301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer s5 convert firmware into ethereum miner on: May 06, 2016, 07:02:31 AM
How the hell do you have over 2000 posts, yet ask such a stupid question?

302  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: May 04, 2016, 02:28:17 AM
firmware wise, please update when you have to (need to), other wise, let it be.  Leave Ants Alone if it is working for you!

Glad to see you posting again. Can you handle returns on defective S7 hash boards in Colorado, or do they need to be sent to China? (1X defective B8, 2X defective B1)
303  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE servers 176 blocks solved! on: April 30, 2016, 02:47:55 PM
Trying to hit a cakeday block for the next 24h! Using about 50TH of my own rigs.

304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] First Ethereum ASIC Miners, by LightMiner Ltd on: April 29, 2016, 12:37:50 PM
Innosilicon made the chips (A1 & A2) and their partners (LKETC being the biggest I think) assembled the miners and sold them.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] First Ethereum ASIC Miners, by LightMiner Ltd on: April 28, 2016, 04:59:32 PM
You'd have to be a fucking retard to believe this scammer. The "Z02"... is an LKETC 60MH/s A2 scrypt miner. I have one sitting in my garage.

There will never be an ASIC for ETH. POW period ends too quickly to bother.
306  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB][To Canada] GPUs, H81 BTC Pro Mobo, RAM, CPU, kits, USB Risers, etc. on: April 25, 2016, 02:21:10 PM
I've got both asrock and biostar mining motherboards available with cpus.

I'd be interested in prices and which mobo/cpu for the Asrock line. Nothing against the Biostar, but i did not research those. And also shipping from where.

The Biostar is a bit nicer, look it up: Biostar H81S2

I think $150 per mobo + CPU + heatsink would be a good price? Ships from Montreal area.

LOL @ the crest, love it! GLWS.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: solo mining vs pool mining on: April 25, 2016, 04:56:31 AM
100mh and up, solo. Just need to be patient, but you'll always come out ahead of pool mining.
309  Other / Off-topic / Re: [POLL] Have Aliens Visited Earth ? on: April 23, 2016, 02:32:34 PM
Where's the "We don't fucking know so stop making bullshit assumptions and go do some real science" option? By the way, pointing at a blurry image of a land mass and claiming it looks like a face to try and declare that aliens exist is like when religious people look at some toasted cheese, see that it vaguely resembles a face and declare that it is Jesus.

That's just not scientific evidence you damn shit posters.

This.

Has a human ever seen an Alien? No.

Has an advanced Alien race ever visited the planet we call Earth in it's 4.5 billion year existence? It's possible.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v3.2 on: April 23, 2016, 01:54:02 PM
@Claymore
As soon as you implement solo mining support I will transfer my miningfarm over to your miner.

Same. Any ETA, Claymore?
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Coin exchange ethereum to BTC? on: April 23, 2016, 01:19:31 AM
I see that I should sell my Ethereum to stable BTC until the price goes back up from what I been reading.  Than purchase Ethereum but who is a good Exchange to use?

Yes, that's right. Sell low, buy high.

Claymore, do you have an ETA on the solo version?
313  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Dual-purpose DPS800/DPS1200 breakout board on: April 21, 2016, 12:20:03 PM
Hey, I didn't say all amateur electricians were jackasses, just some are bivocational. I've always done my own electrical, including all the 3-phase wiring for my 100KW hosting setup, and all I got is six years of engineering university and growing up the son of a building trades instructor. What I said was, sometimes things are wired up wrong and/or dangerously by jackasses resulting in the case no longer being grounded. Like whoever wired up the dryer plug in that house thought it was a great idea to provide 120V for a 240V dryer and put the other 120V leg on the chassis of the machine sitting right next to a big box full of water. It's almost like they were trying to kill someone. Needless to say, in the first week after I moved into that house I spent a day redoing about half the wiring in the basement.

PSU connectors are supposed to arrive today, which means these boards will start going out the door pretty soon.

Holy shit. Talk about being retarded! Surely the dryer didn't work with only 120v? Didn't the idiot realize something was wrong? Damn.

my server hp 1200 is really quiet.

some how it is so quiet i find it amazing.

I came up with a perfect mount solution.

let  me photo it.

What's the point? You could just put the PSU directly on the wooden surface and not worry about anything.

Any more shots of the test setup?

Did you wife just ask you that, or are you talking to yourself?  Tongue
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v3.0 on: April 20, 2016, 04:58:23 AM
Tested 3.0, looking good. Increase on 7950/7970/280x/290/290x/390x for me.

Back to ethminer, however; looking forward to the solo version of this miner.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What ATI and Nvidia thinking about mining? on: April 20, 2016, 04:48:32 AM
They could care less...to put things in perspective...the total hashrate of Ethereum is produced by less than 100 thousand GPUs. AMD and Nvidia combined sell millions of GPUs a year. They are just happy this is clearing a small part of their inventory before the next gen GPUs this summer Wink

Yep.

Though, during the mining craze of late 2013 AMD used mining (Casino coin I think?) as a bullet point on some of their promotional media.

Edit: Found it

318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Affordable motherboard for GPU mining? on: April 19, 2016, 01:40:49 AM
If anyone needs mobos, hit me up. I have 5 or 6 bitcoin motherboards with intel CPUs from both asrock and biostar. All have 6x PCI-e.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v2.0 on: April 19, 2016, 01:38:20 AM
Why not release a solo ver if 2.0 working well ? Problems with devfee ? Problems with accepted blocks ? I don't get it. Solo is a real decentralization! Don't feed a Troll Pool, feed the dev  Cheesy

I don't want to work with proxies, so the miner will work with ETH client directly, it will take some time to implement it. I will do it soon, but not today Smiley

I don't think any serious solo miner is going to mine without a proxy. I've got 2GH spread across 14 rigs, I need the detailed statistics, simplification,  and features that EtherProxy by Sammy007 provides. Why wouldn't you want to support that? Would it prevent your miner from mining for the dev fee? Without the proxy support, I'm pretty sure I won't be alone in not using your miner to solo, unfortunately.

It looks exactly like the Antminer S4 PSU

Except that it doesn't. At all.  Tongue
