Never underestimate a player like Sabalenka especially in big slams throughout the year. Winning these events helps, but winning slams is something else entirely.

She is still a very good player, but recently she has not been showing the same level. Just like in the last Wimbledon, she lost to Osaka in the Round of 16, so she did not even get close to the final. Now she lost again, although this one is not a Grand Slam. Maybe she is starting to move past her prime already, that's just my guess.

You’re right, recently I have been watching her games, she’s been very terrible most especially in the last Wimbledon loosing to Osaka who have also been in a terrible form as well, in the last Roland Garos was also a very terrible performance in the French Open, and now loosing at the National Bank Open, it has been a very disappointing year for her, I don’t know if I will think she is getting out of her prime, she haven’t performed well all through the grand slam this year.

Eala has a good chance to advance and go far in this tournament, its 50-50 chance against Bencic and it can go either way today
For those looking for good odds, now is the best time to bet on Eala since she is the underdog. Who knows, she might upset her opponent again. But Bencic is no easy opponent. Just her record alone says it all. But considering she managed to beat opponents with higher world rankings, even higher than Bencic, she really still has a chance against Bencic.

Also, Eala is on a 7 win streak right now. It's not a bad choice to bet on her, she is still hot.
Sad that the streak ended. She was still fighting in the first set, but the energy just wasn't there anymore. In the second set, she really struggled to score, so I think all the continuous matches finally caught up with her. Maybe the injury also affected her a little, even though she said she was fine. Still, it was a good run.

At least now she can rest early and prepare for the next tournament.
Hopefully she can start another winning streak there.
Yes, Alex lost to Bencic and so with that, her magical run has ended in the Canadian Open, and so is half-Pinay L. Fernandez. It could be that her injury might have affected her in this match. Nevertheless, it's not an excuse as Bencic really putting in a show.

Cincinnati Open is next if I'm not mistaken. And the organizers has given her a bye in the first round. So we can only hope that she can start another winning streak and make women's tennis more famous. Osaka also advances and so she will be one of the favorites together with C. Gauff.

Sabalenka will bounce back for sure, lets see the nect WTA 1000. A lot of upset in the round of 16 in Toronto WTA.
IN a couple of weeks Cincinnati OPEN WTA 1000 will start and expect lots of player to be better, Even Pegula is out  at 16, maybe she is tired from DC Finals.

Bencic vs Gauff is next and then Osaka vs Rybakina. So it's very tough game to bet, but if I will have to choose then I will go with two of my favorites in Gauff and Osaka.  Gauff has a head to head edge against Bencic and so she is the obvious slight favorite. While the Osaka vs Rybakina is like 50/50 as per odds.

Swiatek is already thru in the semis  and it looks like Iga is in form in this tournament. She will be facing Svitolina in that bracket. Un-rank D. Merida Aguilar is the surprising entry on the men's side and he will be facing Tien in the quarter-finals.

Im guessing Gauff and Rybakina will both advance to the semis, then maybe we will see Iga and Gauff in the finals, with Gauff winning it.

I might just make a parlay on these games so I can get better odds. The one I'm most confident with is Gauff.
I'm also rooting for Rybakina, but that match is more risky for me because I can also see Osaka beating her.

Yeah, you were right, Gauff and Rybakina are both in the semis. Gauff had the easier journey though since Bencic withdrew because of a hip injury.

I dont know exactly when Bencic got that injury, maybe it already started during the Eala match and affected her there as well. Too bad because a Gauff vs Eala rematch would have been interesting. Anyway, we should still get a good finish to the tournament. Gauff vs Rybakina already feels like a finals-type match to me.

I predicted it right. Tomorrow the semis will be early morning in my timezone, and I definitely dont want to miss betting on this one. If I would make a parlay, I think I will go with Iga and Rybakina. Gauff is the favorite, but I still like Elena at those odds.

Here are the odds for tomorrow:

[1] Gauff 1.72 vs Rybakina 2.00
[2] Svitolina 2.83 vs Iga 1.38

You guys are right, it's going to be Coco Gauff vs Rybakina. Contrasting game though, as Coco Gauff didn't break a sweet as Bencic withdraw from the match with a reported hip injury (one of the worst for a tennis player).

While I thought that it will be Osaka moving forward to the semis as she won the first set then goes on to lead 4-2 in the second set. But Rybakina come back strong breaking Osaka and forcing a tiebreak. And in the final set, she save 4 break points before breaking Osaka again and that's it for Naomi.

So it will be Gauff vs Rybakina and then on the other bracket, Swiatek vs Svitolina. Solid semi finals for the womens. It could be Gauff vs Swiatek for the Canadian Open.

Congrats on that parlay win. Yes, it will be Rybakina and Iga in the finals.

This is really an interesting match, the current No. 2 and No. 8 in the rankings.

If Rybakina wins, I think she will get very close to Sabalenka, although she still cannot replace her at No. 1 yet.

Another thing that makes this match interesting is the odds. In my bookie, Iga is the slight favorite at 1.73 while Elena is at 1.99. Hmm, I'm a bit confused with that, what could possibly be the reason?

Maybe Iga has just been playing really well in this tournament. Sometimes the odds are not really based on ranking alone. I remember when Eala played Bencic, I think Eala was even a slight favorite although their rankings were not that close. So for this final, may the best player win. I think Iga definitely has a good chance, but personally I want Elena to win.

Congrats on those who bet on Rybakina, I thought that Coco will continue her run as she previously bet Rybakina here last year. Coco won the first set, but Rybakina comes back strong with a score of 6-2.

As for Iga, she is playing in form here that's why she is the slight favorite. But then again, we all know that it's very hard to predict the women's side. Even if someone is the favorite, there will be games that the underdog might pull a upset.
