Not really replacing but maybe a good alternatives of Dollar? Previously when we trade virtual goods people only accepted paypal skirll and etc, but now most people are accepting btc and give discount if you paid btc which shows that btc is a really good currency to be paid with.
As mentioned in the above quote it won't replace or gets used as an alternative. Only it will top in the digital currency segment. |

No I do not think the bitcoin will replace the dollar soon or ever, the dollar itself is just too big to destroy in my opinion.
I think the bitcoin can never be such big and powerful as the dollar is because its just a main currency in my eyes.
The dolar is not the main currency, but a national currency of USA, it is adopted for international use only because of its strength and stability, and if bitcoin got stability, it will readily replace dollar. |

The dolar is not the main currency, but a national currency of USA, it is adopted for international use only because of its strength and stability, and if bitcoin got stability, it will readily replace dollar. Bitcoin got stability? It's not true, nobody knows how it will happen tomorrow. Sure you can said this about dollar but you know what i am talking about. |

Indeed, it could maybe function as a alternative but not more than that, I do not think that is possible, the bitcoin is right now too small and the dollar way too big to disappear in my opinion. Another fact is also that the bitcoin is just right now depending on the dollar and also not used for normal transactions. If this will change there will be a chance if I'm right. |

Of course not, it is impossible. I am convinced that bitcoin and dollar will coexist forever (or at least while the bitcoin exists, because I think its technological "soul" will become obsolete sooner or later), but the American dollar has the enough historic background to resist all the new currencies to come, and the Euro project is a proof of that.

I agree with you. than we are trying to bring down the dollar. which will be very difficult to better. we strive to be the alternative of dollars. First we must replace paypal.! That's quite a nice idea, before replacing dollar we have to replace the alternatives of dollar. But how far we can able to replace dollar is always a doubt. |

No that can't be..Dollar is well established currency with strong support from the people not just from US but all over the world..Though we know that bitcoin is going to be stronger this coming years, it still can't beat dollar...

Even if it can that should not happen. There will be a lot of chaos in the world if this happen. A lot of people own dollar so how can you expect the, to give this back through the means of bitcoin. Will bitcoin be enough for all the people that own a dollar? Every single penny should be changed through this currency and that is like an impossible thing to happen. |

Yeah it will really take a long time before bitcoin can replace dollar,if there enough shops locally then we might see an increase in users of bitcoin and that is the first step. |

It cant replace dollar son, as you can see you see that the value of Bitcoin is now not even rising and we all know that Bitcoin is rising in using and that works very well with Bitcoin but it cant replace Dollar soon.
maybe it will be only possible after some 20 years when more people will get to know about Bitcoin because than they will also use it.

i think pretty same too, it should change bitcoin in 15-25 years,if people will use it more and more each year, it's price will rise too, then more stores will accept it,more people will use it, till they won't use fiat anymore and will use bitcoins only, that would be gold days for bitcoin, of course if it wont die till that time but i hope it won't |

The dollar is way too big and also too many people are depending on the bitcoin these days, the bitcoin is just small compared with the dollar.

It could maybe be possible in a lot of years from now but soon is just unrealistic the bitcoin still has to grow a lot and I mean really a lot.
The bitcoin is right now too small and the dollar too big so it will never happen till this has been changed.

to be honest dollar is in its hard times right now and if people will stop using it that much it will soon start failing for sure in my opinion, and it will happen sooner or later i believe if bitcoin keeps on growing at a very rapid pace we will see some more people joining it and it will have more power than it does right now, i hope bitcoin will soon replace dollar |
