forum which you will see randomly that gives some general warning or tips etc.
