Watching the Bulls game right now. Its great seeing them actually have a team that is competitive with a legitimate future. I know they aren’t winning any championships this year or anything but they are on their way to being able to have a team good enough to attract a mega star.

That's true, at least they'll improve this season and they still maintain to be a defensive team.
DeRozan, Ball, and Caruso are the major addition to this team, with their experience especially DeRozan, he can help this team to be more competitive in the playoffs. I am optimistic that they'll make it to the playoffs this season although other teams have already improved as well.

They are showing that this team has got the potential and can be a tough team to defeat in future. Yes they are a very competitive team, they may or may not win but I think they can make to the playoff of this season and give a good fight to its opponents.

Kemba is not the same anymore, even during his time with the Boston Celtics, he is already inconsistent and that's the reason why he was traded to the Knicks which I think he would do well as there's not much pressure on him compared to when he signed with the Celtics where he was coming from a team that he always leads. Celtics traded him because they weren't satisfied of Kemba's performance, but let's hope we will see the old Kemba in NYK.

Being traded means the player is a dead weight to the team especially when his salary is big enough to acquire young players with potential to grow. Kemba Walker performance is very impressive when he was rookie but this started to slide after a couple of years without any improvement and competition from new players that entering NBA with potential. It's very rare for an old prime player to overcome this period of career low especially on his position. Maybe joining on low tier team can improve his career stat just like what other players did and wait for a star player to carry that team.

So much true, Kemba was a prolific young talent as a rookie. But as the years passed on, not saying that he started playing worse, but there were other young talents better than him. Last season was somewhat ok for him as he scored an avg of 19 points a game and as a point guard that's quite good in my eyes. Let's see how he does with the Knicks.

I'm not expecting as well a championship contender with the likes of Bulls this time but seems they are more decent team and more likely to reach the playoffs. I think Heat was the competitive one on the East this time around just next to the Bucks and Nets of course but I'm expecting a competitive Hawks too this season, they are the young guns and more the Dark Horse on the East.

I still have doubts with Randle that may ruin the Knicks team. I saw him at the crucial moments trying to take the outside shot for a winning moment even though it's Fournier who has the free space. That could have been an unselfish move if he passed it and he will still have half the credit for it. At the end he missed it and I am sure they will look at the replays even though they won the game. He has to learn more and being a team player is part of that.
I have this bad feeling that soon, the Knicks problem will be that everyone is trying to be a star and co-players being a threat to reach that instead of a team.
Sound pessimistic but that is how I see it. It's mostly the issue for a young core team.

That's very important, give the ball to the open man, but we can also say that he thought he can make it as his height he is an advantage and he is also a good 3 point shooter. In the regular season, it may not be noticed a lot but in the playoffs, every wrong move could have a big effect on the outcome of the game and we saw those mistakes from Randle in the past playoffs.

He needed to adjust and start to show that he's willing to work with anyone to win the game.
This is where LeBron was criticized (not a king fan)but it's a matter of trust and good working relation with your teammate.
Fournier is free and has hot hands.
letting him to take the last shot might send them to a win without going to OT.
Forget about it, they already won the game. What they need now is to continue working together to solidify the team. Congrats!

^ This type of plays should be highly criticized and he needs to learn from these types of mistakes. These types of mistakes can cost them a match. He needs to be more unselfish when he's playing. Fournier was clearly free and was he should have passed the ball. Yes, they eventually won the game but what if it was a crucial shot that decides the fate of the match? Maybe he would not have been so much criticized if he hadn't missed the shot but he should make better choices in regards to passing or shooting the ball.

It was a total overhaul from last year, and they added solid players around Lavine.

Good win for them, they also covered the spread today against the Pistons so for sure many happy campers today.

Absolutely, and I think Zach Lavine is on his way to being a superstar.  He's been very very good, but I'm not sure he was quite at superstar level, but I think he'll be making that jump up. Love this quote from him about last nights game "This ain't last year. We're looking forward now," LaVine said of the revamped Bulls, who also added Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso to the roster. "It's a whole new team. A whole new mindset. So, I'm excited that we grinded that one out. A win's a win."

That's why he was traded to the Celtics last year because his value is going down. And true, when he was in Celtics uniform, his performance is below to what we expect of him. And then he got injured near playoffs if I'm not mistaken and he was a non-factor as the Celtics was eliminated in the first round. He might be in a good team this year, but I'm not sold on him playing like his days on Hornets, I think that day is over now because of the wear and tear on his body.

I don't see the same thing.  Yes last night evan got hot late but Randle is a great closer, proved it time and time again last year.  EF is not going to get every last shot, and if you watched the game Randle was taking his shots but at the same time was dishing it out when needed.  The ball movement last night was never an issue.  There was no iso or me ball out there.  Randle played his ass off.  They know they live and die with Randle on the floor.  Without him they are meh.  Dude dropped a hard 35 points.

But there can only be one winner and NYK bench was the key, specially Fournier, ex-Celtics who scored 32 in 44 minutes. Can't underestimate the NYK I would say, they have upgraded their lineup this season already as they needed that because they failed last season's playoffs, but despite that, NKY from a shitty team going to the playoffs last season was a huge improvement. We are not going to see an overnight success but the way I see it, NYK is going to be a consistent playoffs team in the long run as long.

I think players were given too much power in the past years and Ben took it even further in my opinion. I don't know how negotiations went down between the team and his agent but his actions most likely influenced any potential trade to break.

Sixers lost an opportunity in the last trade window so they're taking it out on Ben too.

Spurs beating Magic by this much is not an indication that Spurs will be awesome this year. I am a big Spurs fan and I have watched SAS games for nearly 20 years now and I can tell you that we have great players but not "this" great players, they are youngsters who will be working hard to improve themselves, not superstars.

This was an odd game where everything clicked for us, but if you watch carefully all the threes we had were open because we like to get inside and people let us shoot instead. All in all this team is a 30-35 win team at the very best case, anyone who thinks that we could go back to our usual 50+ win each season ways will be wrong, I love Spurs and I would die for Pop, but the team is not there yet.

Joel tried to reach out if I'm not mistaken but he ignored. Having cheerleaders will make him softer and he doesn't need that. It's clear that he wants out that badly but to say he's bullied is kinda funny. Is he still a baby? The guy is a grown up and a professional athlete with a multi-million contract with the team. I'm pretty sure he understood what he signed up for. He tried to act tough and still trying to but eveyone's probably tired of his attitude.

I think the opposite.  What would your boss do if you threatened and turned your back on his organization.  Good for Philly, if I owned a team I'd do the same thing.  Players have been getting too much power in saying exactly where they want to go and what they want to do after a team offered you $200 million for 4 years to play a game you happen to love.  Ben gets what Ben gets at this point.  All other players, u on notice.

For me, it's not. He's been in the organization for a long and even one of the influential, part of decision-making, and possibly future franchise players there but will be bullied? He didn't get down. He should be the one expected to lift the spirit of his teammates and not the other way around as one of Sixer's superstars and top players.

Simmons is even willing to be traded but the Sixers can't find a good trading package since the team wants a better trade thinking Simmons is a valuable player.

The organization should not treat him as a baby. If a player wants to go out, trade that player immediately as it's not healthy anymore to keep that player in the roster.
