It should appreciate over a very very long time horizon, however, there is inherently speculative value in the price currently. If you want to use Bitcoin for many of the things it is exceptionally good at, then you should buy some. If you want to get rich quick, you probably aren't approaching it correctly.
Essentially Bitcoin has great value so long as the value is non-zero, thereby allowing trustless wealth transfer. This has the potential to unlock a large amount of economic value for a lot of the world, particularly the unbanked. Compared to the current economic system it makes a lot more sense. Buying a small amount is a vote for a better world and buying a part of the future. It will always be there, the train always moving forward slowly. When you choose the get on is up to you, but I wouldn't bet on getting rich quick.

Everything depends on what you think can happen for bitcoin.

My position is to go and buy. What you should do? It`s up to you. Just my recommendation is do not put all money you have into it. Bitcoin price is hardly predictive. You will easy find number of prediction how it fail and how will grow. I belive that for long time investment is worth to try.

but if you don't like earning a good buck, invest in some weird stock or fund.

If you are able to buy then yes it is worth it. Especially if you're going to invest into bitcoin and will be holding for a long term, by long term I mean at least 1 year. That's when you'll get the most profits out of. If you can afford it right now to buy, I would.

Buying bitcoin must be a good idea until 2100 year too. So, it is not late to buy bitcoin. Someone had mentioned here that "Late adopter of bitcoin yet to born". So, we are good enough to buy one bitcoin now also. Those who bought just 2 months back would be in profit of more than $100. |

How safe is it?
Safe is 0%. If you believe that Bitcoin will have a great value in the future (something like 2000-5000$) buy 1 BTC, if you think that price will drop 0$ don't invest. It's simple, but you have to believe in your opinion. |

Some times it might be very tempting to sell your coins when you have seen the price go up around 10%. I am happy that I can control my self to not sell anything. I look at the long term value. Every profit you take right now is small compared to when you hold on to your coins for at least 2 more years. |

Buying 1 bitcoin today and selling it in 10 years is a no brainer.
The chance you can sell it for a lot of profit is logical and therefore I for 1 are buying bitcoins with my spare money.
Not all of it, but on a 10:2 ratio.

Investing in bitcoin can be risky iwould say not to buy bitcoin right now because we have no clue what lies ahead for the bitcoin I suggest wait for the big announcement to happen later next year and then make a decision on your own looking carefully on all the risk factor and also the price and the market of bitcoin is over bought as everyone expect the impact of the news to be good so bold that thought.
