And the regular season games are on again tonight! Brooklyn Nets - Boston Celtics game is the most attention getting one in my opinion. Their win and loss statistics are similar to each other but I won't be saying the same thing for the performances recently. Nets are having a problematic period of time these days while Celtic are doing superb things. Here in this game, Celtics are going to be the closest team to win certainly. But maybe Nets might surprise us and defeat Celtics by a slight gap.

Will KD already available in this game? If he will play then for sure the Nets have a decent chance of winning, also, I like to see Simmons playing with the team already, I guess his vacation is enough already, he need to be in the court and contribute for the team.

As far as I know, he is not coming back before March 3. He is a huge loss for the team now because they need a player to carry the team now. And of course, they shouldn't depend on one player. I didn't mean that. They just need a big score contribution to the team to start winning regularly again. And when it comes to tonight's game, I see no chance for Nets. I don't think Celtics would lose this game while they are in-form this much. Maybe it could be a win by a close margin though.

I remember somebody posted here also saying that "The Pistons doesn't have a chance to win against the Celtics on the road." What happened? The Pistons snapped Celtics' 9 game winning streak.
After I saw that, I realized that saying a team that has no chance in beating the team is inappropriate already because we know that still there is a chance for a weaker team to beat the stronger team right? There is still a chance even though its low.

Now between the Celtics-Nets, Celtics are in a momentum right now because of how they played in their last games but I think that the Nets still have a chance because they have prolific shooters like Mills and Curry though Dragic will not make his debut game against them.

There's no specific date but that soon means before the mid-march which Simmons is expected to play. Unfortunately, as Durant keeps missing games, their ranking will continue to drop and they need to start winning the moment he will return so they can be in the play in tournament and would have a chance to be in the playoffs.

Imagine, Nets are in the bottom to fight the number 1 team in the East, that's rare.

Yeah you’re right they need to hurry up and get Durant back as soon as possible. As they continue to fall down the charts it’s only going to make it that much more difficult for them to be able to make a comeback. I don’t have much faith in Durant coming back healthy. That guy seemingly can’t stay healthy to save his life.

He has a chance to play with the Nets, a championship team, so he has to show some improvement if he wants to get sign again by this good team.

just focus on it, FT. Just like what you just said, it's still part of some strategy coming from the coaches to foul anyone who doesn't have

Better to keep improving while waiting for his come back inside the floor, Simmon needs to bring everything after his request to be

I believe they can do it. KD is near back and Ben Simmons is also close to playing his first game being a Brooklyn Nets. All I could think of is their lack of defense that's why they had been losing game after game. Then, there is the issue of Kyrie only playing on specific road games.
With Curry and Drummond around that hole is somehow patched up.
But recently there are rumors going on with what Danny Green said on his podcast. Curry and Drummond are not that close with Ben. "Weren't cordial" was actually the word used.

What I understand is his mind still isn't ready to play competitive basketball and handle all the pressure or the bashing he may get.

You might be right that it is just about his mind's being not ready yet. Because I didn't see a detailed statement there. Whether he is suspended or not, I hope that we can start watching him play again very soon. I was really excited when I saw the trade between Nets and 76ers. Simmons and Curry especially are very good additions to the team to make things much better for themselves hopefully. After Durant and Simmons start playing again, I expect a solid Nets.

Simmons needs to understand that he is not that important.

Unfortunately, with the league is currently set up, it is extraordinarily skewed towards player empowerment.

While that obviously is good in some aspects, you also create situations where divas like Simmons is allowed to roam free and do whatever he wants. He needs to understand that he is getting paid to do a job, and just do it. Look at Kemba for example.

Maybe they just wanted to make sure Simmons is healthy before allowing him to play. There are news that he is working with Korver to hone his shooting skills. I know it's pretty disappointing and frustrating for the Nets and his fans as well. But they are paying him good money so it's better to get him at 100%.

As the Brooklyn Nets continue to wait and hope that the New York City vaccination mandate gets lifted and Kyrie Irving is able to play in home games again, Nets coach Steve Nash sees a renewed sense of optimism from the 29-year-old guard that a resolution might be coming in the next few weeks.

Possible. That's the key for him to play again in New York. But I don't think his perspective about the vaccine changed. He won't get the shot.
It's indeed good news as there are still a lot of games that will be played in the said state and most of it will be crucial to get a safe spot in the playoffs.
Right now they are in the 8th seed of the East after losing against the Celtics. Durant is near back but it will be more helpful if someone else is there to run the offense while he rest.

The Nets are playing without their all star players and I think its also the momentum that the Celtics got before the all-star break that lead them to victory.
The Celtics are the first in defensive rating before the all-star and they really improved that much after a sloppy start.

Still the Nets are struggling to get a victory. Curry is a consistent scorer but Mills hasn't and only scored a point in this game. I just hope that Kyrie, Durant and Simmons will come back and play as soon as possible if they want to be at the top 4 at least after the regular season.

But yes, I share the same view with you, Simmons might be good and decent but he doesn't deserved yet to be named as one of the Big 3 of the Brooklyn Nets and before that, he still needs to prove a lot of things first if he is really worth it or fits in the puzzle that the Nets is missing.
