As long as the medical staff charged to him will allow him to play then he should play. But I wish all the best on him for this season. If he has to take a rest, take a rest. It's a serious injury but if the medical professionals see his recovery well, why would they stop him to play? It's just about what he feels and what the doctors' findings about his condition.

As long as they say it will be Durant's decision by now. And the medical background should be real by now. Unlike with what happened with GSW medical team where they are being unprofessional into pinpointing the what the the injury of KD is. Looks like they have discovered something new to haste the process or there could be some medical equipment more advance in New York? I dont know. I am just speculating. But if they do, then it is a good thing. Kyrie will have an easy time to lead the team. It wont be Durant's decision, it will definately be the nets medical staff that will clear him. With injury like this athletes usually say they can play but if they went out full force they would end up getting injured again.

The nets gave him $100m+ contract, I'm sure they arent going to let a player say when they are hurt and not hurt after an Achilles injury. The medical staff will have to clear him to play before durant gets any say on if he plays or not, that's what the team medical staff is for.

Exactly, the management would be fool enough if they cannot protect their investment. They will clear Durant to play but it's not only up to them since Durant knows how he feel so they will consult Durant if he is already willing to play again. Durant is a star and we saw his dedication in this sport, so I think he is a warriors that would not feel a small pain to stop him, for sure we will see him playing again next season, prepare for that while we hope and pray that he will not be injured again, it's hard to witness a star player retire early because of major injury.

That's right. Durant's decision with regards to whether he play this season or not is vital for his health and for the team he's into. I don't think he will force to play despite the injury he's had.

Yeah they've invested that much to him and there will be a sure return to the management. They wouldn't waste a big amount if its necessary, I think he's already well and can play but not to the extent of his superior before.

Some trade rumors going on: Andre Iguodala will not be participating in the Memphis Grizzlies training camp. According to this report, both sides have a mutual agreement as Grizzlies is also pursuing for a trade. It looks like Andre is not willing to play for a non-championship contender. I want to see him in a Clippers uniform. Some news sources says Miami Heat is also considering trading for Chris Paul. I don't know who they are planning to give up but with Paul's contract, it's probably going to be two or three players.

That's true. Even Klay says, he loves the medial technology today, from surgery to the rehabilitation process. It hastens the recovery and cuts the usual time of recovery period. For let's say for a serious knee injury, from 12-15 months down 5 to 7 months after the surgery with proper medication and rest. For Achilles, maybe we just have to self-estimate how long the period since it also depends on the physical status of a player. It looks like Andre is not willing to play for a non-championship contender. I want to see him in a Clippers uniform.
From the start right he landed on the team, Memphis didn't have any plan to keep Iggy. Iggy knows that already and he is waiting for the move.

Paul will have more success if he will play with the Miami Heat, they don't have a star player anymore and I think Paul might also consider playing in a team. The OKC Thunder are now rebuilding, they would want a younger player in exchange of Paul as even if they will have Paul, it's not certain that they will be a playoff contender this coming season, Paul on the other hard could give a chance for the Heat to be in the playoffs as in the East, there's no much good teams compared to the West.

They have settled already and already looking to contend this seasons for a NBA ring. But we will see, if Clippers needs someone to defend, give them points when needed and of course the experience Iggy can bring to the Clippers squad.

Isn't it Miami just do sign for Jimmy Butler? I think Jimmy could be consider as a legit star. Miami doesn't have a young roster that could fit OKC's rebuilding in my opinion. Plus their young players are tie with huge salaries as well so I don't know how Miami can get away with that one. And if ever they do trade, will Butler and Paul click? I mean two players with large ego, we have seen it didn't last in Houston with Harden and Paul.

I think the problem really was James, he wants t lead the team when he is not clutch as Paul, IIRC, Lin also played with the Rockets and at that time, Lin was already considered as a star but they don't blend well, therefore I think that Harden does not want a star player to play with him. Now that Harden is with WB, let's see if I'm wrong, I'm really confident I am not. WB and Harden I think is not going to build a great chemistry.

We will eventually know soon, the fact that Iggy is not interested playing with the Grizzlies, he needs to be sent to other teams where he can showcase his talent.

That's why I'm saying that the final decision is with Durant, even if the medical team will clear him to play but he is still not confident yet, then its impossible for us to see him play. He knows his value as well and he is not new in receiving good salary, his projected salary with the Nets according to https://hoopshype.com/player/kevin-durant/salary/ is as follows. 2019/20 $37,199,000 2020/21 $39,058,950 2021/22 $40,918,900 2022/23 $42,778,850 As we can see, it's increasing, so he needs to become fully healthy again to enjoy that increasing salary.

They have Butler and a good coaching staff. The East is not that huge by now. They might have a chance if they just can that playoffs spot. Gianis Bucks is one of the strongest and there is Celtics and Brooklyn. We could say accurately that those three spots will be taken. Miami aint that bad. They still have a great roster. But it will be a difficult path. There is Indiana which is building a good chemistry and so does the Pistons.

Of course his last team is ring contender. He doesn't want his talent or remaining years in NBA to be in non-champ team. If I were iggy, I would do the same, you don't want to get cheaper and cheaper as you transfer into other team just because you and your team didn't shine. I believe he is a good addition to Lakers line up if ever. He's defense is really great, good enough that he is the one guarding top scorer/player of a team especially in clutch time, he is awesome.

I hate these talks man, I have always been an avid supporter that Iggy is no one, he has been no one for the past year, dude is too old to be as good as people think he can be. Lakers shouldn't get him, nobody should get him, if Melo is out of the league and Jeremy Lin is out of the league then surely Iggy should retire as well, dude is old and slow as hell and he literally can't guard a bucket anymore, he was never a good scorer in warriors but now he can't even guard people, its his time to leave the game.
If any team really trades for him then I will feel sorry for them because that will not make any difference to their team and they will be down one guy on the trade at least. If you want to get a veteran defender on your team just get Ariza, I don't know where he is but I am sure it would be similarly easy to get him if you can afford to get Iggy.

Iggy have the skills both with scoring and providing good defense if he be added to any team with have a championship caliber then he will be one of a good asset to sign in, he can give quality minutes for the team's star to sit and rest up. If he can land with clippers that might fit him together with Kawhi and PG all three of them have a good talents not alone with scoring machines but also can lead up to boost the teams intensity to play harder.
