Anyone find it ironic that an autistic CEO is trying to create a content/social network coin?  

Isn't it ironic that people have no clue what dcore is about and they are still commenting about the ceo being autistic? I am guessing that everyone is autistic to you.

I tried really hard to find out what this was about after I got my ICO coins. eventually gave up and dumped. There wasn't even a good post-ico pump!

I'm grateful it wasn't a scam and still operational. Open to having my mind changed but now that this has successfully dumped 99% and is barely on any exchanges, it's on life support at best. Give me a reason to buy back and i will. Does this compete with Steem? If so hows it looking? At least with steem there is user growth/decline I can measure price against, even with its flaws.

It does not compete with steem. Only thing linking it to steem is the code is "loosely" based on that. But i am not trying to change your mind or giving you reason to join in as people buying this doesn't suit my interests at the moment .

DCore is vastly different from STEEM, though a STEEM-like network could theoretically be built atop of DCore.

I, nor probably anyone, is here to sell you on DECENT. Do your own research and form your own conclusions. But coming on here and insulting the CEO, whom you don't know, and bashing this project without even the slightest knowledge of it is extremely rude and childish.

Yes, there will probably be a good deal of fake users join from people trying to cheat. At the least, DECENT will get some cheap advertisement across all the major social networks.  Personally, I think that the hackathons, panel discussions, speeches and conference meetups, like they did throughout 2018, are the best advertisement for this platform at this time. But it doesn't hurt to get the community engaged and have a little fun while putting DECENT's name out there to retail investors more. I am not a marketing expert though, so what do I know? lol. Even if this program only nets a handful of people interested in building on DCore, it is worth it in my opinion.

I definitely agree on your way of marketing. Hackathons and such is a way to do it. But like i said, amounts are so low and they are on dct so it won't cost almost anything to the team, even though imho this is pointless.

I also wonder how the team will prevent abusing. This kind of campaign can be easily abused by bots.

The total the team is giving away with this program is 10,000 DCT. Each participant will get a portion of the total. I agree that most giveaways end with a majority of recipients dumping their earnings, but 10,000 DCT divided amongst 1,000 participants will not have a significant effect on the market in my opinion.

If you believe otherwise, please explain why. I am always open to other perspectives.
