So Carmelo Anthony also turned down by the Team USA? He tried to join but denied. It will completely make him feel more down plus the status he is facing this free agency. The reason why does make sense and I agree to that. He will just destroy the momentum of the current Team USA lineup. Should now serve a lesson for Melo to changed his behavior. He only has few seasons to go before hanging his jersey. Why just now he is determined to get back on the stage. Looks like he surely thinks that NBA teams will always seek for his service but turned out negative. CARMELO ANTHONY WAS TURNED DOWN BY USA BASKETBALLYeah. Just like the good old Vince Carter. Still staying strong despite the injuries that happened to him which almost ended his career. Melo really got some mental issues that he cannot went through. While Carter is like the opposite of him with a happy ending despite no rings in his fingers. Melo needs a lot of skills to showcase before the league scouts will be intrigued to him again. Better work it out now. Words will not help him. Vince Carter was loved more than Carmelo Anthony. I dunno but perhaps Vince was simply more lovable than Melo. Melo's light is now flickering. He's simply running out of time. He's had his chances before and that was all. There is no more point showcasing a lot of skills now or in the coming season. He is getting old, mate. Time to pass the ball to the younger ones in the NBA. Some of the NBA superstar are living a lavish life that's why they can't afford to be out of contract, living a lavish life might not help them to save for unforeseen possibilities like not having a contract but I don't know about how Melo live his life but losing a job is one of the biggest hardships of being an athlete.

Maybe he was not as boastful as Carmelo during their pick. Plus Carmelo is expected to do more specially he is being compared to Lebron James. Melo may have some years left in him, but time is not on his side. If he really wanted to continue to play maybe NBA is not a perfect fit for me, he can try somewhere else.

Woops, didn't know about this. I feel bad for him and this does mean that he has to accept the decision made by Team USA.

Yeah and here is the thing, people of Toronto really want him back for his last dance. It is just that the management might want someone else rather than him. But to sum it up, he is still loved up until now. Where would Melo be dancing when his last year come up? Brian Scalabrine: Miami has four roster spots. And, they’ve got a lot of guys on low guarantees. Right there, there’s a need. If they want to do the development thing with young guys, I get it. But, that’s really not Miami’s forte. They like taking an older guy, like a Carmelo Anthony and saying ‘With our good culture, we’re going to turn him into what we feel like.’ I think Miami’s interesting … and because they’re lying in the weeds and you haven’t talk about it, I actually think there’s some traction there. I hope he do good here. He needs to be on fire every game. Something to really prove. Take the Heat to the playoffs or better the semis.

Like what skills exactly? He can shoot in the post or outside the arc. He also has good ball handle for a guy his size. Imo, he is still close to Lebron's abilities. The problem is probably his work ethics in the past and his ego.

They should be more professionals handling this kind of attitude as they are being paid to play their best, WB already have new teammates and if he's still chasing for the ring then partnering with Harden can give him a good chance to be more competitive, just need more dedication and lots of team plays.
I don't even know how will they play that. We all know how these two plays and I am really curious how will this team works in the upcoming season. A ball hogger and a record holder, oh yeah and there's Westbrook too that also wanting to get his stats the same.

The problem is probably his work ethics in the past and his ego. Defense, that's where he is lacking off. Initially though he can get away with it in his career because he is the main man and score points for the team. But if he wanted to contribute more then he should focus on this. Unfortunately, he let his ego run so I doubt that he can change his work ethics and play defense, plus he is not getting any younger.

WB is in a new team, he understands his role, he will not be like Melo that will not contribute to the team and will just remain to play the way he likes. Players of the Rockets are good shooters, Harden and Westbrook can both drive the floor and that will attract defense, that would mean it will make more open looks for the outside shooters, most likely that would be the plan that will be followed.

Unlike the Westbrook and Durant drama.
Hated that issue, if they just worked together well I think Westbrook already have his championship but well Durant has been wise and offered himself to the Warriors. Let's just forget about that, it was just an old issue and I'm pretty sure that those 2 have already move on, especially now that WB is already in other team and he has an MVP partner in the person of Harden which I believe they can form a championship team. They should be more professionals handling this kind of attitude as they are being paid to play their best, WB already have new teammates and if he's still chasing for the ring then partnering with Harden can give him a good chance to be more competitive, just need more dedication and lots of team plays. If they have attitude problem it's no longer the problem of the team. It's attached to their personality and its up to them to adjust whether they will or not. I don't want to think of something negative while haven't seen him play with his new team. There's more way to go for this superstar with another superstar, I hope this will build the team better this time.

One big reason why stars loses their job is because of their attitude, just like Allen Iverson if I'm not mistaken, he retired early in the NBA like the same age of Anthony. He played his last season in the NBA in 2009-2010 ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allen_Iverson).

Carmelo in Miami would be great, he would actually get some minutes and they would actually not care if he does what he does, they are already tanking and they do not really have any chance at the title so that means Carmelo could play like he always plays and nobody would mind.
Maybe jimmy would because he is a competitor but dude literally moved from a championship level team to Miami this off season so I am not entirely sure if he really wants to win, if he stayed at Sixers there was a good chance he make it to finals this year and he declined that to go play in Miami so I am assuming its just fun for him nowadays so he wouldn't mind Carmelo neither. I really hope someone gives him a contract, this version of Carmelo getting retired because nobody wants him is not something he deserves.

Carmelo in Miami would be great, he would actually get some minutes and they would actually not care if he does what he does, they are already tanking and they do not really have any chance at the title so that means Carmelo could play like he always plays and nobody would mind.
What That doesn't even make sense. Why would the Heat even want to pay a guy like Carmelo millions if they're tanking? Or are you saying they need Carmelo to drag them down even further?

Melo needs a lot of skills to showcase before the league scouts will be intrigued to him again. Better work it out now. Words will not help him.
Like what skills exactly? He can shoot in the post or outside the arc. He also has good ball handle for a guy his size. Imo, he is still close to Lebron's abilities. The problem is probably his work ethics in the past and his ego. What?! Close to Lebron? Did you really watched him play while he is on the Rockets team? Yes he could shoot the ball with a higher percentage. But being a star is to be unpredictable. He cannot just do that over and over again. When did you see him really agile again and penetrate the paint? Oh yes he did but what happened? Blocked twice. He is far away from Lebron or even who the hell is on the top 5 players. Make it 10. If he is, then he could have been offered so much when the free agency opened up. That is already a sign that he wont be any help anymore.

He must be kidding, Miami is a decent team, they almost get to the playoffs last season, if we are talking of the worse team here that could give him enough minutes, he should go back to his old team which is the NYK because they ended with the worst record of 17 (w) 65 (L).

Melo's never been closed to Lebron in terms of stats and performance even back in their prime or let's say a few during Denver Nuggets days. Try to compare their stats or just look at their average how far LeBron to Melo. Knicks days, OKC days, Rockets days - never been closed to Lebron. If you are pointing today, I don't know what factors you have based.

Yeah right, he should go back to NYK but I don't think he will sign again into that team coz we know melo only wants to have big bucks and not about playing time.
