I added Peercoin to the Cheddur app ( https://www.cheddur.com/) given the details I could find on the website. This will allow more people to learn about Peercoin and join. Can others from the community who are more knowledgeable please review the profile and submit edits for the remaining missing information? We can also link wallets, exchanges, and other services to Peercoin so that other users can easily get started! https://i.imgur.com/D5Z6QVv.pnghttps://i.imgur.com/lvNAptO.png

I believe this was brought up before, but I'm double checking for you. Let me ask the devs.

Yes, this was known about already. They said it's fine and the tag annotation will be fixed properly with a post release, 0.6.1 later.

Hi. I’m starting a list of the oldest cryptos. For now I’m maintaining the list on a bitcointalk thread but will eventually host a website. Hoping to add value to old coins by making the age rankings easy to look up. Offering $20 in crypto bounty for additions/corrections. I want it to be accurate, but I’m sure I’ve made mistakes so could use your help please. Thread with the list and details is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2019145.msg20120985#msg20120985

Congratulations from me, too! I have still not downloaded the new version, but plan to do it soon. Finally it also seems that the price is also bottoming out ... at least the USD/fiat price. It's obvious that the Bitcoin bullrun is currently dominating the events, but if the new version works as expected and checkpoints can be turned off securely, then likelihood is high that PPC can return into the top 100 and much higher .

Alright, the problem that some people have been experiencing has been identified. If your wallet is unencrypted then it mints block automatically. The problem some people were having is that they had an unencrypted wallet and it was trying to mint blocks before the blockchain was fully synced. Peerchemist says that they'll be working on a fix... In next point release (0.6.1) we'll fix this problem, basically we'll disable minting while wallet is syncing. That's what causing this problem.

It seems as if it was lost on everyone that Sunny just spoke mandarin for the first time. At least nobody has pointed it out yet.

how can I disable minting?
I have
Minting should be disabled by default if your wallet is encrypted and you have done nothing to unlock it. If your wallet is unencrypted and contains coins in it, then minting should be activated by default. If that is the case, all you need to do is create a good password and encrypt your wallet, which will disable minting until you unlock it. Once the full blockchain has been downloaded though, then it shouldn't matter anymore and you can click "unlock wallet for minting only" to activate minting again.

v0.6 is the first release of #Peercoin $PPC that gives users the ability to completely opt-out of centralized checkpointing!
