1041  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [GUIDE] BitFury Miner Support/Tuning on: December 08, 2013, 07:43:28 PM
I've heatsinked the new unmodded h-cards i have, directed fans (3x 120 mm) at them but they still get so hot they seem on the verge of burning up.
What else can i try?
For the time being, how should i set the trimpot on these cards to get ~25gh/s? (currently at 33+ gh/s)

Thank you.

Did you heatsink the chip or the back.  I put it on the back.  The heatsinks are warm, but not hot.  I gained about 5% for the cards I did.  I think I'll do the rest, though I expected a better result.
1042  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: December 08, 2013, 02:17:52 AM
You would be better off buying Cubes.  They are immediately available.
1043  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: December 08, 2013, 02:09:41 AM
Price is borderline insulting.

EDIT: So when you said breakeven in 2 months you meant only if difficulty stays where it is for 60 days.
In other words no one else in the world adds any additional hashing power to the network.
Buyer beware.  Based on current difficulty increases best case is you lose $350 in the first year.
1044  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: December 07, 2013, 07:41:59 PM
i have had it for 4-5 days and have started it up at least 6 times.  Every time it takes 20 minutes.
Should I re-download?

Are you closing Armory "properly"?  It will rescan every time there's an unclean shutdown, to avoid any SNAFU-problems associated with close-but-not-actually-correct wallet histories.  If you shutdown Armory using "File"->"Quit Armory" or use the (X) in the corner, it should be fine.  If you're rebooting without closing Armory first, or you're killing it through the task manager, you'll be rescanning every time.

In 0.91-beta I'll experiment with removing clean-shutdown criteria.  I know it's annoying, but I determined the risk of people with seemingly-correct histories that aren't actually correct could cause serious problems (invisible coins, lost coins and/or inability to send).

That's probably it.  I close my PC but don't turn it off when I'm in transit.  Sometimes when I open it back up Armory will crash.  Sometimes not.  I bet that's the reason.  Thanks!

I'm thinking they have enough customers and don't need to pay attention to buyers on this forum.  The only other options are scam and total incompetence.

So I downloaded the .91 beta.  But it's back to taking forever to start up.  Literally 20 minutes.
Is it suppose to do that.  I thought the last version fixed that.
1048  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining Technology (AMT) on: December 07, 2013, 05:11:07 PM
By the way to all, I've researched the hell out of these guys and even though this posting here on BCT is a marketing trainwreck it does sooooo much in the area of trust. I was skeptical before reading everything here.

Coming from a 2 post newbie who registered yesterday and is not sharing any of the evidence of his research, I hope you will understand this is not going to increase anyone's confidence

I don't think he is even allowed to post here.
1049  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining Technology (AMT) on: December 07, 2013, 12:16:24 AM
I don't know why I keep following this thread.  It's like the train wreck you just have to watch.
This is either a scam, they have all the customers they want or they are absolutely clueless of need for them to show proof of existence and dependability.  I guess I have been waiting for them to re-roll themselves out and start responding to questions and sharing more information.  But now I'm thinking it's a waste of time and I don't know how I could trust them with a dime.  I have seen better service from Asian based miner manufacturers then these homegrown boys.  I don't think they are serious about retail.  Maybe they are building their own mining operation.
1050  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL board project COINTAMINATION - EU facility - ORDERS OPENED for Chili on: December 06, 2013, 08:19:57 PM
At this point we could get them done a lot quicker in the US.
1051  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official ASICMINER Hardware Information on: December 06, 2013, 08:12:34 PM
Bump.

One of the six cubes I purchased is in need of an RMA as it is non functional and collecting dust.

What are the procedures to submit a formal RMA request ?

Thank you kindly.

Reseller first, then there is an email address for customer support at Asicminer.  I have used it twice and received new equipment within a week no questions asked.  But I'm guessing Cube supply is still restrained as they gear up.

EDIT: email is on OP: asicminer.help@gmail.com

Sorry. I'm confused. You found a new assembly house. But they are not in operation until the end of next week?

Are we setting some kind of share record with this block?
1054  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL board project COINTAMINATION - EU facility - ORDERS OPENED for Chili on: December 05, 2013, 10:32:37 PM
Interesting thing is that in this time I made a Avalon gen2 replacement board for gen1 without a problem... It looks to be really BFL thing...

I am making 100 Nano Furies in less than a month.  We have been waiting for these things for what a month delayed now.  WTF.

Music to my ears SSB.

Random Asicminer question here.
At what point does a proxy program get overloaded.
I currently have 20 blades and 2 Cubes (soon to be 3) running off the same computer.  It seems to handle it well but the lines of text fly by at warp speed.
Wondering if I need to point some of the hardware to another computer and take the pressure off.
1057  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] Group Buy #23/24 AsicMiner Blade and Cube Miners, and USB Hubs on: December 05, 2013, 06:22:28 PM
Ordered 3 Cubes SSB.  PM's sent.

I am completely new to this thread.  I have not read all the pages but are these still available for ordering?
If so where??
1059  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Cube Setup on: December 04, 2013, 03:45:02 PM
I just had the 30 amp fuse blow on my Cube.

Faulty fuse, faulty cube, or does the fuse just need to be higher rated than 30A for high clock setting?
I would bet first on faulty fuse.  I have run mine overclocked for 3 days with no issues.  Plus, putting a higher fuse in could damage the miner.
