Yes, but that's also true for literally every fiat currency. So it's a pretty much irrelevant point to even think about.

Never bought drugs not with Bitcoin and not with cash and not with anything else however and for what comes to my thoughts I thinks Silk road and this kind of  markets on the deep-web that sells drugs for BTC is the reason people aren't joining Bitcoin community , I mean the media like to point to this kind of stuff and this is bad , same goes for adult content website I assume .
Obviously and these are the things which are actually bringing shame to bitcoin as governments now see this as a medium of exchange of darkweb which makes it difficult to make it a globally accepted currency.

yeah, I dont think its just bitcoins that have been used for drugs. when you compare the amount of money sent to buy drugs with fiat vs bitcoins. Im sure about 90-99% are still using fiat and only 1-10% at best are through bitcoins.

I don't really know the statistics for global drug markets, but I wouldn't be surprised if something in that range was the truth.

these are worrisome data, should have some way to control the use of bitcoin to avoid crimes such as kidnappings,   drug sales, exploitation, black market.

I'm not worried about at all and frankly speaking don't even care. Criminals will find a way to game every system to their benefits. The correct move about this is creating a world where crime isn't lucrative in any way or form.

Buying drugs with bitcoin has been a resort for many people in the golden age of darknet since such products were highly traded on those non declared websites . And due to bitcoin's anonymity that turned out to be not complete , people had one problem taken away and were purchasing whatever they waned from internet without even having to get out of their homes and not even being known to their seller or dealer thus providing way more security to them. Bitcoin has been replaced with Monero now since it provides a lot more anonymous related features but will certainly stay on top of the cryptos chain .

No, and i hope no one use it for that reason, because it can ruin bitcoin reputation and one day the government will ban the coin and the society will leave bitcoin

Much money and effort is spent around the world to prevent crime, unfortunately it is not possible to completely prevent crimes. People who are prone to crime always develop a method of payment, crime if it was something that came up with Bitcoin, but I always had the crime. It is meaningless to make an excuse to prohibit bringing the crime especially side by side with BITCOIN.

Buying drugs with bitcoin is possible, if one can find a drug seller who sell drugs in return for bitcoin. Importantly now the bitcoin use in such antisocial activities have decreased a lot

I know someone that trades cryptocurrencies and sells weed at the same time. He would accept any kind of tokens.

Hmm, have you heard about the deepweb? Its like the black market in the physical world, where many stolen goods, firearms and even drugs are being sold here. Since the government ca not track every transaction they made, because besides using VPN and stuffs, masking yourself is also a must. So the anonymity of every person here is absolute, I mean do you want to be recognize in that kind of place?

Bitcoin can be used for any purpose, its a bad conection to drugs that some companies as well countries tryed to enforce bitcoin were only used for those dark business, the silk road were a big damage to bitcoin reputation, but the issues that bitcoin had fiat has since the begining, bitcoin has a problem that can be traced.

You're absolutely wrong mate, I don't believe that bitcoin has a problem that couldn't be traced. That linked about what happened regarding Russia's authority of a man being subjected on pursuit against the transfer of money from bank with a huge amount of fiat to bitcoin conversion at online exchange site, suspected as money launderer. If that drug money enters the system it can be traced through blockchain system, because we all transactions is centralized though network that every history would be scrutinized though confirmations against wallet to wallet transfers. The transparency can be traced on outgoing and incoming transactions, which those drug operations can be easily traced if the wallet sites they are using can give the legit details of their registrations with the online wallet website. Well, deepweb is the exact term for that dark market that's now damaged bitcoin's reputations, but we can help it traced if we knew something suspicious then you can report immediately to local authorities.

I'll suggest that instead of buying drugs using bitcoin is that you invest your bitcoin into trading or something that will benefit you. buying drugs will only ruin your life. use your bitcoin wisely. if you do so, it might improve your lifestyle. you might even get rich with bitcoin.

i think they use one of a privacy coin which is useful for illegal gamblers, drug dealers or something bad in the community, government can't track down their I.P address. they change VPN time to time and make money in the deepweb. so if they want to sell something they will use this coin and trade it to bitcoin. that's why bitcoin has a bad reputation in terms of transactions. therefore people might think bitcoin is not valuable at all.

The anonymity is not absolute. That's why several Darknet Markets were raided and closed, with many people getting arrested.

And yes, I do want to recognize that kind of place for as long as the government refuses to respect the freedoms of citizens.

If people want to do drugs, let them. If they were legally accessible we'd have more tax revenue and there would be no drug crimes.

And we wouldn't waste current tax money on prosecuting people who want to put random substances into their own bodies. But that's a whole different topic.

There is no need of black mailing bitcoin. I think from inception people purchase drugs and other illegal items with fiat currency before bitcoin come into existence. It is not bitcoin that is increasing the rate of illegal drugs business.
