But even people got their life wrecked because of gambling, still they doing gambling. It's epidemic. They have a mind set of getting the jackpot although the chances are very low.

Well, if people are stupid to play gambling, I'd to say two thing:

- Always table wins.
- No matter the amount of money or how much you earned, you will always but always lose more money than you earned.

The problem is not the table always win, but the greediness that always drive you when you playing. No matter how many we have won and how much we earn, if you cant drive your desire to get more, surely you will lose all.
Words of wisdom.
I have seen this first hand. Greed is a regrettable thing when you lose a lot.

People always want more and more, that´s the main flaw, it never stops.

Yeah this is true, and usually they go on to make up for lost profits.
Once you're in that cycle it's difficult to get out, I think.

p.s. i still gamble as my life is pretty much done. i bet for pennies but it gives me that rush still. i just got to stop spending food money on gambling. gambling also helps me not think of my mother every second. it's a clusterfuck that makes little sense for sure haha

Get over it. Quit internet. Tongue
There are better things to spend on than this. Get married?
im afraid of having my own family as i will never trust myself around money. i do not want more people to suffer for my mistakes. but thank you again for the advice. right now im in deep depression from my mother. maybe some day i will think more clearly and put it all back together.

Let your wife/partner/spouse(or someone else)* handle the finances? Grin

Most importantly, you are not supposed to repeat mistakes. Learn from it, mate, and get over it. Smiley

If you have good friends in RL, talk with them. It usually helps. If you don't, get some. And, srsly, quit internet completely (esp. gambling) and concentrate on RL for some period. For now, 1 month.

nice image. Is this a method to earn money or just a post to convince soneone to stop gambling? I lost the track, can u explaing what you are reffering to?

Thank you in advance.

Luckily, I have been able to control myself with losses,I have lost money, but I have stopped soon after losing a big amount for me
sometimes i can control myself if i lost but sometimes can not.
but actually i gamble just for fun, if got win im happy if lose hmmm it's sucks, but it's ok, that called gambling
well you should dont gamble then if you cant control yourself in it, because if it will keep on going eventually you might even take risks to gamble all your money you have

I have a friend who could not stop and he ended up giving the casino's his family home  Cry God knows what will happen to him now when he is that low, I can't really be around him because that wore off on me for awhile and I started gambling.

Stopped now and had some fun in the process, it has neither fixed nor wrecked my life but it could have and was going to if I never walked away when I did.

Gambling gives chance at least once to make your life and stay away from it.If you continue playing then you lose in the long run.I have lost some decent amount on block-chain based games but that can not wreck my life.It was a loss which will be recovered some lucky day.Gambling's loss only gambling recovers.

It is quite clear from the post above that the guy gambled away his family home. I assume this means it was a home purchased by his family for him or it was ancestral property. I have noticed that people who don't have to go through shit in their lives to put food on the table every month generally are the biggest gamblers! How would they know the value of stuff if they did not have to work a day in their life to get something like a home? All the blood, sweat and tears were put in by someone else and they got the home on a silver platter. This means that people born with a silver or golden spoon in their mouths are typically the biggest gamblers.

Gambling is addictive so more you have more you play more you lost.  This is.
People lost a fortune,  is a drug.  So in final gambling can only wreck your Life

well its mostly true I guess but I can't definitely agree with you about the point that it will surely wreck ones life in the end because there are people who are lucky throughout their whole life

Gambling will definitely wreck your life if you have a possibility you should avoid it at all costs as you might loose nearly every cent you have and be broke then

Gambling is meant to be fun and give you a small chance of getting big money, like a lottery ticket. It is meant to be fun, not to make your rich and fix your life, or be something that can wreck your life.

How about a different take on this question? He asks "is gambling a fix to your life or will it wreck your life", what if he is a casino owner? He takes a gamble by placing a bunch of his coins as the casino bankroll, but the chances of him making back that amount with a profit margin of at least 1% (with dice sites, anyway and in the long run) is very high, in fact the chances of him making much more is a reality. So in this situation, gambling can be a fix for his life? Even as an investor, i gamble my coins, because some lucky guy may just come and take the whole BR which will cause me to go bankrupt! As an investor, i let math work for me though, so it is a "safer" form of gambling (if there is something as such!). Smiley

Just wanted to look at the question from a different perspective and this is what i came up with!  Grin

Well it did not fixed nor wrecked my life. I only bet what I'm afford to lose so there is no problem. But yes it would be nice if this hobby would start paying verry well over time lol, but I don't think it will happen xD
But it wont have de capacity to wreck anything since I don't risk what I don't have!

As most people here correctly point out, gambling can be a fun pastime if done in moderation. This is a form of entertainment that is equivalent to many others such as, a night at the movies, golf outing, day at the amusement park, and so on.

The trick is to treat it the same as the other forms of entertainment in which you have a set budget beforehand and stick with it. For example, say you are going to take your sweetheart to the fair this weekend, you would have a general idea of what you plan to spend. Say a show/concert maybe $80, some rides, food, etc another $40, maybe try your hand at a few games for another $40, and a few bucks for misc. items. Let's say you plan to roughly spend $200. Sure you might see or come across something to go over that, say you bought a couple t-shirts, but for the most part you will stick pretty close to the original amount you budgeted.

If this same strategy is used when gambling, you budget to gamble up to $200, once you hit that limit you are done. So once you lose $200, call it a night and come back later once you have had a chance to disengage yourself for awhile. A good strategy I have found is that this can work both ways. Say I go into a casino with the same $200, if I am up $200 (doubled my money) at any point, meaning I have $400, my original $200 plus winnings, I also call it a night. This way I have found over the longer term I can pocket some money on good nights rather than stick around until it is also lost.
