Well, I'd like to see that happen. Maybe Embiid has his own reasons for not playing against Jokic.
But fans would love to see it. Two MVP caliber battling beneath the rim while being analyzed who is really better at that area. I agree, Sixers are not "that" far away from being a championship contender, they just needed to focus on making the team better and they could keep Harden that way. The problem is that Sixers told Harden to get a pay cut so they could get better players to surround him and Embiid in order to win a title, he agreed and then they got nobody. This is why there is a trouble and with Harden gone then why would Embiid stay. I am guessing that Harden will want out because he has been lied to, but if Sixers could manage to get some great players, then Harden could be turned to be happy, might be too late though. This is not a good idea for either side, nobody will get anything out of this.

Who did they think they were going to be able to get? It seems like suddenly the mood in Philly changed with Harden and Embiid wanting out, but they never really said who they were wanting to pick up. I’m not even sure what player would fit with them or who was available that they were wanting. Maybe a trade for Bradley Beal or Chris Paul? Any ideas?

We never know because right now, things are still messy that we cannot even understand what is truly happening inside the Philly because I think Harden's trade request is just the tip of the iceberg as there is a big possibility that Joel Embiid might want to get out too because he surely doesn't want to waste his season on a team that don't know what to do mainly now that the Philly's hands are tied and they certainly did not expected this to happen, at all, not this early.

And if we look at Harden's career though, he has history of asking for trade, so I wouldn't be surprised if he is actually asking it or the news is real. And maybe Philly is caught off guard with this request and not it's become messy as the name of Joel also resurfaces. So it could be true or not, we will never know until it's became officially or someone drops the news to us, someone close to Philly or even some players.

If trade talks will happen, from the articles that I've read maybe the Sixers will be the 3rd team to participate in the negotiations between the Portland and Heat because this trade as well is not even moving. But as I said, we never know what will happen next, let's just expect the unexpected.

Thanks for this news, I haven't read it. All we know is that Dame wanted out, that's the real deal and he wanted to go to Miami. But to be able to facilitate it, yeah, maybe they need another team like Philly to get involved in this blockbuster trade.

Might be but as we all know, owners will have to make promises, and players should take that as a grain of salt. I remember the Jordan Poole trade, Poole said that he was assured that he will not be traded by Dunleavy Jr. But in the next 12 hours, he was traded to the Wizards.

So that is a lesson that there is no absolute word in the NBA, it's business, the owner or the president of basketball for operations of a team will have to make the hard decision. And with that, Harden might be hurt by the promises and so he wanted to leave.

Players end up thinking they run too much in the NBA.  They've been given too much control of the process.  Theor job is to play basketball, it's the business side of the team to position the players how they see fit.  When players sign a contract for millions of dollars the owner can do whatever he wants with that player from there.  Ypu always here players surprised and say that it's a business in the end.  For these teams yeah it is lol.

NBA players just found a loophole to put the franchise in a short lease instead of the opposite where the players should be the ones chasing the teams in-order to play because they need them and that's their only chance to get paid with millions worth of contact, they'll be lucky if they will find any team. Pretty sure the first 2 games on the opening day will be sold-out. I will bet on Denver ML if it has a minimum of 1.50 odds. I believe they're pretty pumped to defend their title and they are also playing at home. The Lakers will let Bron and AD play but once the lead becomes wide I expect the team to not let their aging and sensitive stars play like there is no tomorrow especially since this is just a regular game.

Maybe the Warriors are still a dark horse team but personally, I am not seeing them as a potential championship team. It will be a shame though if the big 4 of Phoenix goes home empty-handed.

What kind of reasons could Embiid have for not playing against Jokic? If you look at his stats over the last 5 years, you'll note that Embiid plays an average of 60 games per regular season. In other words, he misses an average of 22 games, and it's highly suspicious that he misses exactly when the 76ers should be playing against the Nuggets. So I think the speculation that Embiid is ducking Jokic is reasonable.

Nothing that he can do for now. The deal was done, and he has been traded. That issue with Green influence it the most for sure, even there's no clear update about what happened.

That's a big claim and hope Harden isn't serious about it. He maybe want to get out at Sixers but I didn't think that it will come to this claim, that's totally a bold statement. I think it is not going to be a mistake to say that Apple is one of the biggest companies in the world, it’s not the biggest. I think only Google can actually give them a competition.

Apple is definitely going to be bigger if they successfully buy Espn. The stock market is also going to see some new investors in my opinion.
