Im not sure if that is the only problem but rather people thinking that they can actually get rich by gambling, if everyone knew you actually CAN'T profit in the long term im pretty sure more than 70% of the people that gamble today wouldnt gamble.

Im not so sure if that would apply on gambling, at least not on dice, the number of people that lose is probably around 90% or more because you are not against anyone but the house, unlike trading where other people is involved.

Trading is definitely better than any type of gambling, it's even more fun to watch your altcoins raise, or, if you are not lucky, going down ( That's not any type of fun ).. anyways, if you are bored with your coins sitting in your wallet like me, I would recommend you trading new altcoins with just small amounts of BTC instead of gambling.

not all gambling games depend on luck , and many players here have never had a losing month
the serious problem here is that most of people are discussing gambling as dice and roulette
there are many sports bettors and many poker players here doing a living thanks to gambling
for me if I make 10 dollars daily I would live a wonderful life in my country , so playing micro stakes poker with some fishes is making my life way better

I bought USD for 60 USD in April of 2013, I had a 20X profits in April of 2014(so I thought I was a winner haha), but I was screwed by altcoin, I was broke cause of scam altcoin in August of 2014. I lost 70K USD damn, and my principal was just 3500 USD(20X gaining).

So when you have profits, don't think you win cos you are not a winner until you won't play it any more. there are always only less than 10% people earn money, it is real. I was a big winner but in the end, I lost all of them.

PS: I prefer gambling against house, cause the house edge only a little, if you trade something, the big whales have much higher edges than casinos, they have huge funds and can easily manipulate the market, but legit casinos can't manipulate the results

The first thing that you need is how to control your emotion when you are on gambling, luck is the second thing. If you can control your emotion I think you will get some winning although it is just a little bit. And one more thing dont be greedy when you are win some cash

eventually, that might turn into an addiction. if you manage to control yourself its fine, but remember to never get greedy; casinos are for-profit entities, and there is nothing that should make you believe that you will win out at a casino. cash out when youre ahead, and know when to cut your losses and quit.

its not that much different actually, in the end, addiction is a result of dependence, either psychological or physical. as drug addicts depend on their drug to "feel alive," many gambling addicts have stated that gambling makes them feel the same way; nothing else brings that rush they feel when gambling. and they dont have to be gambling all the time to be an addict, theres a differnce between constantly gambling and being addicted to gambling. of course, addicts will both want to and try to gamble all the time.
