One on Tuesday direct to SEG Mining. I won't get to see it, but it will be hashing for me. Electricity / Hosting too expensive in AZ.

i feel like the coins are already destroyed. its not satoshi is gonna show up any time soon. for all we know hes already dead. really though he hasnt shown himself in the last couple of years. he couldve said something anonymously.
A couple years is not a long time for a project that was designed to span decades. Who's to say what his intentions are for the coins, if any. Maybe his kids inherit them. No one has a right to mess with them but him.

all of you guys forgotten to mention the MOST IMPORTANT comment or request :
PRICE !
it has to be lower or equivalent to a S9 within the specs range.
TY Avalon team.
p/s : will be replacing & expanding mining ops, 30 x S9's in the plan. If A7 can beat it then I will most likely go for A7
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I saw the A6 as more expensive than the S7 based on $ per TH/s. Not sure though. I never bought one. I would not be surprised if Avalon comes out with a miner that is around 9-11Th/s and .15 J/GH for $1600.

Oh man I missed the release of this!
I see everyone still doesn't take into account when you buy something like this u tend to be REPLACING other equipment. So to me $2100 is a steal, the equipment I sell I will get back around $1000. no 220volt so I guess its EVGA 1600watt for $320 another costs to add on. And selling off that other equipment drops the electricity used by so much for me. insane. ugh can't believe I missed this! where are more! lol
Hope these don't fry like usual first batches.
I wished there was a 1600w 120v server PSU instead of having to spend $320 on the EVGA. I know how you feel. I'd love to run on IBMs 2800s, but I simply don't have the electrical infrastructure to make it work. I don't have the luxury of starting from scratch and ROI is tough enough without electrical modifications (and what would I do with a ton of 240V when I'm done mining). That said, ATX PSUs are far too expensive to be a long term solution also. What I did was grab a few 900W (on 115v) HP-DPS1200s and hard wired them for load sharing. That effectively gives you an 1,800W server PSU for about $70. Add the cost of cables and you're still way ahead when compared to EVGA. Past 750W I don't think it makes sense to buy ATX. I wish someone would push out a single, or even double, blade version of the high efficiency chips for home mining. Check eBay. Just bought the EVGA SuperNova 1300, new for $149.00 plus shipping.

This happened to me. I paid within 7 minutes of my order. It showed expired for about 3 hours. During that time I flamed them with emails and support tickets. They did not respond to any of those, but I did get a "Paid" email confirmation about 6 hours later. 21:00 GMT.

We will need to see a btc price above $800 to really have this make any kind of sense. Here is hoping the happens.

Incredibly speculative. But what a miner. Here goes nothing. Ordering one and selling selling 4 S7's to partially make up for it.

Do we have an experienced group buy manager interested in contacting them? If the price is under $2000, we should be able to get 20+ units worth of interest.
Do you want to invest money from 20+ into 2 pics made in Photoshop? I don't think they feel obligated at this point to prove to us they have anything. They are looking for big fish. And it's not like this is not an established company with a history. I'm not saying that's scam-proof. Just that it's not your run of the mill super shady manufacturer. The better the product, the later we will find out details. I am just suggesting we pool buying power. Then maybe we can learn more.

I am interested in starting to mine. But clearly you need some serious Hard Drives to make a real go of it. So a couple of questions: Where do find the cheapest drives? And by cheap I mean in terms of $/TB. I have found a few 8TB drives on eBay. Cheapest I can find is about $30/TB. Any better alternatives? Are there any tricks to adding and mining the most drives possible on one mobo? I mean assuming power is not a problem.
I am using the standard windows client (BURST_Wallet_GUI_Setup_0.2.5.exe) right now to plot a 3TB drive in total. I have it on a 2 core CPU and after about 6 hours I'm at 2% and averaging about 730 noonces/minute. This is an older cpu that I used for gpu mining years ago, but the only spare I have. I suppose if I get serious I'll need to find a faster one. Is there a better way to do it? Different software? I suppose I can plot a drive on a faster pc then move it to the mining mobo. Is that right?
Thanks in advance.

Long time BTC miner and former LTC miner back in the day. Checking this out now. Have a 3TB drive sitting around. Downloading the BURST_Wallet_GUI_Setup_0.2.5.exe file now. Anything I should know starting out? I mean aside from all the instructions etc.
The GUI wallet is very simple to use, only thing I would say is when you go to mine, make sure you set your reward recipient, that's the first step, you assign your wallet to mine to the pool of your choosing, THEN start mining. The easiest way to do this, would be to use the web wallet... https://wallet.burst-team.us/rewardassignment.html - This way you don't have to wait for the chain to sync on your local machine. ALSO... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1323657Is the NEW BURST OP, that has more up to date information on the coin, and will be where all further announcements, including the new Roadmap, websites, and much more coming soon, and the release of BURST 2.0 with PoC2 algo, using even less power than it does now. Welcome to BURST feel free to let us know if you need anything -crowetic BURST team leader / infrastructure Outstanding. I figure with the upcoming halving I need to get back into altcoins. And I really like the idea of HDD mining vs. temperamental gpus. Thanks for the advice.

I've been mining for years. Thought is was about time I posted a little something. Here's my current rig. 6 - S7's overclocked total avg. 30.40 Ths Total system pulls 62.3 amps Rig dumps exhaust into my forced air return duct. Currently in my area I have my power flat rate power for the next 1 1/2 years. Total electric for the entire house is $450 a month. Because of the flat rate, I can run the miners and the A/C at the same time and during the winter they keep my house around 70 deg. What settings do you have on your overclocked S7's?

I sincerely wish Bitcoins were truly fungible but clearly they aren't (yet). The growing toolset of taint analysis makes this obvious. Mixing services help a ton but are at risk. If Bitcoin is fungible then how do we know which are in Satoshi's stash? No, fungibility is an illusion for now.
u may know your maths but here is some fundementals of economy intrinsic. that is a buzz word for the commodities market (meat, wheat, oil gold).. not the asset/currency market. though gold is both an asset and commodity. the buzzword intrinsic should be only used in the context of commodity. EG its the golds intrinsic commodity attributes that makes it a good asset.. but never its intrinsic asset value that makes it a good commodity fungibility: has nothing to do with knowing who owns what.. eg donald trumps bank notes in his safety deposit box are no different then bill gates's, eg a $10 in the cash register at starbucks has no different value then a $10 in mcdonalds.. fungibility is not about knowing who owns it or where it currently sits. even a drug dealers $12,000 illicit stash that they cross the border with, is still the same as the $12,000 value that eventually is handed out to officers for christmas bonus/retirement funds fungibility is about messing with/ treating one as good and one as bad.. EG accept this coin because X destroy that coin because Y. moving funds due to hacks/thefts/bad management/mistakes/government seizure. does not affect fungibility.. because eventually they are put back into circulation. but destroying funds out of circulation without replacing an equal amount. is bad 50btc in satoshi's addresses has no fungible difference to 50btc in coinbase. or 50btc in my address... 50btc is 50btc... and thats how it should remain. +1 Yeppers.

Yes - not sure why it took so long to accept shares. But it seems to have leveled off. I have a small USB fan on it too.
So, I think it looks good and no further action is required If you want, you can try to overclock it with confidence. MINER -> R1 MINER Configuration -> Advanced settingsChange: -> frequency Voltage: can you kept untouched, changes does not make any difference... On stock it´s possible to run it stable in most cases up to 150/175MHz (with a little air fan) Little hint: you can choose yourself the right clockspeed at the antrun site for your R1 antrun.de -> scroll down -> Change your frequency: -> insert "BTC_Worker", choose frequency and hit Update andY Thanks Andy. Very helpful. Cranked it up to 150MHz and we'll see what it does.

Frequency is 100M Voltage is 0725
What do you suggest?
Hmm thats okay, but I see your R1 seems to running now in the right way... Antrun shows now a hashrate of: 6.36 GH/s, -> http://www.antrun.de/ Thats okay for a clockrate of about 100MHz... I would suggest, to be patient for a moment and lets observe it... andY Yes - not sure why it took so long to accept shares. But it seems to have leveled off. I have a small USB fan on it too.

OK - got the FW installed and it changed a lot of settings. It's certainly hashing faster. But still not getting any shares accepted. Can you see anything wrong? http://imgur.com/WZCpt5bOk, seems, you got the first success , I see now your Antrouter hashing @ antrun: -> http://www.antrun.de/But it works very slowly, there seems to be another issue too.... Can you post a screenshot from: MINER -> R1 MINER Configuration -> Advanced settingsandY Frequency is 100M Voltage is 0725 What do you suggest?

Did you flash the Firmware patch from the first post of this thread? Also check the correct pool adress under tab "R1 Miner configuration" solo.ckpool.org:3333 - should be the right one for you
Ahh, I think thats it !! @swimmer63:did you flashed the proper custom FW before? It´s neccessary to join antrun with your R1 ! You´ll find the FW and all instructions here: -> Custom FW and instructionsandY Did not. Missed that. Working on it now. May come back with more questions. Not a tech guy. Ahh, no prob ! But don´t worry about, it´s very easy . And if any questions feel free to ask... andY OK - got the FW installed and it changed a lot of settings. It's certainly hashing faster.
