First of all you need to improve your english.
From what I understand, you're asking about gambling.
Gambling will not make your life better, unless you're extremely lucky.
In most cases you'll lose money like did I.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Gambling is not a way to be rich! If you are lucky, you win a few times. But you are addicted to it and eventually you will lose everything! Keep in mind that gambling business is the most profitable one and always have house edge! No one is possible to compete with them!

So what the difference between a addicted gambler with a experienced gambler? Both of them playing the gambling for long time, and imo they are same in all of the way. If someone won in gambling, so they will gamble again until be addicted. If they always do that everytime, they will be an experienced. The relations of winning, addicted, and experience.

In these kinds of threads, a lot of people speaking total nonsense from the high horse. (for no reason at all)

And you are definately one of these people.

I mean stuff like "If someone won in gambling, so they will gamble again until be addicted" is just boardeline retarded.

If you want to blame my grammars, then I'm sorry for not being an English native person and I'm sorry because you couldn't understand what I said. Thanks.

Addicted gambler just play over and over again they didnt know time to stop and collect their winning, addicted gambler will continue to play without thinking about their lost possibility they just thinking about win win win and win until the time bring around that " i should've stopped playing shit! "

And an experience gambler is addicted gambler continuance, they have passed addicted gambler phase.
They have learned from the past experience as addicted gambler and they play like pro,  they know when the right time to stop and collect their winning because they are experienced.

So what can addicted gambler do to get into experienced gambler phase since they always play it and can't learned from bad experience in gambling? It's difference if we play it just for fun, with little cash and low risky.

You need to tell yourself never to gamble more than you can afford to lose, and seek help once you have the addiction problem.
For me, I have had a lot of fun with gambling and have only lost at most a few hundreds in the past year.

gambling can wreck and can fix your life for sure
for me I don't take it seriously when I play -EV games like dice , roulette , slots ... etc
in these games I just play for the fun part
but yes gambling for sure can fix your life when you play +EV games like poker
I take poker seriously cause it's beatable and there are many situations that could make you for example X2 of your bet when you are 80% ahead
and I make some money playing poker , but in other games usually broke  Grin
Yeah sometimes gamble fix your life but mostly it fix Only for a few moments, in the end mostly wreck your life because the addicting gamble make you want to win more and more.
As with the poker, poker can fix your life forever as long as you have a good skill, because poker is a strategic gamble.
Really?  Gambling isn't that for me.  Gambling just adds a little fun to your life (the adrenaline).  I play for fun and honestly, I go in with the mindset that I'm going to lose.  Just gamble what you CAN afford to lose. Roll Eyes
Thats what i did! Strangely when we play with mindset that we are going to lose, we always win some.
And when we play with mindset we have to win, we always lose and feel bad.
Yup.  What kills you is the afterthoughts, when you realize that the money could have been used towards so many better things.  I hate that feeling and that's the main reason why I gamble for fun now ONLY.  Heck, I go into casinos with the mindset that I will lose all my money Tongue

If you want to blame my grammars, then I'm sorry for not being an English native person and I'm sorry because you couldn't understand what I said. Thanks.

Where did you get the idea that i was talking about your grammar in the first place? (Or could not understand what you are saying for that matter).

My point is that you are trying to come off as someone who knows what he is talking about, when you clearly do not.

And i did bold this sentense -

Quote
"If someone won in gambling, so they will gamble again until be addicted"

because its wrong and pretty far off from the reality.

Point is - a lot of people (probably you included) somehow think that losing x amount of cash on dice or whatever gives them the expertise to talk about gambling in general.

It does not. Its laughable.

Gambling can be very dangerous but there are some tips to earn some money and don't lose all:
1) Put a weekly budget (0.2 BTC for example). Stop gambling when you reach it
2) Play a lot of money in few events. It's one of the most important rules of gambling. For example in sports, play just 1 on 2 events that let you double your money. In forex play only one market per time    (only oil for example)
3) Write all your bets on a diary and at the end of every months see if you have earned or not (do a percentage of earning/losing for a better experience)
4) Gambling will help you in life but IT CANNOT REPLACE a work. So bet just for fun.

OP, these are the main rules of gambling.

lol, because my friends told me that my english is terrible, so I think it's the problem
I said that because I experience it, and you are talking like you lose more cash than me. Yeah, I just gave my opinion from what I did in gambling, and I hope you as a gambling expert here can teach me about what the meaning of gambling is.

Yes, there were some "fun" on gambling.
Because of that "fun" I'm become too greedy to bet more and more. At the end of the line, I'm getting stuck into deep hole

I don't care who you are if you stay in long enough you will lose much more than you have ever won.

Simple physologic defense mechanism to avoid admitting that you just was not good enough, and some people are just better at certain things.

Just because you failed it does not mean that everyone else will.

From personal experience I don't consider sports betting being much of a gamble just like few of the people  consider poker as a game of skill and not much of a gamble. Sports betting is a gamble mostly if you are just betting randomly based on the odds and are not doing any research into the games. Otherwise it can be very profitable if you do a proper bankroll management and put some time and effort before betting.

but given enough time the casinos always have the advantage or they would not be in business.

Depends what type of the "casinos" you are talking about. If you mean roulette and dice - sure, they will have a guaranteed edge in the longterm. The only thing they need to worry about is having large enough bankroll to survive the short term variance and a good enough security to avoid hacks.

Poker rooms - those are taking rake, they do not care if you are winner or a loser. They are just arranging the game between players and take their cut.

Sport books - those are actually go out of business a lot, often running away with people's funds because they could not take the losses.

convincing yourself that you are better than the next guy at gambling and you won't lose is also a defense mechanism.

Thats true, but its not what i am doing. I am simply aware of my edge and my expected return over the long run. I am fully aware of the variance and the swings, and i am well prepared for them. I also know how to work on my game and how many hours of that work to put weekly, to make sure that i will continue keeping that edge.

how to be an experienced gambler its not our discussion topic here, but i can give my opinion about that.
the real experienced gambler will never looks losing they can take advantage from gambling, even they can make gambling for scratch a living.
actually an "experienced gambler" can't be measured, only people around who can assess.
just small tips, dont play it for fun because that is where addiction come from.

i think gambling addiction and especially online will wreck your life if you are addicted to it. but gamblings like poker for example can make you good profit if you are good at it and have enough experience and mentality to win.
although you can make profit from gambling but i don't think you can become a billionaire from gambling .

p.s. you should make a poll.

I would think an addicted gambler will do anything to keep going, win or lose, and an experienced gambler, say, one who gambles for at least a substantial portion of their income, knows when they can keep going, and knows when they should stop. everything said on the topic is redundant, but it is so because these points are all valid, more or less.

theres nothing here. message me if you want to put something here.

I've been gambling off and on for over 17 years and I can say that I still enjoy it so it definitely has not wrecked my life.  For me, it's good for entertainment but of course it's always nicer to win.  I would just recommend that anyone interested should just be careful and only play with what they can afford to lose.  From there, it's just an educational process of trying out various strategies.

But I have to say about laws against gambling... they are just stupid.  Gambling was outlawed in the days when gun slingers were killing each other for cheating.  Those days are long gone and the only protection needed for gamblers is regulation to enforce provably fair games.  Gambling should not be illegal anywhere at all.

moderation is key I guess, but many people have issues with self-control and can never stop; just a passing thought but maybe gambling is illegal in places and has restrictions in places it isnt so that all the money doesnt end up in the hands of the casinos, if that were to happen the economy would halt as the people would have no money to spend. just a thought though.

I disagree that the reason for restricting gambling is the fear of casinos.  I really think that most laws that forbid gambling are relics of the 19th century.  Regardless of where the laws come from or why the laws exist, it is my simple opinion that such laws are against the freedom of humanity.  Laws that oppress shouldn't be laws in the first place.  But to your concern of Casinos becoming too powerful, that is indeed an important concern and that's why it should be regulated.  I'm also not against certain areas making their own laws.  For example, religious states should be able to govern how they please.  I wouldn't want to live in a religious state but even in the US it seems unavoidable despite so called "separation of church and state".
