Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever

I will try to hold the most of the coins i do have at 2017, this year i had talked to my self will be the last year i do sell my bitcoins as well do invest them, but its something very hard to make saving bitcoins, there is always a project that you do wanna test, and support.

Everyone at the first place wants to hold their bitcoins longer in order to get more profits out of it but they actually sell a part of it because they need to, and when we sell later on we see the price growing and then we regret for doing that, but still we should save a portion of it if we cant save all of it i guess, that is what i do, i just sell a small part of it and keep the other for future.

It is not about you should sell your bitcoin or not it is about getting as much bitcoin as you can so one day you wouldn't have to exchange your bitcoin you can use them directly anywhere and to buy anything.

Those times will come, almost all of us here believe in this but for now Bitcoin is used mostly like a good investment and unfortunately some of us, me included, can't afford to hold them all and never selling them. I wish I can, but in reality it's impossible for me. So far I sold around 70% BTC I had, some of them at pretty low price.

We won't be able to see higher price of bitcoins if we simply keep on holding them without spending them, certainly its an investment for us but we should keep on spending a small portion of it on regular basis for the circulation as it will directly contribute to the better economy.

Well the price is dramatically falling right now but it is not a very big down fall. But it is still good to keep on holding, because I'm pretty sure that the price is going to keep on increasing. But I know good things come to those who wait patiently, I believe this saying. That is why I am still keep on waiting for more price increase.

What can I say? What happen is just normal, we have seen that over and over again but let us just hope that it will not fall hard. Whatever comes up must come down and that is normal in the crypto world not just bitcoin.

With this price fall of bitcoin, altcoins will take it action again and it is good to invest in ETH now since it has increase for 5%  or more and would certainly increase more if the action will continue.

That is right. There are many altcoins who does not have any pratical usage and the price is very low.

Really? So if we all think alike then bitcoin will grew in terms of price?
I dont think so. Who would want to make a business with something that is not really moving. People dont spend, people dont sell they all just buy and store it. Who is the stupid merchant who will make business with that?

You are comparing arbitrary UoM. But I am sure MSM does and will do the same.

Better comparison would be comparing market caps, which shows the upside potential.

yeah there is a lot of people never want to sell their bitcoin because they hold their bitcoin for the high price and i am sure bitcoin go to double its price soooner in the futre and it will be profitbale for everyone.

Yes you are right with it and once you are able to meet your desired amount it is the best time to sell bitcoins. Don't stand up for that belief that you are not going to never sell your bitcoins ever. Because how you are going to get profit if you are not going to sell some of it, so it must be sell your bitcoins at the right time and right amount.

Most of us I believe are doing the same thing.. in trading normally we are holding our bought bitcoins and wait for the right time to get a higher price to sell it. This is why we really need to sell bitcoins and bought another one and that what's make us profitable in the long run.

No one know how will look Bitcoin price in 5 - 10 years, but $1000 can reach in few months
It is not about the price, but about why you shouldn't sell Bitcoin.
As i wrote Bitcoin price should to grow and grow.. For me Bitcoin is a way to have very beautiful retirement.

I think it can be reach this following year so if you have a large amount of bitcoin in your wallet you can make a good profit next year..
For now we are lucky that the price of bitcoin was staying 700+ that i think is a sign that the price will increase more soon.. and reach a new goal of 800+..

I have been planning to use funds that I can easily let go to acquire my bitcoins.  My situation has been mostly working quite a odd jobs to pay off most of my debts.  What's left is a mortgage and few utilities but saving the Bitcoin is something personal in which I can one day have something to pass down to my kids.  If you ever watch Donald Duck, he had a special dime to remind him why he was committed to retaining his estate.  The feeling of having the Bitcoin is a reminder to me why I had to have all my debts in order with an emergency fund.  Bitcoin would have a more sentimental value worth keeping.

maybe this time it is better not to sell bitcoin, but I do not think that never sells bitcoin what you have is a good thing. Well, what are you looking for bitcoin if you never sell it. bitcoin not illegal, as long as it is not illegal it would be better if you were to sell it. so I think you just have to look for it and sell it at the right time.

Almost everyone in the world of bitcoin holds their coins in order to generate profits out of it and for that they would probably need to sell their coins at the right time but they should not become greedy and keep them more even after getting a good price, if someone does that there is a chance that they might lose a percentage of the profit they could earn.

Well said. You can't afford to continue keeping your bitcoin forever, when ever there is increase in the price and you have got reason to profit and do sell it to make the most out of it because there is no assurance that the price will continue to rise forever. Do that to avoid possible losses but selling all the coins at a time will not be a right thing in my opinion.

Basics of economics stipulate that the price cannot grow infinitely. But Bitcoin's potential is huge as it's only been adopted by a fraction of percent of the world population. If its adoption will keep growing at a similar rate, I would not be surprised if the price could go up tenfold within a a few years.

The point I'm trying to make is that you may sell all your bitcoins now and later regret doing that. Or you may just as well be very lucky should anything go wrong with it.

I think it would also be more than $1000 from it I keep some bitcoin and using some of the bitcoin also for daily needs

I don't see a problem if someone wants to cash out their bitcoins for a big profit. I personally will hold some bitcoins for the long term, but I will sell some if we see a big increase. It is still a risky investment.

Reading the responses to the recent topic titled, "I would sell all my bitcoins if…." has left me concerned.

The kinds of responses on that thread reveal a deep misunderstanding of bitcoin and the current monetary system in many of those who are speculating. Let's consider the scenario in which bitcoin reaches $1000 or let's say $10,000 per bitcoin. Many have said they will cash out if bitcoin reaches this point. Why??

If bitcoin reaches $10,000 it will have to be because the fiat currencies of the world are tumbling to worthlessness via a hyperinflation type scenario and bitcoin is the safe haven, which if you know anything about the current monetary systems of the world, you know this is inevitable. (there have been 3800 fiat currencies throughout history and EVERY SINGLE LAST ONE has crashed to worthlessness; a value of zero) Why would you then sell all of your sound money (Bitcoin) for a bunch of fiat money that is inevitably becoming worthless? I don't understand the logic in doing that.

If bitcoin ever reaches $10,000 per bitcoin, you will NEVER see me selling for fiat paper money. You may however see me having a shopping spree at Overstock.com or TigerDirect.com or NewEgg.com! I will be buying things I want with my bitcoin profits DIRECTLY WITH BITCOIN, not selling my bitcoin for paper fiat. Hopefully by then there will be many more options, perhaps even Amazon.com will be accepting bitcoin for goods and I can have my shopping spree there.

Point being, selling bitcoin for dollars seems counterproductive. Why convert your paper fiat currency into sound value storing superior bitcoin, only to sell all of your superior bitcoin back for worthless antiquated fiat currency again? Why not just spend the bitcoin itself to buy what you want instead of taking a loss by converting back into dollars which will inflate away eventually anyway?

Others buy and buy bitcoin and never sell it for at least 5 to 10 years, cause the profit they could get for storing thier bitcoins for a long time is tje perfect choice and the profit could be 10000x.
