I wonder if he can play even a full quarter on NBA regular season especially against hard core big man like Giaanis, Jokic and Embiid. He even struggling on summer league. I think his comment is just to boost his morale since people is expecting a lot on him while he can't display a very dominant performance to carry his teammates.

Victor's comment sounds a bit cocky, considering he only played 2 games in the summer league. As I see it, summer league games and regular season games are completely different things, and it makes no sense to compare them. As for whether Victor can play against other big guys, I think he will have a hard time in the paint because guys like Jokic and Embiid weigh a lot more than Victor, and they will probably dominate him.

His eyes are still close when it comes to the reality inside the NBA, it will be more believable if those comments came from Nikola Jokic or Giannis Antetokounmpo. But since the comment came from a kid who just played two mere games in the summer league and just got drafted this summer, it's still too premature for him to give that since he haven't got the experience what it feels like if you play in normal games inside the normal season.

Now, after this comment, I know coach Pop didn't liked it and because of that comment, it will be safe to say that some of the players in the league will target him to open his eyes about the reality. So, to you Victor Wembanyama, good luck to your rookie days.

He shouldn't have said that before he experienced the regular season, especially the playoffs and crucial minutes in the NBA. A mere two games in summer league is very different from the regular season where the best players are in. I don't even think he can lift the Spurs to get a playoff spot. They can still use the small ball line up but as stated its good to have another alternative if their small ball line up will not work.

If we recall their performance in the playoffs, they were dominant in the paint due to their size advantage. However, their main issue was their poor shooting from the outside, particularly from the 3-point line, during the playoffs.

It feels like a new milestone for the Basketball fans in the Philippines and they have been waiting for him to wear that Jersey and play like a real NBA player even though it's just a summer league. Maybe he cannot reach to play in the real NBA game this upcoming season due to a lack of ability and skills to do so because his teammates are way more advanced than him this time and he is lucky to have such experience to play in this league despite of his lack of skill currently. there are still lots of room for improvement and maybe when he gets the right skills that some teams in the NBA need, they will sign him in the future.

But at least he provide some quality numbers even though he only have limited minutes inside the court so most provably that they might think that if they give him more minutes he can produce more. But I think this is just a one game and magic officials or other NBA scouts might find that not enough to sign him on their team. Coach Pop will not do anything that can harm the future image of the Spurs franchise, they will do everything they can to take care of him so that he will not suffer any serious injury in his rookie years. They might not able to help him at all times but at least they are trying to figure out what is best for him while only acquiring experience and playing in the safe side in the same time, although that might be tricky, they have no choice as of now because they just cannot let Victor play a full quarter as that will be too risky.

Players expect to get paid, so the team can expect performance and not some diva behaviour.  3 trade requests in 3 years, when will teams finally wake up and give him a minimum contract, he is not worth the trouble in my eyes.

If you look at the history of NBA, there are only few teams that won a back to back championship, so last season the teams like the Lakers who are struggling could be better next season because they will try to improve their roster and I'm sure can do that as they have a good learning experience.

The Nuggets have all the skills and a good roster that could win a championship again, but it's a long season, you know, injuries could be a hindrance to that.

I believe that he can command anybody if the players of the same roster are still seeing his capabilities but that is not the case because James Harden has become unpredictable, nobody would want to follow someone if they are not displaying something to be a model for them, nobody can tell anymore when will he provide those good points to help the team because most of the time, his game night are so silent. In fact, the Denver Nuggets will be more dangerous in the upcoming season because they are now more experienced and much more mature to know what should they do in a certain instances, moreover, I got zero doubts that they can still claim the #1 seed in the Western Conference. Any team can take that place of course but that will not last long enough because the Nuggets will aggressively get what is rightfully theirs in their return to get the first seed.

I've seen the news about Clippers too. There's a pretty good squad there, I think Harden can play very well on a team like this. The Clippers are negotiating with a few more players, if they can continue to strengthen the roster, we will see a very good team in the Playoffs. A team that has a player who changed how NBA should be played have a much higher chance to win the championship and since that team is the Nuggets because they have Nikola Jokic, we can say that they can defend their title just right. It's just the same when the Golden State Warriors was on their highest, they too have changed the NBA especially with the arrival of Curry which completes the whole squad. But now, it's already different as their big three is somewhat old already and not expected to be on their best just like on their younger years.
