2024 NBA Season

The Nets with another tough loss...  They aren't playing too well lately.  Sort of disappointing but I'm sure they'll get it together eventually.  I think even in the Jarrett Allen and DeAngelo Russell days they played better than this.  I think the rule changes and covid rules have something to do with it, but you'd think Durant would be able to carry his team better than this.  Maybe they're trying to play it safe and avoid injuries or are waiting until after the all star break to turn it on...  We'll see...

Confused Brooklyn Nets. Losing against a team without their stars Dame, CJ, and Powell. Yes, that's disappointing. Blake Griffin only played 11 minutes, I don't know what happened but Irving and KD played 40+ minutes and now I am starting to think they are doing load management thing that had been a disgust to most critics back then. Being safe in the 2nd spot give credits to do this strategies and more teams will be doing the same while they are not on check because of Covid issues.

And it's really hard for us bettors who thinks that Brooklyn can win this game and not to go ease with Portland since they don't have their stars. Unfortunately, for us, the Nets losses this game by a good margin. However, I don't think they are doing load management, they used to be on the top spot in the Eastern conference and if they won't win they the Sixers and the Bucks are going to take their position in the second spot so no need to play safe right now.

They still need to keep winning. That loss with the Blazers is really unexpected. KD and Kyrie are there to compete.

It's the Blazers role players who work together to hold their ground and snatched this win against the Nets, not new to this kind of outcome.

There are games that we think it's an easy blowout for our pick but turned out losing, shit happened, and that's unavoidable..

Portland got a home game against Nets last night and it was really competitive too. In the absence of Lillard, Portland still did just fine by defeating Nets 114-108. There is no player as I can call him "played superbly" because there was no player who scored even more than 30 points. Irving played for Nets again and did well by 22 points and 8 rebounds. KD got a double-double having 28 points and 10 rebounds. As Harden got a knee injury, his situation was going to be clear right before the game started. And he couldn't play. If he was able to, then Nets would have won this I think.

Look, I confess the Lakers are surprising me in this season.
I would never have imagined that team with that roster would be having such a simple and weak regular season.
I confess that I created a lot of expectations with the Lakers this season, but i don't know...

Right now Lakers have absolutely no downward movement available to them. At the start of the year they got Westbrook with the understanding that they will be doing a lot better, whereas they haven't been able to do that so far. This is why I believe that no matter what happens, they should not be really allowed to lose and have a reason for it, they just can't lose.

I understand that they have been not so healthy and that is why there is a situation where we are talking about them losing more than they should, but to be frank they weren't playing all that well when everyone was healthy too. Plus they are not the only teams missing players neither, other teams are losing players to covid protocol as well and yet they are doing fine compared to Lakers.

A nice move to me. Simmons will be a great addition to the Atlanta Hawks as we can see him now playing as a pure SF instead of PG. Aside from that, to finally end up the drama and both parties will now finally move on. However, seeing some articles related to that, looks like it was unlikely to happen or the chance is low unless we can get a fresh update in the following days. 

But as we know, Sixers already make it to the point that they won't trade Simmons without a big package in return. It's also the reason why it takes too long for them to finalize a deal with those teams who attempted to negotiate with them. I wonder what will be the package if the move to Atlanta Hawks will be pushed.

Damn that’s some pretty big news. I was of course kind of hoping that the Bulls might be able to pull him in somehow, though I knew that it was a long shot.  Their problem is they really don’t have much to offer up in terms of a trade. I wish Simmons the best in Atlanta but I do fear this guy might be a bit of a deva and they have some issues on their hands with him down the road, though I certainly hope not. Thx for sharing !

There is a great game tonight as I can see. It is Memphis Grizzlies - Golden State Warriors. We already know how great Warriors are doing now. They are still the conference leader. And Klay Thompson is finally back from his long-lasting injury. He played in the Cavaliers game and got a decent performance by 17 pts. Warriors are much stronger now and Grizzlies can have a really big difficulty against them in this game. However, Grizzlies also are having a great season. They won their last nine games which is remarkable. Ja Morant is performing perfectly and we see them at the 4th place in the standings. I just hope to watch a very competitive game. It is still hard to predict the winner. Maybe we will find out about it after overtime, who knows.

This guy is currently even on the injury report and not in 100% but still always the man of the night for the Memphis Grizzlies.

Now to Warriors, it's clear that their offensive power got a boost because of Klay's return. It will be a difficult night for the Grizzlies.

The big question is for whom they will be traded with. They just re-signed John Collins and extended the contract of Kevin Huerter. Will they let go of them because of their sudden upset in performance? I think so. Their issue right now is defense. They lost the same quality in defense when they are running for the Finals against the Bucks.

There's the other issue of letting the opponent score 130+ in most of their games like Hornets, Nuggets, and even the Rockets which means they lack the same energy as they did last year. This could be the good reason why they are aiming for Ben Simmons to strengthen that part and let Trae run the offense.

Interesting choice. Why would you want him in a Bulls uniform? I just don't see him contributing to the DeRozan and Lavine tandem or replacing any of those. I could see a potential trade with Lonzo Ball but such move could affect the good team chemistry. I also get the vibe that the guy is a diva and an entitled brat.

I don't want to see some valuable player like Simmons to be at the Bulls, I mean the Bulls are doing well so why disrupt them with a new player that they might adjust again. For me, at the moment they are already a championship team, if they want to make an adjustment, they can reserve that by next season, not in this time where they have a good momentum.

John Collins would be a good piece for the Ben Simmons trade as he has been reportedly frustrated with his role in atlanta.

I think the Bulls will not make a stupid decision of destroying the chemistry of their roster of adding another role player, especially since Simmons is not that worthy anymore in his current team that's why he is in the trading list.

It seems to me that the deal between the 76ers and the Hawks is unlikely, considering that Harris and Simmons have too huge contracts (115 and 140 mln). By the way, there is also a rumor that the Wolves are still interested in Simmons, and they are even ready to offer anyone for him, except Edwards and Karl Towns.

That was a big win by the Bulls as they dominated the pistons, after losing in their previous game, they are now back to the winning track and they look to extend this in the following games. Many of you are only seeing the side of Simmons and yes the Hawks might benefit from him but they will benefit more from Collins. Both of them are elite defenders, one difference though is Collins can shoot threes while Simmons? He obviously is afraid of taking shots and you will trade it for a big that has big contributions to the team.

One thing more is that what will be the role of Collins in 76ers? A second unit? Him and Embiid together will not help the team either because it will slow the pace like in Lakers. Just remember too how Collins posterized Embiid in NBA ECF last season.

He won't go to the bench, sixers would be stupid enough if they will not utilize his talent, this guy could do effectively both on offense and defense so he is also a major loss for the Hawks if they will trade him, remember his contribution in the playoffs, he is so valuable as he is not afraid to play with the bigs of any team.

And who will be the players going to be traded from Atlanta? Collins is still very good at second fiddle to Trae Young so it will be a bad move for the Hawks to ship him out just to get Simmons to Atlanta.

Yeah, I agree that Sacramento might be a good home for Ben as they are really in a disarray and needed someone to be the point leader and for sure Ben can provide that leadership.
