Bitcoin first must establish himself as fast and secure currency,
then must prove why he is better than dollar, and whole world must witness..
I think it's all been proven by bitcoin, anonyms, convenience, faster transactions, security, etc all owned by the bitcoin, just waiting for the right time, for bitcoin take over the position of the dollar You are correct that bitcoin has many advantages over dollars. The upside of bitcoin is the downside of it ever being able to replace any main currency of any country where there is a central bank with full control. They will never give up control of the monetary system willingly to something decentralized like bitcoin. So no op bitcoin will not replace the dollar nor any currency but it can live side by side just time will tell how much. |

Not only US government,none of the government around the world no one ready to accept bitcoin officially. If they announce they should show their transaction to the world with transparency way. no politician will recognize that. thats issue i guess. |

I believe bitcoin can overtake dollars in very near future in terms of online usage volume. This may reflect in plastic card usage in next decade. This way bitcoin will replace dollars.
I think for the near future, it will not happen, fiat still too strong It's really hard to believe that a digital currency will replace any fiat money not just usd but not even GBP or EUR, fiat will stay on its feet for many decades. |

I don't think bitcoin will replace dollar, even though we are on a digital era. Dollars , or in general fiats, were centralized while bitcoins were decentralized. If ever bitcoin will replace dollar, I guess bitcoin will be centralized, just like fiat and I think people don't want that. I think its enough bitcoin will stay next to dollar  |

This is the most confused notion that people tend to have. Dollars, Euro, and every other fiat system IS NOT REAL MONEY. Central banks in every country creates what you think is real money out of thin air. It's literally paper that doesn't represent anything of value, yet, it is supposed to be a value of whatever denomination it has on the note... which is backed up on the "trust of the government". Money and the market systems is guided by the "invisible hand", which used to be backed by gold... now it is backed by nothing. Every dollar you have in your wallet and bank account is essentially worthless in all actuality, just as of right now you need it to purchase real world goods and pay bills... but the hope is to be able to pay for goods, services, pay bills, pay taxes, etc with crypto (which will hopefully be backed by gold, as well as cold hard, fundamentally sound math.). |

I agree with you, because the US dollar is obviously very large. Some people do not even know what Bitcoin. So if it does happen then it takes even years. |

Far from now that for sure, It really takes time to replace the dollar, but its possible. The bitcoin gets popular everyday so that's good plus it has a good future a head. |

I think that's really not going to happen. It takes a very long time.
Using many people Dollar, and many people do not have a few Bitcoins.

Nah it won't happen it will take very long till that will happen.
Lets say about 10 years or so its difficult to say of course.
The dollar is to large at the moment the bitcoin is small compared with the dollar.

yes , i completely agree with his prediction. it think everyone will use digital money related to bitcoin and bitcoin chain at least twenty years later.. He believes that because he's the CEO of a big Bitcoin company. You are just a regular Bitcoin user. If Bitcoin fail he'll lose his job, he can't say his exact thoughts and the chance of a failure. I think Bitcoin will be a success story but replacing dollar soon? I don't think so. |
