Honestly, I'm not really watching those doubles games, I'm more into singles and I know Alcaraz will make his journey there. By the way, did you see the game, how was he? Did Alcaraz still look the same? He was coming from injury, so hopefully he's already close to 100%.
He grew a new hairstyle which seems alright kinda like Nadal's look and his performance seemed fine though it's too early judge since his solo campaign hasn't begun yet. Honestly, Zverev could be the only one to trouble him in this tournament.

I think Alcaraz is ready or he wouldnt be here in the US open so its possible that he is ready for this tournament. The main problem for him is that he didnt play much last few months and this will surely have effect on his gameplay. I think that he wont be able to defend it,but still has a good chance with Sinner not playing. So i think anyone can take the US open this year.
In the Sincaraz era, one of these two almost always end up winning the slams thanks to which I earned decent money betting on these 2 in recent years. Women's side is unpredictable as usual though.

Alcaraz-Williams got knocked out in the mixed doubles quarter finals. Alcaraz's path to defending his US Open title starts soon.

Didnt expect this duo to get knocked out but i guess they just wanted to have some fun like djokovic and sabalenka did. I think Alcaraz is ready or he wouldnt be here in the US open so its possible that he is ready for this tournament. Maybe this will be an opportunity for Novak to win his 25th Grand Slam, what do you think? After all, as you said, Sinner isn't playing, Alcaraz hasn't played for a long time and it will take him a little while to get back into form. Of course, there are many good players here, and honestly, i expect some surprises.

And maybe not! failed at the first hurdle...

He really fancied his chances but got knocked out last night by Navone.

Its time to quit, getting sick on court, slipping and getting injured, crying - this is what
people remember. Better to pull the plug and retire on a positive vibe.

Djokovic already achieved a whole lot more than many other Tennis players and is easily one of the best for sure, but he really needs to give up before he embarasses himself even further. Dude should have retired long ago like Nadal, Fed etc.

On the other hand, the Williams sisters returned and went without making any impact in different slams. Smh! These legends should just stick to simple exhibition matches like Federer, Agassi etc.

Roman Safiullin, who broke into the top 100 with his performance at Wimbledon, will face former champion Carlos Alcaraz in the first round of the U.S. Open. Carlitos is a bit rusty after a four-month injury layoff. Safiullin is also a player who has beaten him in one of their two previous matches. I don’t think it will be a huge upset, but Safiullin does have a chance to give Alcaraz at least some trouble.

From what i can see, you could barely wait for Novak to lose. I don't know why you dislike Novak so much, or is it hard for you to accept that he is the best tennis player ever, or are you jealous that one of your favorites will never be like him. People certainly won't remember how he cries or how he slipped. People will remember maybe how he lifted the Australian Open 10 times, and maybe how he "ate grass" 7 times at Wimbledon, and so on, so i won't list everything now. I hope he keeps playing, because when his stubbornness kicks in, i am convinced he will win that 25th one too.

Former? Incorrect. He is the current US Open champ and decimated Safiullin across straight sets as expected thanks to which I won my bet easily. This is the Sincaraz era where Sinner and Alcaraz are in another league when compared to all others.

Injuries slow them down here and there, but they tend to bounce back pretty quickly. In other news, Sabalenka, Swiatek, Osaka etc moved forward pretty comfortably and my GOAT(Federer) was inducted into the Hall of Fame with a classy ring.

I think this is the first time Djokovic lost in the first round of the US Open. Looks like age is really catching up with him now. He is already 39, and we can see that physically he is not the same anymore, especially in long matches.

As for the women, I haven’t watched Venus Williams much lately, but at her age it is already expected that making a deep run will be difficult.

The one getting most of the attention now is Alex Eala. Her first-round match is tomorrow morning here in the Philippines, and I read that resale ticket prices almost doubled after her match schedule was announced, from under $200 to nearly $400. That really shows how popular she has become.

Hopefully she can make a good run here.

I love Djokovic really much, but this was really bad from him he even puked on the field and that is the first time that happened to him. I think that Djokovic either needs to change his tactic because of his age or just retire. He has won everything and now to keep losing against such big underdogs is shamefull.

Woah! Zverev almost lost against Sonego in the first round itself just like Djokovic earlier, but survived the scare somehow. World Number 1 falling in the 1st round itself would have been a shocker for sure. Sonego put up a really good fight for sure.

On the other hand, Gauff along with Eala cruised through to their next rounds while Osaka struggled quite a bit to reach the next round. US Open 2026 heating up!

He still feels like he has so many things to offer in the game, he would be the one to decide when he is going to retire from the sports, especially when you love the game you will want to keep playing, he has achieved everything he knows that he can achieve in the sports, so I don’t see anything such as embarrassment he is obviously a good player and a legend of the sport, we as the lover of the sports and I’m a huge Djokovic supporter I don’t just want him to retire just yet, I want to keep seeing him playing, his body is going to tell him to retire, most of the Nadal and Federer, Andy Murray that retired was because they were not healthy anymore, they were getting injured, which lead to their retirement from the Sport.

Yes, again, Alex proved that she deserves the ranking up to 17 if I'm not mistaken. But this is just the first round so it might be a easy as a breeze for this top player. I've seen some posts that she might be in collision with Coco Gauff and then it's get tougher.

But then again, it's just the first round, so we shall see if she can continue her magical run in the US Open.

Next for her is Ukrainian Oleksandra Oliynykova. Highest ranking is 44th.

That was an easy win for her, and the fans who went there probably didn't regret it because they got to see a big win from Alex.

Her next opponent doesn't look like a major threat based on ranking, and every time she plays the crowd is always there to support her. Tickets will probably get more expensive as she goes deeper in the tournament, and every win also means more prize money for her. That's already a big amount when converted to Philippine pesos, hehe.

Who knows, maybe she will surprise us and reach the finals. That would be huge for Filipino fans.  Cheesy

With so many great players there, reaching the finals is still too ambitious. But with that win, Eala is now around rank 16 I guess, and as she continues to win, her ranking will keep improving. As per reports, she already earned around ₱10 million from her last result. So every additional win means more prize money for her, and the amount will just keep getting bigger as she goes deeper in the tournament.

I want to keep seeing him playing, his body is going to tell him to retire, most of the Nadal and Federer, Andy Murray that retired was because they were not healthy anymore, they were getting injured, which lead to their retirement from the Sport.
You realise that you are contradicting yourself here and sound really stupid here, don't you? Djokovic hasn't been healthy for a long time now which is why he should have retired eons ago just like other greats(Federer, Nadal etc). His puking scene says everything. Think!

I really need some help with tennis picks this week.  Anybody have any sure things let me know.  I don't even need good odds, I just need a win.  Been getting absolutely killed betting on tennis matches this week.  Somebody help with some picks!

I do think I'm going to turn to AI, but if I could get some insight from real folks on this thread, all the merrier.  Bring on the gambling wins!
Stick to men's tennis predictions and stay far away from women's tennis predictions which is my primary piece of advice to you.
