If anything is the future of cryptocurrency, I don't think ETH is, because ETH's processing speed is too slow. It doesn't support the demand for blockchain in the future
I think now it is going well. The speed is also adopted by ethereum. It is true that no one can take the place of bitcoin but it is also right that ethereum will also be a very good coin in the coming future.

We cannot say that because they are different in every ways. Bitcoin's purpose is not the same by Ethereum. Though Eth is more useful if you will analyze it. But then again, we cannot underestimate Bitcoin. Most people wants anonymous coins. We never know.

As bitcoin becoming a investment and not for micro payments and the forever scaling issues plaguing the system. There may be a time that bitcoin will not be the no. 1 coins. Maybe Ethereum will take over because its more robust technology - smart contracts. Even today companies all over the world has recognized its true potential and pushing for it in 2018.

And not only Ethereum, but other altcoins as well. Bitcoin will be bitcoin, no questions about that, but they will be just a investment platform because the price is too high plus, tx fees are high and very very slow confirmations. While altcoins will be considered at the next revolutionary technology that companies are all looking for.

I think Bitcoin probably has a slightly better chance of staying strong in the long run over Ethereum because of how its viewed as like the Gold of the virtual world, the safe store of value,  whereas Ethereum is more about every day practical applications and this is an area where a lot of other 2nd and 3rd generation cryptos are coming along pushing things much further ahead.

A lot will depend on whether changes to Ethereum mean it can deal with such things as CryptoKitties which highlighted its current limits.

They both have place in our world, alread have Smiley They just needed for different purposes (BTC = gold, ETH = contracts) and thats why they will both survive  Smiley

absolutely agree with this statement as well as the fact that the etherium is currently undervalued in the market, I think that we will soon see the etherium1000 - 1500 $

Yes, they have different goals and they both are needed. Now many people find it hard to imagine their lives without bitcoin and ether. In the future they will only become better and bring profit to their owners.  Shocked

Surely can not say that ethereum will be future of Crypto,There are many altcoins having contributions in crypto world as well.It is possibility if ethereum will go this flow and low charges for transactions may be investors attract from it.To compete and lead the Bitcoin it needs time.

ETH will allow $2T of underground economy to become more structured (and possibly less underground) through DAOs.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/04/23/americas-2-trillion-shadow-economy-is-the-recessions-big-winner/

If it captures 1% of that $2T, it is equivalent to $20B, which would put ETH somewhere around $150. Those who sell for $2 will shit bricks, eat sand and may even commit suicide in the years to come. If it captures 10% of that ETH will be $1500. I know it sounds crazy, but so did the Internet in 1995.

Once it's launched their main focus will be on scalability, which I think is the real reason crypto is not ready for mainstream. Once they can handle 100K TPS (and I'm sure they will), it's game over.

There is a great possibility for ethereum to have a good. There are many altcoins in the cryptoworld that is supporr ethereum since the platform is very essential to use. There are many platforms that has a partnership to ethereum so were still hoping to have a good future for ethereum

The future is uncertain for most things - and for crypto it is even more! 1 week in crypto is a long time and many things can happen. Please take that into consideration when balancing your portfolio.

this is really far from reality, look at the price now ethereum cant even make half of bitcoin  and why can ethereum take bitcoins spot in number1 while for years eth stays 2nd or 3rd in positioning.but im a eth fanatic too i just dont want to be frustrated so i accept that reality

They are both the present of cryptos, the future of cryptos will be something new, more scalable, which probably has still to be created.

i think in long long term  - ethereum will be worthwhile and safer cause it grow slowly not as a bitcoin who can grow up at one day. But Only my opinion
I have the same opinion. Bitcoin shows such a daily growth and drop in the exchange rate, which is very frightening
The same is true for Ethereum you just need to look at the charts some months ago and you will see for yourself that Ethereum can move a lot as well in a short time frame, also since bitcoin has such a huge market cap is a lot more difficult thing to move the price of bitcoin than to move the price of ETH or any other altcoin so by definition most altcoins are going to be more unstable than bitcoin.

Absolutely does not agree with you. Both these two coins deserve attention. And both have a great future. Bitcoin and Ethereum are designed for different areas of activity, and they are the best, at the moment, in its direction. And my opinion is that they will live all the time while there is a crypto currency and no one will put them forward, because Bitcoin is the beginning of the history of digital money in cryptography, it is the foundation for absolutely all crypto-currencies that already exist and that will be, but Ethereum gave a new development in the digital world of money! Time will tell who was right.

I believe bitcoin can have the highest on the market. Bitcoin is king of cryptocurrency compared to all other coins. Ethereum popularity is mainly due to the ICO fever. Therefore, both these two coins will be the future of the crypto currency world and helps everyone to earn as profitable today and in the future.

yes it seems that your statement is true, because for now bitcoin rivals are indeed ETH, and ETH is not just silent they are working with existing startup by making smart contract with ETH that is a good step to be the trigger of ETH price increase.
