Dortmund is a contender too but they are not as convincing as Bayer Leverkussen is with their game play,not being able to score a lot of goals and that is a big red flag overall for their campaign of this season.

I think since Kolo Muani's move to PSG has made Frankfurt less productive so far and last night when they hosted Freiburg at home they only played a goalless draw. In fact, Kolo Muani's role is very important for Frankfut and even though in the end Frankfurt was able to make quite a lot of money from his sale, they are not ready to play matches this season. If we step back for a moment from the 5 matches that Frankfurt has played, they only got 1 win and 4 draws. Wouldn't it be a shame if in those 4 matches they only got 4 points? and they should be able to win in some of these matches rather than ending in a draw.

I will not advice comparing the both players. Kane is another player who has developed through the Premier League he is at a higher level than Boniface. Bayern scored 7 away to Bochum in their most mediocre year, last year. These matches are not a measure. Notice that the wingers are all playing on their own, always thinking about goals. Kane doesn't have enough passing, thinking, evaluating his runs. This team can't see beyond the quarterfinals of the Champions League. They play selfishly. Bayer Leverkusen signed him from Belgian team Union for 20 million euros. They spent so much money on his transfer because he is a really high quality and promising starlet. Last year he scored 17 goals and 12 assists in 49 games in Belgium. He has really impressive statistics. It's a bit difficult for him to do the same in the Bundesliga, but he made a good start in the Bundesliga and maybe he will do the same impressive stats in the Bundesliga. I wouldn't compare him to Harry Kane already, but maybe he can compete with Serhou Guirassy.

Leverkusen are still unstoppable. While even Bayern Munich can stop them in Allianz Arena I wouldn't have expected Heidenheim to be the one to do that of course. That was exactly what happened. Maybe Heidenheim scored an equalizer first but the rest was just a destruction by Leverkusen.  Grin

Boniface is also hard to stop these days. He scored 2 more goals and look ambitious for top scorers. However Guirassy is dominating this table currently. If he goes on like this for a long time even Kane can have difficulties in competing with him. But I don't think Guirassy can be more consistent than Kane in general of the season.

Xabi Alonso was a masterclass and even against a Bundesliga promotion team he was also merciless in destroying Heidenheim with a landslide score. One goal scored by Heidenheim was no doubt just a consolation goal in this match because of course they already knew that defeat was inevitable. Victor Boniface is indeed one of the strikers to watch out for this season because I have often discussed him since his arrival at Leverkusen, who will continue to make the attack line even sharper. The competition for the top scorer will be dominated by 3 players such as Guirassy, Victor Boniface and Harry Kane, but I think Harry Kane's chances are still the biggest so far because he plays for Bayern Munich and that is the reason why he is much more stable than other strikers.

Honestly I wasn't expecting it to be this strong. They have the same points with Bayern Munich and similar stats with them also. I mean you know how great Bayern Munich have also started. But they aren't the only team scoring a lot of goals and defending their competitors solidly. Even in Allianz Arena Leverkusen got one point by a really impressive game.

This performance makes me really excited but I hope they can manage to keep up with Bayern Munich in the long term.
