I read a news today but I'm not sure if it's true.
Oklahoma City Thunder player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will become the first NBA player in history to sign a $400 Million contract.

Source: CBS Sport

It's seems that NBA player is doing a catch up with football stars in terms of contract and salary. And we can't deny that SGA is really the franchise player for OKC now, we just hope that it's worth that money for the OKC management.

If only SGA is their big player, then it might be difficult for him to lift the team up. He needs help although they still have last year's rookie in Chet who hasn't seen any other yet because he got injured but he will be back this season.

SGA deserves to have a max contract as he had an MVP-worthy performance last season. He has improved remarkably fast, and his style of play involves his teammates, making them better. He is also clutch, so they can consider him their main star when negotiating the contract. I'm just hoping that OKC, as a team, will improve more next season. They already gained valuable experience last season, so perhaps they will perform like the Kings, who made it to the playoffs and posed a significant challenge to the defending champions, the Warriors.

Yeah, that's right. They reached the play-in tournament, and nobody expected it to happen since they are rebuilding and competing in the West, where most of the NBA contenders are located. SGA led the team to success, and now that they have experience, they'll learn from it. Next season, they will likely improve, especially if SGA receives that contract; for sure, he will be very inspired to play for his team.

I would also bet on the Warriors next season. With CP3 on their roster, it will not be hard for them to score, as he is one of the best passers in the NBA. CP3, along with Curry and Thompson, will likely create plenty of open opportunities for scoring, and Curry won't tire easily since he won't have to carry the ball all the time.

I'm not sure if they will play him as a starter, but if they do, that's my perspective.

I like that factor in how CP3 will help the Warriors, the Splash bro shooting capabilities can be maximized.

Knowing how good CP3 is in terms of finding the open man the best fit for the position
and adding to that, he is also a big threat when the opponent focus with him only passing
the ball as he can also shoot and have that good percentage making the basket. Looking
forward to the Warriors run in this upcoming season

I don’t know. I guess we’ll have to wait and see. I think Chris Paul will see the lowest usage rate of his career and at his age being inactive isn’t the best thing. While I think he will be big for them in the regular season and give the team a chance to win without Curry on the floor, I don’t think he’ll be able to hold up in the playoffs at his age. He isn’t LeBron.

I'm also one of those who doubt the effectives of CP3 in GSW. Besides, they are still undersized, they just can't win championship again with Kevon as their only center, he himself is also an undersized man in his position, I mean he's listed as 6'9. Though he grabs a good number of rebounds but I think he'd be more effective in his natural position. The Lakers exposed how to beat an undersized team last playoffs.
IMO, they still need to have a legitimate big man who can complete the starting five for the GSW, who can also play both defense and offense.
If they are able to acquire that player, I'd be comfortable to say that the GSW will have another good chances in winning another championship.

We don't know if how coach Kerr will adjust as I agree in terms of being undersize,

Though I think if Wiggins will be playing without any problem, they've still got that good core when they win the title
the last time, we can't conclude yet if how they'll going to perform but hopefully they'll be able to manage what they've
got and still be that competitive as how we expect them to be.

I’m not a big fan of his. I think a big part of the reason that his stats are so high is because he plays for a terrible team. He’s basically a Kemba Walker on the Hornets type of situation. Move him elsewhere and he may end up in the bench. Maybe that’s a bad take, but I was surprised his team did as well as they did. I don’t expect a repeat next season.

With that new deal, pretty sure Jason Tatum get his own version and it will be bigger than Brown unless he is willing to sacrifice millions of dollars in order for the team to save money. And there are also the other superstars that will demand higher pay once they are qualified for new deals.
They might tie it. That's the only possible way to keep the peace in the locker room. If they go beyond that, there will be not much room for roleplayers in their roster which means being a weak team by sacrificing most of their salary cap for just two All-Star players. Or, the other option is a rough path, paying the luxury tax so that they could gain more high-paid skillful players that will surround these two players.
National basketball player Onuralp Bitim, who made a name for himself with his performances in Anadolu Efes and Pınar Karşıyaka, signed a contract with the Chicago Bulls. I hope he can stay in the NBA. We are proud to see another young Turkish player in the NBA.

The good statistics in Bursa and European cups in the last season obviously attracted the attention of the scouts. Onuralp participated in the draft in 2021 but wasn't selected. He became the living proof that the NBA can be made without being drafted. I hope he will be successful there.

Very nice. I saw him just a little bit during the FIBA Eurobasket, I don't know what is the reason but he could've been a great help for the Turkey team.
Anyway, looking at his stats now in the EuroLeague, it is nice. 15 points per game and some rebounds and assists. A dude with a spring and with a good shooting form. I think the Bulls are trying to add more firepower. Let's wish his performance in the NBA will be much better just like most of the Euro players in the league.

NBA is a different tournament; some players who are good in the EuroLeague do not last in the NBA, so hopefully, he will be an exception. Personally, I don't follow the EuroLeague, so I would not expect much from him. I'm not riding the hype; this is the NBA, a big stage. I also hope he will be given more playing time so he can showcase his talent. The Bulls are not a playoff team as of now, despite having their big 3 as superstars, so let's see how he can help the team improve.

If he can somehow help the Bulls this upcoming season to gain more wins than lost, then he is one of the great steals in the NBA draft. The Bulls are not that bad and actually, they can fix their team through him if they consider giving him enough minutes to play and showcase his talent on the court. Well! if only the coaches are understanding enough to give each player their due on every game, no players will remain unimproved and each and everyone will gonna have their chance to greatly improve and prolong their career to stay in the NBA.

The Bulls have the talent, but injury problems have ruined their team. When Ball was playing great for the team, they already looked like a playoff contender, but then injuries happened, and he has been out of action ever since.

Yes, they still have a big 3, but I believe there is a chemistry problem inside the team, as rumors suggest that LaVine wanted to be traded. So, even if they add some good role players, as long as the chemistry is not fixed, I don't think the Bulls will be true contenders.

Yeah, it's very unfortunate that Ball got injured and no one in the Bulls was able to replace his ring generalship. Although a young Kobe White try to cover for him, it was not enough as he doesn't have the experience.

And as much as a Lavine and DeRozan tandem seems to be invincible, it's very clear that most of the time there are not clicking or not in the same page as far as offense goes. Really hard to see who will be the Alpha or the franchise player. There are games that DeRozan has hit like back to back back to seal the win for them last season. But after that, his game will go down and the Lavine will take over. But not enough for them to win enough games to be on the top of the East.

It sucks that injury ruined his young career and it seems that its hard for him to get back on his foot since his injury is so worse which even the doctor struggle to cure him. Maybe this injury can end his career since for sure Bulls cannot wait for him for many years to recover since its a waste of money for them if Ball cannot play until the end of his career. If he didn't get injured maybe the story will be different for them last season.

And that's why the Bulls management has applied for a designated player exception as he can't play and will be sideline the whole next season.

And it just reminded us of the case of another Bull player, DRose, who has a exception career with them until a injury ruin his career. Although he is still playing, he is no longer the same player after that injury and he was traded.

I read a news today but I'm not sure if it's true.
Oklahoma City Thunder player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will become the first NBA player in history to sign a $400 Million contract.

Source: CBS Sport

This rumor doesn't seem true. How can SGA sign such a big contract with the Thunder if he already has a $148 million contract that will expire after the 26/27 season? I don't know, maybe there are some contract extension options that will increase his current contract to $400 million, but it seems to me it doesn't make any sense for the Thunder management to spend so much money on just one player.

Hoping the same way too because a $400 Million max contract is truly a massive amount and would surely be a waste if SGA will not perform to the team's expectation in the upcoming seasons. But anyway, judging by how he performed last season and how he will perform next season because he is now more experienced, I know that he deserves to have that max contract. NBA is surely getting hefty these days.

His stats last season were very impressive.

31.4 PPG
5.5 APG

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/g/gilgesh01.html

I’m not a big fan of his. I think a big part of the reason that his stats are so high is because he plays for a terrible team. He’s basically a Kemba Walker on the Hornets type of situation. Move him elsewhere and he may end up in the bench. Maybe that’s a bad take, but I was surprised his team did as well as they did. I don’t expect a repeat next season.

These types of players stand out when the team is bad. They usually have high stats.
I also agree with you on this. SGA definitely can't do these stats on another team.

In Ball situation, the management already see the situation and they can't wait for him, that injury ruined Ball's and same with
DRose before he might be traded and be forgotten by this franchise.

The big difference is with the impact these two players provide for the franchise, but the ending of their careers seems to be in that same
pattern.

Not a playoff team if the current squad for the bull, but it's too early. We never know how they will going to run their campaigns
this upcoming season.

And with the recent hype that Kai Sotto that will be in the Golden State Warriors well, a lot of YouTubers are hyping Kai Sotto to be seen by the Golden State Warriors, well I haven't seen an official statement about this one but for sure we will see this whenever it happens,

Well, with the CP3 trade I really don't like this one, but for sure it is something that I think the Golden State Warriors have thought about not once but maybe twice already, well, for me even though I don't like this one, it is still a legendary trade to get for the Golden State Warriors and this trade will surely provide an additional mini super point guard for the Warriors,

Chris Paul will post as an Andre Iguodala kind of player, and yeah an exchange for Stephen Curry if he is tired of being injured, he is a 2nd unit for the main team I really think they will still search for players that may serve as their 2nd unit whenever they needed those players, now that the Poole party is no more, the CP3 Party is here,

I wouldn't say europeans who do well in euroleague do badly in NBA, that could be the case back in the day but not anymore. Look at Luka, won the euroleague MVP and now he is playing like an MVP at NBA too. Look at Giannis and Jokic, sure they came in when they were very young, but they became MVP's as well. So far Europeans are covering the best of NBA and I would say the best player of NBA has been European for at least 5+ seasons.

This made teams think maybe they can get some European players to help from the bench. Don't get me wrong, that kid looks like he is 24 years old already, he is not getting there for anything serious, it's a two way contract that can end any moment, so it's not really like this is the best case, but no harm in trying.

Yeah back in the day Euroleague to nba was a huge drop off.  Not so much anymore.  Basketball is global for sure now.  The most talent comes from the US still but that doesn't mean incredibly great players can't be had from overseas.  Amd you are right some of the top players are foreign to the US.
