the new theme looks like fingerpainting and takes up too much screen real estate. is it really necessary not to allow the window to be resized any smaller or use such giant fonts when there is no obvious way to user-control the font size.
Hi, the window can be resized, so I'm unsure what you're talking about. The fonts also have not been changed from the previous version and are the same size. The only thing that changed from the previous version of the wallet is the icons and colors.

Projects which have own blockchain always deserve atention from community side and PPCoin is not exception. Long term holding is always good idea. Will see, what PPC show in 2020 or later.

Seems like this coin has turned into complete bullshit
no development no market activity no community DOA
sad to see an original go out this way.
Founder has abandoned it for the next short lived (rebrand) P&D scam.

Founder has abandoned it for the next short lived (rebrand) P&D scam.
Development restarted over two years ago with the creation of the Peercoin Foundation which greatly helps the development of Peercoin. Since then, Peercoin has released v0.6, v0.7, as well as continuing work on v0.8 which brings Peercoin up-to-date with all the latest Bitcoin developments. All of this has been quietly and intensely worked on largely by community volunteers, and in addition, the Foundation has hired one permanent developer. All of this without much promotion or marketing which is why many make the same assumptions you have. Other developments have included PeerAssets (our asset layer solution), Perpera, and an updated and new website. In terms of community, Peercoin has maintained its forums (talk.peercoin.net) for six years and that is where it remains most active. regardless of the bear market reducing most community's activities to zero. You can read about developments on the updates section of the forum. If you want a more comprehensive background, a community member recently updated his history book which can be found here: https://talk.peercoin.net/t/peercoin-history-book-2012-2019/8980/93 (various versions). With so many projects in the space and with the bear market, it can be difficult to keep up with all the developments of so many projects, so I recommend checking the forums, the GitHub, and at minimum following the Twitter. Our Discord and Telegram are both active and linked and you are encouraged to come say hi. Otherwise, we will continue to work quietly in preparation for things to come.

This is also false. Sunny specifically said that he still supports Peercoin in the announcement of his other project. Peercoin is no longer reliant on Sunny as the core developer, however he remains an active advisor to the team and helps with code review from time to time, far from abandoning the project.

Looks like this was never posted here last week, so just in case you guys didn’t see it... https://talk.peercoin.net/t/peercoin-was-featured-in-the-latest-episode-of-the-flash/9227Just wanted to let you guys know that we were made aware that Peercoin was mentioned in season 5, episode 18 of The Flash on CW. ContextThe episode is set in the year 2049. The character in the image below is running from a bad guy and is hiding. She’s speaking to someone over a comm device that is trying to help her escape. He asks her what is around her and she looks around and names a few places, including Peercoin Bank. I just watched the episode to confirm. So first use of PPC on HBO’s Silicon Valley. And now Peercoin Bank in the year 2049 on The Flash. I think they’re trying to tell us something.

If it will even survive that long... I have seen many project die a slow and agonising death over the last two years..

We've completed the port of Bit to Peercoin as a new library called Pity. Bit is a fully function and easy-to-use python library for all things Bitcoin. You can find the thread here: https://talk.peercoin.net/t/pity/9273You can find extensive documentation here: https://ofek.github.io/bit/We look forward to seeing what people build on here in the future!
