Even if they really got hacked. They are dealing with problems like braindead people and taking money although you know you will never give it back is crime and they just hacked the mail servers no word of any funds missing by now (which is my bet, they don't own all userfunds anymore)

100% agree. But I doubt they really got hacked. Smells fishy, at fist there are withdrawal problems for weeks (deposits and trading still works). To avoid waves of complaints, they let some withdrawals go through to get more deposits (like a Ponzi??). Suddenly they notice technical issues and stop trading and withdrawals completely (still accept deposits) for a few hours. They suggest trying to withdraw smaller amounts at a max. of 0.01 (they charge you everytime, imagine you need to withdraw 3 BTC in 0.01 steps, do the maths). And now, when air gets thinner, the long expected "hacker attack" occured.

A script of a movie couldn't be more predictable than this story. Until I'm proven wrong, it's nothing but scamming and stealing.

because the users had massive balances but were not trading that much. so you just raise the withdrawal fees to get a part of the pie that doesn't belong to you

Paul is a scammer nothing else

I never paid much attention to it, Cryptsy was mostly #3 on trading volume but for many coins the only exchange. But yeah, makes sense what you say and it's similar to my thoughts.

And don't forget, only coins with at least 30% higher prices than on other exchanges still work and they get recommened in the trollbox by the trollbox admins!!!

EDIT: even these coins are locked by now ...

I bet they will be bankrupt by the end of february and all "customers" will loose everything like in the good old MtGox times...

Don't forget the divorce, it's time to hide assets and earnings. Crypto during a weak price period for altcoins isn't the worst "investment". The next pump and dump period will occur and you can sell your coins xx% higher than now.

Nearly all altcoins are dying currently look at the volumes. most of them are just c&p coins so i wouldn't count on a pump Wink

Pump and dumps will never end until you regulate the price which defeats the whole point. Some alts are awesome. Most scams though

Here is a statement from the man himself about today's phishing fiasco.

http://blog.cryptsy.com/

He also says another statement will be coming out within the next couple of days.

I know it isn't much, but it's definitely a step in the right direction.  I just said I'd post as I got info and I was just told of the blog post.

A step in the right direction? A bit fucking late, 4 fucking months late.

My crystal ball sees appending doom is near.

Horus, find out long the asshole banned me from cryptsy chat, it has been over 2 weeks.

Regarding other issues that have been apparent at Cryptsy for the last couple months, I will be making another post to explain what has been happening in the next couple days.

And this is why I shut down CryptoAve and returned everyone's funds. It's almost impossible to find staff that can be trusted with sensitive data and a one-man show can't handle thousands of users.

A step in the right direction would be to shut the whole thing down, sort it out (quickly), and give everyone their money back. I mean real money not the +50% overpriced shitcoins.

How could a blog entry possibly be any kind of "right" if it's been insolvent for months now, without communication, and people have LOST money?

It's too late for that. You have to shut down exchanges as soon as you anticipate problems like this.

They have waited too long and probably no longer have the funds to return to their users.

Well, to be fair we don't fully know yet what "this" is. I'm not holding my breath but - hypothetically speaking - if the funds are still there and can be recovered then it still needs to be shut down NOW to prevent further bleeding. Maybe even a compensation plan could be worked out for those who were forced to withdraw via alts at a loss (although that opens a whole barrel of worms).

On the other hand, the fact that they are NOT doing what would make sense (i.e. shutting down) probably means bad news.

And seeing that they haven't bothered to even put up a warning of any kind on the website for months - it doesn't look like whatever sob story is coming out in a "couple of days" would bring any consolation.

It doesn't help that I was twice able to withdraw double my balance on Cryptsy.

I did return the coins to fix the negative balance, but that same issue has happened thousands of times on Cryptsy. Do you really think people that cashed out 10 free BTC are going to return them out of kindness?

How will they pay back money they don't have? That is the big question.

i bet with you that bitebi9.com is run by Cryptsy (BigVern) maybe they use a chinese sock puppet to get the "ownership problem" solved.

Everything fits, BigVern is in China and if he would just have sold the website there would be no reason to be there.
And who would buy a site like cryptsy? the trading engine sometimes leads to impossible market states like the first buy is higher then the first sell.
And even after months of withdrawal problems they told the people that the new withdrawal system is so complicated that they need more time to understand it, which means they developed something that they don't even understand (but i guess this excuse was just used to get more time ripping off customers that were still allowed to deposit)

bitebi9.com even mentioned Cryptsy multiple times, like on the coins sponsors page (they fixed this by now) but a picture showing this, was posted some time ago in this thread

Wouldn't it be stupid to run another site with the same design and probably bugs in the code? I mean, who knows, but it wouldn't make sense.

Recalling that Marshall Long, a bitcoin miner since 2009, was instrumental in getting Cryptsy in China, it all makes perfect sense now. It makes as much sense as going to China to open a Chinese-based website overseen by people who speak Chinese. If ONLY there were a way to accomplish said feat from the comforts of their about-to-expire leased office while going through a divorce.

Holy shit! I just had a brain fart. What if Godaddy et al. had top level domains referred to as TLD to denote what country of origin an entity represents? Is that even humanly possible? Then, once a person sets up say a Chinese site, he, she or it staffs it with Chinese folks. I'm a fuckin' genius!

Previously I commented on bitebi9.com sending confirmation e-mails from the same mail service as cryptsy for log ins and so forth.

Anyone think there is a connection to that and whats happening now?

To think I would not have been involved if craptsy had let me take my funds A MONTH AGO...

ya there is many points to this issue that blatantly call out Cryptsy staff as liars.
Take for example the domain name.. it was shown to be registered to "Project Investors" when doing a WHOIS.
Now lets think about this..
bitebi9 was later said to have been only available for Chinese users or your not allowed to sign up.
We also had JShock say on chat supposedly that BigVern had gone to China would be back on Monday
and because of security reasons he was not able to transfer Bitcoin from the cold wallet to the Hot wallet because
of the serious threat of Chinese hackers.

Take note: JShock then banned that same guy the very next day when he asked about an update on that comment.

Some have a staff member who confirmed BigVern was in China at the same time that users on this very topic
happened to stumble onto bitebi9 AKA Cryptsy China.. what a brutal coincidence !

Later Shill's like Terrik showed up on it trading although not a citizen of China.
Proof was seeing the idiot use his same user name on their chat box LOL ..Then he admitted it too.

So it's clear to me Terrik and cyberpinoy read this topic and bolted over there ASAP
skipping over the Chinese Citizen requirement and registering anyway and their staff over there (who we don't know)
never noticed the American(s) on their site i guess.

How did he know ?
Was it just from reading this topic ? Or is Terrik getting Cryptsy staff helping him out ?
Terrik then later tried to say the site "was not live" among other lies.  Roll Eyes
Terrik is indeed a lying slithering greedy deceitful "grinning" little NET scam pushing snake in the crypto grass.

So JShock after a while decided he would say on the Cryptsy Troll-Box that BigVern just sold them "some scripts"
But users had already posted here many similarities between the whole site..
minor cosmetic changes were made nothing more.

We also had a user post here how the Chinese chat box looked the same and
and how it contained the same unique Google Adsense URL.
Odd how they would have missed that.

They also have responded back to user requests for missing coins being deposited as "Cryptsy.com".
A user waiting for NVC coins to show up had gotten about 7 replies back that was copied and pasted
stalling the user indefinably.. saying.. "we'll let you know" days after day for a week or two.

Now explain to me guys why if you had sold "scripts" to a Chinese company why you would leave legal ties to it ?
Why would BigVern go and register a domain name (bitebi9) on behalf of his Chinese buyer ?
It said in their TOS  that it was for Chinese people only..
So why would the Chinese Cryptsy script owners want a US based company registered for their site ?
If i was a Chinese exchange operator i would not want a US company showing as it's owner.. WHY ?
I don't think the Chinese govt. is going to appreciate US based business setting up shop over there like they did.
It's not like BTC and crypto etc is considered as highly reputable over there.

Further more "Project Investors" is named in BigVern's divorce and another dozen other web site /company names.
Leaving that Chinese exchange site domain in jeopardy !

So what had gone down all along ? 4 consecutive months of users unable to get their coins out.
Then a user found ties to an address linked to Cryptsy showing 6 million in BTC
with that account seemingly skipping the Tier process and moving 20 BTC amounts at a time 24/7 daily.
Which as we all know our normal Cryptsy user can't move even a fraction of 1 Bitcoin with out waiting weeks !

So think about it..

6 million from the USA site / market
Wouldn't you need Bitcoin to start up a new exchange ?
I think BigVern gave the Cryptsy users the middle finger while he set up the new Chinese site.
And the fact that BigVern used the "Project Investors" USA company name on the Chinese only site is damning.
Does it make any sense that he would go and register the domain for the Chinese only market NEW Exchange owners ?
Of course not that is simply retarded !
But that is precisely what JShock said..

And who is JShock ?
A guy that had pulled many scams with BigVern since the 90's together..
Including a Porn Web site Advertising company where they had 1 of them pretend to be a customer.
Then we seen them run a Penny Auction site (Foopile) with a trail of fraud / theft and unauthorized CC charges on the web.

THEN we have their existing staff sucking their cock and staying after all the abuse.. HORUS
While they announce all offices in USA & Canada are closed while they OBVIOUSLY
take the Cryptsy users BTC funds to start up a new operation in China.
I am stunned how Horus is not worried about his Job.. looks like an exit strategy to me.
But he's the big "investigator" LOL

ALL

..of them have been caught lying and playing games together since the 90's
A leopard never loses it's spots people !

ALL

..of these people i have pointed out have shady deceitful dishonest history.
EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM !
From Owners to Staff to Admins to Chat Mods to their ass kissing Shill's
- Jagropolite / o0o0
- Terrik
- cyberpinoy
- Paul Vernon
- Jim Shockney
- Horus
- Mullick

and on and on and on and..

Don't believe me ?
Pick ANY one of these scammy cunts and i will post proof of them being dishonest.
It's just one huge giant circle jerk of Scam.

Cryptsy wound up being a Craigslist ad.. Scammers seeking other Scammers for Money making opportunity.

I have had enough of ALL those fucking scammy pieces of shit and they are going to have to leave Crypto now.
With my authority i now proclaim Cryptsy and Shill friends.. DONE !
GTFO of my Crypto scene you scammy cock suckers.. we don't want you here LEAVE !

Regarding other issues that have been apparent at Cryptsy for the last couple months, I will be making another post to explain what has been happening in the next couple days.

About two months ago we had a Thanksgiving dinner that couldn't be beat while listening to Alice's Restaurant. A month later, we exchanged gifts under an aluminum pole while listening to griefs by Cryptsy customers. Pause, to say that that was a very, very difficult thing to do. You go out and try to source an aluminum pole. Next came New Year's Eve where we went to the beach and got drunk on our fuckin' asses, then watched the fireworks at midnight. Somehow we got home to people houses' we've just met and fucked our fuckin' brains out.

In closing, we're working hard to find another office so to be able once again have the ability to report to clients on how hard we are working to resolve pending issues in spite of FUDster Trolls claiming such issues don't exist which is a blatant lie because we, ourselves, created them.
