Yeah but it aint the 80s anymore to get scared about contacts. You can see how soft the NBA became and referees are getting used to it. Calling fouls with acts and slight slaps or hand checks. Even a skinny guy can penetrate the paint now and wont hurt himself. Worse the defender will be the one who gets an injury.
There are teams who played good defense and their are teams who aren't, good way to explain is defense and offense oriented team. Lin can penetrate but if you will put a bigger guy on him, he won't be able to have a good playing night as he is not as good as the real superstar. This is just my personal view, I have love on this player as well during the Linsanity but as it goes longer, it makes me disappointed. No, he can always use his speed with a bigger guy. Why are we having this kind of assumption from him? Because we are not seeing him play that much anymore. As I said from my first statements about him. He needs the minutes to showcase his ability again. His injuries are not so serious unlike the injury of Kobe and maybe some other players who really affected their usual play. The only thing that Lin is needed is playing time, of course he can still play with more playing time but if the coach would not give you that, you can't do anything about it since they believe there are more players that are deserving.
There are some jealous players but that's normal in the world of business since it's a big competition on who will get that big payroll.
That is my point. Average kind of players when injured are being underrated. While superstars are given a chance even if it takes years for them to come back. The unfair wind is blowing in the NBA management and the odor is disgusting for so many times.

It should be different because team owners are looking to be profitable in this business and star player whether he gone through injuries as long as he came back, that would again draw more crowd the team will remain popular. Looking at the business side, the team creates profit from people who will watch the game and people will come to see the star of the team, just like Kobe when back from injury, the support of the fans does not change because he was able to bring success to the team when he was still at its peak or when he was still fully healthy.

So another NBA player has left the league and join another. Lance Stephenson will be joining the Chinese Basketball Association. The guy must have thought it's better to get paid more than chasing a NBA title and get paid less.
I guess this is going to be on trend and other players that doesn't see some good opportunity within the league will also move to other continents to be adopted by their local basketball league. They have family to feed and the exposure they are getting is lesser than what they used to get on other leagues. Good for him, this will also consider that Jeremy Lin is looking forward to go with the CBA. It's already been a trend for years now, players who didn't land a team will go somewhere else, and then they know that ex-NBA bring fans to watch them so definitely, a win-win situation for Lance here, not much money but at least they can continue on their career and still be well loved by basketball fans.

For Jeremy if he still loves the game then working with CBA will be fitted for him, showing his talents from his local fans will add the adrenalin for him if he still really wanted to try to comeback or if he still wants to continue playing, he's not getting any younger so this options will gives enough time for him to continue practicing his skills and seek for another opportunities being eyed by scouts bringing him back to NBA. Right, he should showcase his talents in local land and not just focus on the NBA. Also Jeremy is a Harvard graduate which give him a higher advantage in the field of his course. Not only NBA can give fortune but also what he has studied in that precious University.

Kobe is different. He had been a Lakers for almost his entire career and that is achilles injury which happens mostly for those who worked hard in their career. Let us make Durant as an example which also have an achilles injury by now. Yes he is one of the great players out there. But there is no loyalty unlike Kobe. So taking him have a higher risk than what happened with Kobe. For the Lakers if Kobe doesnt come back then it will be like a thank you gift for a lot of championships. But Durant? Will you really risk 35 million USD for someone who could not play and maybe not play anymore in his entire career.

I was delighted with the change of team Chicago Bulls . There is a lot of talk around Satoransky, who played for three years for “Washington Wizards,” but despite his successful performances, his career could not have developed in this team. Now he joins the young Bulls backbone, where a very specific and promising continent has gathered.
It will be a test for him whether to develop more of his skills and show something so fans will noticed him, with how the market for all this players they needed to showcase everything that they've got in order to stay inside the league and not be forgotten since there's a lots of individuals star caliber players to compete with.

Although he's not comfortable with it, he will consider it. Jeremy Lin, although a pure American born citizen, will never escape the shadow of being an Asian. I don't have any evidence to support my claims aside from his poor performance why no teams now in the NBA wants to sign him but he is an ASIAN and it means.... Comparing Lin's age at 30s and his position, there are other NBA players in the league which is way weaker and has a low average stats compare to Jeremy Lin but still able to sign with other teams and happily enjoying a good salary even with limited playing time. Is it really because of performance? age? competition? that's why no team from 82 teams aren't showing interest for this guy?

I don't want to think of other reason aside from his poor performance because we can't justified that, Yao Ming is an Asian and he played many seasons in the NBA, I hope this is just all about business and nothing more personal like discrimination.

Name the free agents that were signed this year playing the same position that are way weaker or has lower average than Jeremy Lin then maybe we can make a better analysis.

It looks to me that everything is based on performance. Yao Ming is different though, nothing to do with race, its just his body didn't hold up, knees keeps falling him so he decided to quit even though to us fans he has a lot of basketball years ahead of him. NBA players are improving in the last 10 years so more likely Jeremy didn't have the tools right now to stay on the high level of playing.

Too much discussion for Lin, I think we should move on and discuss the latest significant news in the NBA.

To end it though, his stats are bad because there are no playtime minutes given to him. Let us just see if some team will risk it. How would you know someone plays bad if you havent even seen him play again? Even with little salary he might take it, I do think this guy really love playing in the NBA. His will is different with other players. Vince Carter still want to sign with a team. Hawks are giving him a warm welcome if ever he wants to sign with them again. Patrick Patterson to sign with Clippers after receiving buyout from Thunder Adrian Wojnarowski Oklahoma City and forward Patrick Patterson have agreed to a buyout on the final season of his contract, allowing him to become a free agent, league sources tell ESPN.

Oh, The Atlanta Hawks is reserving him a spot, for real. However, Carter is not showing any interest, at least "for now". This past couple of season, he joined rebuilding teams such as Sacramento Kings and last season, the Atlanta Hawks. Is he targeting another rebuilding teams? 2019-20 might be his last season. As for me, I'd rather seen him retired in Toronto Raptors' jersey.

There are many talents in the NBA and mostly Americans, so I guess those agents from different teams will give priority to their own talents than those foreign ones. If you are a foreigner and you will not exceed other talented american players then expect nothing less than being a junk in that league. Afterall it all comes down to business.

Do discrimination still exist in the NBA? I hope it's not the reason and i tend to believe too that it's business decision. When Yao Ming is still active in the Rockets roster, they got fans from Asia specifically on China because of him and it's good for the team and the NBA as well.

It depends if you have a skill like the legendary Ginobili and Parker but if you played like most of the average local players then you're out. the most recognizable thing about those unique players is their hard work and willing to improve themselves. if they don't meet these criteria then they cannot expect to be hired by the NBA TEAMS.

Raptors deserve that, he was very popular in Toronto Raptors back then and Raptors was his first team in the league. Also, I think it would somehow give some good news in return as Leonard departed from the championship team, we don't expect Carter to help a lot but it would help attract more fans to watch the game.

Yeah, I also don't see any discrimination at all. If I am on the head management of the team, there's a certain point in my mind to also think of trading Lin or the worst case is to abandon him because of his performance. What did he contributed on the finals? Almost none AFAIR! Even VanVleet made a greater performance than him. For me he was just overrated. With his current state I will not be surprised if he will left NBA forever and just play in the Asian region. After doubts, Melo confident he wants to playWhat do you think guys? Hmm, very hard to tell right now because the news which are spreading are only rumors, some even told that he will go to Lakers. Anyway, here is the list possible teams he can play with.

I'm starting to see Jeremy Lin version on the case of Melo. There would be teams that are going to adopt and low ball him since he's looking desperate to land for another team. According to him, he can provide leadership within a team, you thoughts?
IMHO, he's better to be managed by others or go under others umbrella rather than lead a team.
