No I do not think the dollar will be replaced anytime soon by the bitcoin because the dollar is simply a step to big to take over by the bitcoin.
I also think this will take years over years to even try this, many banks will also stop this in my opinion.
Plus the last problem is also that the bitcoin is good but the banks are also gonna be fully digital and be something like a coin in my prediction.

Well bitcoin has no power to remove any currencie soo forget that thing,bitcoin its a potencial investment with high pontencial risk and reward.
Indeed, I'm thinking the same thing, I do not think its gonna win from the bitcoin, the bitcoin is even depending on the fiat so that already says enough. I overall think it could not be reached, its just too much for the bitcoin itself in my opinion. yeah bitcoin is currently still have to rely on a fiat to the survival of bitcoin itself. rate on the dollar for bitcoin is still the best thing in priority moreover bitcoin is still not so well known and yet mainstream. so the strength of bitcoin is not so great for bitcoin still depend on fiat I doubt bitcoin can do it |

It will not happen soon mate, you can see indeed that Bitcoin is becoming popular in use but it can not replace Dollar now because there are a lot of people is still using Dollar.
It is only possible after some 15 years if Bitcoin is doing good and that we keep it promoting so the chance will be higher that more people will going to use it, it is their own choice.
Yeah to many people are still using the Dollar. Bitcoin is becoming more and more popular, but for Bitcoin to take over the dollar is has to become more popular and more used then the dollar and that is not the case. |

both cannot be made equal, as dollar is the one known to everyone, even a kid, whereas bitcoin not known to people even in developed countries. This unequaled both. When it becomes popular there can be a chance, but can take years. |

I dont think it will replace dollar soon. Simply because the government has the controls of dollars. If bitcoin replaced dollar, the government will in some way be ignored. Bitcoin wallet is very anonymous. You can not easily trace the holder of the money if it is in bitcoin even if you have the address. Although in the future future (like far from today), I believe that bitcoin or electronic currency will eventually take place. Every thing will be controlled by electronics in the future though. The number of services that accepts bitcoin is also gradually rising. In short: I don't think bitcoin will replace dollar SOON. But eventually, the crypto-currency has a chance to replace the paper-currency. |

Even not being the dollar? The dollar is the strongest currency in the world. I do however agree with you that Bitcoin is just an alternative to all fiat currencies. It gives us something to choose as we now have the freedom to do so. |

it doesnt have such strength just yet but im pretty confident that bitcoin will keep on growing and there will be a lot of new people and companies who will start accepting it and this will push the price up as the price will be higher and more people will be interested in this cryptocurrency, surely there will be a possibility of revolution that will change the dollar |

Even not being the dollar? The dollar is the strongest currency in the world. I do however agree with you that Bitcoin is just an alternative to all fiat currencies. It gives us something to choose as we now have the freedom to do so. realistically indeed bitcoin have no power to replace a giant currency such as dollar or euro, while bitcoin is only a digital currency. but sometimes i believe in the future digital money/digital currency will more useful than fiat/paper money, who knows it will happens? and i put a little faith on it. |

I agree with you. And I am just thinking why is it that people who are really full of faith with bitcoin wants to destroy other currency and fiats. That seems really odd. Though both can exist along and use each other for a good and faster transaction. |

Bitcoin will never be able to overcome the power of fiat currency, be it pound or usd.
Bitcoin is just an alternative to save money and nothing else. It doesn't have the characteristics to become a mainstream currency.

It will replace it sooner, the banks already preffering the digital system, just think about ATM, and dollar will be replaced as only USA is supporting dollar while bitcoin is supporting from a all over the world. |
