Do you believe we need more ways of advertising Bitcoin currency?

I just finished watching Dope the movie. It kind of serves as advertising for Bitcoin even though it's associated with the dark web and drugs. At least it exposes Bitcoin to the younger generations.

But in a bad way. We need a more positive way.

Yay, good! I thought that clip was entertaining, but my advice is that when making another short film, focus on explaining bitcoins and why it will be a useful asset to society.

i don't know, maybe you are right. but it is hard for me to convince anybody about usefulness of bitcoin these days because of two major reasons.

1) there is no place in my country that accepts bitcoin. on top of that, places like Amazon, Steam,... are not accepting bitcoin and have no plan for the future either.
2) the price changes makes it a risky investment. so it would be hard to invest or even use it as a currency.

Yes and that's a method to advertise Bitcoin as well, making trades with Bitcoin, using it everywhere, selling and buying with BTC , is indeed spreading the word about it so easily and fast, and that's popularize it in the same time

we can take the simplest ways, like talking with relatives about Bitcoin, explaining how it works and that it's real currency like the other currencies, supporting Bitcoin by making it as payment processor if we have business websites, making trades with Bitcoin..

I think that a good amount of people have joined bitcoin from giveaways.
Personally i first heard about bitcoin from freebitcoin faucets (which i considered as a giveaway)
So making more giveaways from third companies about their products will advertise enough the bitcoin as a digital currency.

An exact word is Education. well i think we need to completely understand about bitcoin, then try to introduce it to some merchant around you or even restaurant, hotel and explain how it will be more value in the future, it's can be use global and it's easy to use.

Maybe we could sponsor a famous person to advertise Bitcoin
let's say a  gaming youtuber or someone like that, A lot of famous youtuber are being sponsored by gaming gears company like razer or roccats for instance,so why don't we try to be their sponsor
And a lot of people who watch them are people who understand technology so it will be easy to get them introduced to Bitcoin
Im sure it will attract lots of buzz over the internet and it will make bitcoin more popular

I am for more advertising, but after thinking a bit further, I think that advertising can't solve all of our problems.

People all over the world will change their money habits very hard. Current financial system works fairly well for them with the credit cards, Paypal, etc, so why would they change it? The answer is that they will probably not unless something doesn't make them change their habits. This could very well be financial crisis that we are all pretty sure, will hit the world in the near future.

Bitcoin needs to progress and to aim the use cases that need the most improvement at the moment in the world. Remittances markets for example. We need to advertise remittances markets!

Edit: We also need more Bitcoin remittances start-ups!

I still think that education is better than advertisement. Too many people still believe it's a ponzi scheme or that it holds "no inherent value". I think very many people have already heard about Bitcoin, but not many really know about it.

Advertising bitcoins also may not help. People who read about bitcoins aren't getting convinced to use them due to the negativity that has been evident in newspapers and magazines which is bad for the future bitcoins. When I tried to make my friend use bitcoins, he did not find it a convenient option and he prefers to trade in USD/EUR rather than BTC which isn't considered legal as of now. Also the "risk" factor makes people drop out. BTC should be promoted as a tax saving currency rather than a currency that is anonymous and not legal. It will help more people to join in and use this currency else it will just remain a virtual currency whose future is unknown.
