I wouldn't say that gambling is wrong, because it's your money and you're allowed to do whatever you choose to do with it. Even if you choose to give it away or gamble it on something stupid, well that's your own personal choice and you are free to do whatever you would like to do with your earnings.
However, in my personal experience gambling is more likely to bring loss than profit; I know many people that have gained a lot from gambling, but I guess I am not as lucky as some people so I just stick to micro-bets for the most part.

Everything is like gambling when it comes to money. Investing, different form of gambling, stocks/trading, a different form of gambling. Insurance? Gambling and in the states Insurance is mandatory to have for your car, so basically they are forcing you to gamble. This is true to some extent. With investing, you can do some research on the company or sector you want to invest. Gambling is mainly based on luckiness, within built in house edge against you. In long term, the investment in stock market in general is positive. In gambling, it is negative return. |

But I can understand the truth behind it. When we are investing our hard-earned money yet expecting some good returns which may be a gambling. Because expecting is not assured in this real-world economics. |

All seems wrong when it Hurts You , soon when you are getting Profit from it you switch your Notion according to surrounding.
Gambling is not bad habit but some people make it as addiction , and addiction is bad.

First there is nothing wrong with it in my opinion. It is just like playing the lottery in your home state. Here is the issue with gambling bitcoin. There is a growing market with it, but there is no way you can do this and turn it into a day job and be profitable, because there is not enough of the gambling going around. For example, if one of the companies out there have a bankroll of 15 BTC, and someone bets 1 BTC and they only take 1%, there is not much of a way for the system to allow that bet to keep going through over and over and win. This is the larger issue. Some of the larger casinos taking BTC are more profitable for the professional gambler.

I know many religioins like Christianity and Catholocism do actually support gambling if it is done for FUN and not to gain assets. As most forms of gambling is done for fun, then gambling is right. If it is not done for fun then it may be wrong, but why would you do something if you don't enjoy it? |

Gambling is to spend and money, wit very little chance of getting the money back. But in the gambling process, there is some fun. compared to some of the activities you listed, gambling has a higher "degree" of fun for the potentially higher cost. people love the adrenaline rushes of having money on the line more than anything i would imagine, especially the addicts. there are so many addicts who always saying something along the lines of "i feel alive when i gamble," and value that rush over their financial status. |

What you said is very true as long as one don't use gambling to make a profits then it is not wrong because they know when to quite the gambling after losing some money but people who gamble for making money then after losing money they may try to get back the lost money and end up in a big loses. |

So if you constantly lose all your money and because of that your family is starving or you can't buy a new toys for your kids then it is terribly wrong and not funny at all. |
