After uninstalling and reinstalling, and using another computer I agree.  It's dead.
Thanks guys.

So I run a number of these boards and have almost zero problems.
But yesterday I see one stopped hashing.  The Corsair 100i logo which is usually white was flashing red.  CGminer showed errors consistent with a temperature issue.  I can't find much online about this.  Anyone in the know??
Seems odd to have a temp issue just all of a sudden.
I am going to take the cooler off, redo the paste and reinstall.  But I wanted to see if anyone know what's up.

Going to place an order and see what it's all about.

Boycotting Bitmain right now.  9/20 might as well be next year.  Going to try this new AM gear shipping before the end of the month.

I'm dirty blonde if you want to call it that....
As a matter of practical formality, the 4Chan Protocol dictates that you produce a photo of yourself, with a shoe on your head, with todays time and date and your forum name written on a piece of paper.

For extra bonus difficulty, it is not unreasonable to ask for you to hold a tooth-brush in your left hand.

Related: I have 5 S3's collecting dust because the data center deal fell through on a commercial insurance-related issue, and I have no more space left in my house as I'm drawing ~8kW for mining already. *grumbles* Guess I'll have to decommission either some A1's or BitFury gear. Haven't decided yet. *grumbles* /r/firstworldproblems

Ouch - you might want to check around at other dc's.  I am in two dc's now on month to month and neither of them actually asked to see insurance, even though it is in the agreement (and I have it).
567  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] ASICMiner Tube Group Buy #1 on: August 13, 2014, 07:06:34 PM
I'm in for two.  Will send btc in the next day or so.

Would love to see a new board.  But realistically it probably needs to be sub $0.80/Gh/s.  Especially if it will be a month or so before it's ready.

is this good PSU : Corsair RM850 good to power 2 non-oc S3 ?

Not a problem.
570  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 12, 2014, 03:05:22 AM
Bitmain was better, I am not sure whats happening, they used to sell from stock and every few days they would lower the price to compensate for the increased difficulty, hopefully they did not find a map from Sam where he shows them the path, at the last days of the S1 it was selling for $180 dollars ( in btc), and I am sure the S3 only costs a little bit more to produce that the S1.

KNC was good in 2013, and now they are terrible.
BFL was never good.
Avalon was only good in the first 2 batches, and then collapsed.
Spondoolies Huh?

I chat all day on a lot of trollboxes/forums.  You said it perfectly, I am not sure whats happening.

When people would ask if there was any way to have a chance at making money I would automatically say bitmain and rattle off your reasons above.  ( taking each individuals location and electric costs into consideration ).   Now I say Bitmain is the best, but buying an s3 now at .66 you are mining in most cases just to have a chance at not loosing a lot.  Forget ANY possible chance at ROI.

This next difficulty change is, atm, a game changer for anyone purchasing today at current .66 price.  ( free electricity?  Well then go for it. )

A 40% diff increase is not out of the question...

Given the depth of commercial mines today, a 40% increase in one adjustment is highly improbable.
I am guessing the past few mild increases have more to do with hobbyists turning off their miners and no new mega deployments coming online.  But it's nearly impossible to predict with any certainty what is happening as the total size of the network is now so big.  It's all guesswork.
571  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive XBTec Pacific 1250 Setup [HD] on: August 09, 2014, 05:52:27 PM
Anxious to see some screen shots of performance Dogie.  Solid instructions as always.  I like your consistency in an erratic industry.

I did not mean to make that rhyme.

Apparently the 1250 is for real.  Here is Dogie's review:

I have 8 Antminer S3 coupons.

Value:= 0.075

Looking  0.06 for each coupon.

Not worth the time for that kind of margin.  It's a coupon not a gold coin.

Lol, but you could save a whopping $8 on your next S3 purchase.   Grin

Yeah, if $8 off is going to make a difference for you, you have no business buying these rainbow machines.

575  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: XBTec bitcoin miner Pacific V2 on: August 07, 2014, 05:52:11 PM
I don't doubt they have a miner designed.  I have seen some farm pictures posted of what is likely their V1 model.
I am guessing V2 is generally same design and will likely work.  BUT....
--Will it hash at the advertised rate? - no idea until they get it made
--Can they be trusted to deliver? - Newer company, no track record, who knows.

Smart money waits until 8/31.  Someone will order this and we'll see what they report (From the new batch, I'm sure Dogie's will works fine).
576  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 06, 2014, 02:16:11 AM
I am very disappointed. I will never buy from them!

That really stinks! Not really bitmains fault though...

Call UPS.  My batch 5 order was doing this for 3 days and I called UPS this morning.  It's in Anchorage now and will be delivered tomorrow.

After i set up a stable ip in my S3 now i canīt see the blades in mining status and the device is mining at 0.00GH/s.

How should i fix this?

Thanks.

Check to make sure your pools are set up correctly.
You may have to unplug the miner and restart it.  Rebooting does always reset everything properly.
Suggest you use DNS of 8.8.8.8

Thank you for ur reply.

I am trying to isolate the problem with help of you members. And once that both machines have similar problems which i find unusual it could be a router problem or internet problem. I am asking this because besides this 2 machines i have 3 previous Antminers S3 hashing normally at good rate and i wounder if i have enough internet or router for more machines.
The problem isnt either Internet or Router, i am more sure now that's about Antminer control border or its ethernet port.

Maybe reset to factory default and try again.
578  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [PREORDER] DPS-2000BB 2000W Server PSU Interface Board on: August 06, 2014, 12:22:30 AM
Yes, we're still taking orders. We're still catching up to the preorders so we'd still be on "backorder" with approximately a one-week shipping delay, but we're still adding orders to the queue.

I don't have any PSUs. Minersource seems to have a good stock of them; I had someone within driving distance contact me about a pallet of 'em but they're holding out for approximately retail price and not really wanting to negotiate.
Thanks. Looks like you have to have a 200-240v circuit. That rules me out.
579  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [PREORDER] DPS-2000BB 2000W Server PSU Interface Board on: August 05, 2014, 10:10:13 PM
A couple questions:
Are you still taking orders for boards and cables?
Do you have the PSU's or do we get those separately?
