Will the current wallet still work after segwit activates or do we need to upgrade?Obviously the current wallet will not be able to use segwit but will it work for transactions etc?

Once SegWit goes live old clients will no longer be able to create blocks.It is set to only accept version bits only blocks past activation.Old clients can be used for transactions but cannot be used for staking.


You can have 2 clients.Old one for transactions only and new one for staking and segwit transactions.

first of all, great job guys, steady and slow wins the race!   also i had mentioned a while back that my wallet stopped giving me rewards, it used to do a little bit every two days, but now its been since November and nothing, is there something i can do or do i keep waiting?  my "weight on the network" seems to be going up thought. but again no rewards. i'm holding for a long time bc i trust the coin and the development team.. lets keep it up!

Have you spent from or sent to the wallet because sometimes that causes all the coins to go into spendable mode but if network weight is going up then at least your stake when it comes will be larger than a few more regular ones I guess.I had 2 small stakes after about a month and they came only a few blocks apart.

Max supply set for 1 million.Not sure why they haven't shown this.They have all the information.

Already 40 hours into the 0.13 client with first pass at the Qt GUI to add staking.Moved the Qt code across not hit compile yet.This should be the last client worked on in order to be ready to signal for segwit.No eta as of yet but once all done and well tested it can be pushed to public repo.

No exact date but due to the fact we are working on 0.13 and 0.13 being finished is all we need to start signalling for segwit I would say we are getting close to that point now.A lot of testing/debugging has to happen before it is pushed to the public repo though.Better safe than sorry.
