My Internet went down before i woke up this AM.
My S5s came back online when the internet came back up...but my S7 (batch 1) didn't. I can still see it when i check it thru my LAN. All the ASICs are there and have all 0's but there is no hashing. The fans are running too.
I rebooted. No change. I switched PSUs - still no change. I did a few reboots- no change. Then i reset it to factory settings- still no change. Finally, i called Bitmain in Denver. The tech guy used chrome remote desktop to look at my kernel log , miner status etc. Then he shh'd into my rig. He couldn't find a problem either.
So I will be contacting Bitmain to see what can be done.
Has anyone else had this problem?
power up your s7 wait until 5 minute, login to your s7 copy all kernel log and send to me via PM. (include eye exmine-beeping-red led near the eth cable-blade Red leds lit??) i can resolve your situation. PM sent.

several people already reported the exact (or almost exact) problem. it happened to me a couple of days ago, but it did come back to life by itself after several reboots in software, then reboot via PSU (so far did not help), then disconnecting and connecting back the router, then disconnecting and connecting back the bridge. Then it restarted. Someone (@kaltar) reported that flashing the same op system (basically updating with the system file that you already have-10/23) again solved it for him. I did not try this method myself.

I did not try this method myself. I did all of that and changed the PSUs, Reset the system to Factory Settings, changed all of the Hashing Cards/Control Boards, Changed the router, reset the modem, but all did not work. All of the results were no hashing. I ended up sending the Control boards (3) and the Hashing Cards (9) back to Bitmain.

If you read some history the RM series PSU's were faulty. Or at least a huge batch of them. This is why Corsair replaced all my RM1000's with HX1000's for free. If I can remember you needed to look/view the PSU serial number to make sure it wasn't a "defective" model. At least a place to start. This is why in the end I'm using Seasonic PSU's. Still using the HXi's, which are made by Seasonic. Good luck.
Today, I use this power supply unit with 3 x S5 water cooled blades already 2 weeks. 850-880W Everything is running normally.

Its simply crazy how volatile the ROI can be in just a few days of a difficulty increase.

Yeah 1BTC per TH. Problem is, with these crazy diff increases upcoming due to the large amount of orders when S7s hit around 3.5/4BTC for 4.6TH those sitting on BTC ready to re-invest it in mining bought a crap-ton of miners. We haven't seen the worst of the difficulty ramp yet I'm afraid

If one were to underclock them to say 4TH/s one should be running under 1000w correct? Without having to undervolting these beasts.
