Why will it not? If in the future bitcoin keeps going up and fiat keeps going down which is what happens when they print more of it on a whim people might wise up. Money should grow over time not devalue and bitcoin could solve this and that's what's great about a deflationary currency.

I can see that you've got high hopes about bitcoin but dollar has been there long before bitcoin has been established but I don't think that it would replace USD anytime soon. We're a small community compared to the fiat and I'm pretty sure you know where I'm going with this.

I agree in toto.The chances of bitcoin replacing any fiat let alone dollar is almost negligible.A small, unorganized community of bitcoin users cannot make much difference.On the other hand there is a strong possibility that governments may openly come out against bitcoin and declare it illegal.If that happens,bitcoin will die a natural death

Even lengthen the years more, bitcoin will never replace the dollar. Bitcoin is an alternative mode of currency, a crypto currency. I do not think the government will go through that change when there is already an established mode of payment and currency. The dollar has been an established global currency which is a centralized in its form unlike bitcoin which is decentralized.

Yes only for online buying purpose people use bitcoin but it will not replace any fiat currencies. That will be very difficult.

But for small transaction on BTC you can use internal ledgers. If mainstream adoption of Bitcoin come, that will not be a problem since already widely used services like Coinbase can let users send and receive payments without actually going through the BTC blockchain.

This require centralization of accounts but if it become government controlled, -in the case where a currency is replaced by BTC this will be an absolute requirement-, then that will not be a problem.

I don't think that Bitcoin will ever replace dollar in future. As per the current position and situation of bitcoin its not possible to ignore dollars. Dollars will remain the main mode of transactions in future also but it doesn't mean that Bitcoin will dead, Bitcoin will be limited to use for online shopping, betting, gambling.

The magic property that still is needed is stability, for bitcoin to become a real "calculation unit". I see some progress in the last months, but it's a pretty weak stability, there can be a crash every day.

Indeed I think unfortunately the fiat scam is so well designed that it can last for a century and we'll be dead before we see the dollar empire fall. Not sure about Euro tho, we'll see.
In the meantime anyway, all those so called gurus like sephan molyneux let alone alex jones will keep making money off people expecting an incoming economic doom. We'll see Bitcoin going to 1 million a coin before we see the dollar fall.

I agree, do you really think the people who are in charge of the fed will go down easily without a fight?  The people who pretty much control government(s), media cooperations, and the like? No, we won't see this happen any time soon.  There has been decades upon decades of the use of this currency and it won't be going anywhere since the fed pretty much controls everything.  Even though the private banks are made up of a small finite set of people... they are a very powerful small finite set of people... people that are indirectly in control of armies.

Dollar is very popular currency I mean it is widely used and everyone knows about it and used it it somehow, when Biticoin replace it I think it is possible through time, maybe decades from now we'll use biticoin instead of the dollar. If that happens I know it is not impossible there will be a lot of changes in the future generations.

Governments need means of creation and control of currencies, that Bitcoin does not offer.

IMHO there is one requirement for replacing USD by BTC - complete crash of current economical system.

I believe cryptocurrency the technology would eventually replace money, but I don't know if it will be this soon or if it's going to be bitcoin. There are lots of Altcoins out there that do have the potential to be better than bitcoin.
