The talk around the league is that Lebron is unhappy with the current situation. He told the management they should not get Westbrook and get some shooters, but they saw a superstar and took him anyway. It resulted with the team being bad, and now that they also didn't send him away for a better fit player until the deadline, its obvious they are not going to be great this year. With AD missing 4-5 more weeks on to pof all the games he missed, they are going to suck this year for sure. Lebron is furious that his last years is passing without getting some more rings and he may actually end up leaving. His contract is getting over and he could just do 1 year rental in any place until his son joins the league and just go join that team before he retires. Its a real valid possibility.

If I'm not mistaken, he was the one instrumental of getting Westbrook to the Lakers. He even defending the team in the beginning from the haters. Of course who wouldn't be happy with how the team turns out to be with all the superstars around. There were talks of John Wall - Russ Westbrook before the deadline but the Lakers doesn't want to because Houston is asking for more players. It's up for Lebron to leave Lakers, he might transfer to other teams will waiting for his son to play in the NBA.

You are correct, he himself (LeBron) thought things could work out with Westbrook on their roster, but It went differently.
I even thought the Lakers would pursue for DeRozan and Buddy Heild. These two could've been a great addition to the Lakers and they could've been way better than a -.500 lol.
This Lakers roster doesn't need anything but miracle to survive the playoffs or even win the play-in tournament alone.
Westbrook, not a good fit for the Lakers.
AD, as usual became more and more fragile as years gone by.
LeBron, can't carry a team anymore like he used to in Cleveland.

Same here, if Durant comes back in time, then they can still survived in the regular games and go with the playoffs.

And then with Simmons waiting for his time and they occasional Irving being inserted, they could still manage to last 6th-7th spot in the East and automatic playoff berths. It might not be good position at they are going to face the top teams but we will never know specially with KD at the lineup.

It's more likely that they will gonna secure their spot in the NBA playoffs once Kevin Durant and Ben Simmons will play together and we will gonna see more improvement with Ben Simmons once he really does his job and play real basketball in Brooklyn Nets. This is one of the reasons why they really need to consider changing their rules when it comes to Kyrie Irving because he is one of the keys to unluck their strong performance to climb to the NBA finals but they instead choose to make it hard for him until today.

Got some good news about that, Kevin Durant is likely to play again as early as 1st week of the March and the Nets will be much more stronger again as their injured superstar will come back again to dominate the court. Durant almost missed 20 games after he suffered a sprained MCL in his left knee.
LINK: Brooklyn Nets star forward Kevin Durant is expected to return to the floor next week, Nets coach Steve Nash said on Saturday

And for Ben Simmons, he is expected to make his debut soon wearing a Nets uniform in a match against the Sixers but it looks like he won't make it as he's now injured before his expected debut. Any thoughts about this? It looks like he's avoiding his scheduled debut date Grin

Can't say that Durant will be 100% fine on that day but I assume he can be the best as he could to represent it. As for Ben Simmons I think that was just unfortunate for him to get that injury and I think that debut was he's excited about since he's playing his former team and I think there are personal things why he wanted to choose that event. Though it won't happen now.

Thanks for the heads up! Now, the Nets will be a threat again when KD comes back in the league and try to climb the higher spots to secure a place in the playoffs instead of playing more games in the play-in tournament. Plus I've read that New York will soon change their rules on the vaccine mandate, then this also means that Irving could play at home games.

Looks like it! I mean, he really looks he's trying to avoid the Philly after all those drama he did.

This is great news indeed. Their in a bad spot now at number 8 and if they will have Durant back, a possibility of a win streak could happen that might save them the trouble of having to play in the play-in tournament. Instead, they could use that time to rest or be in chemistry with Ben Simmons.

If he is avoiding it then I think he is being selfish. He should look at how the team will reach the playoffs and not about his drama with his former team.
I hope there is another reason why. Reconditioning might be the best one.

Ben Simmons will probably not be playing all that many meaningful minutes this year at all. Dude missed an entire season and didn't even practiced with the team so it is clear that he will not be in great match shape neither. Just forget about him this year, forget the Nets for this year as a whole, and you will see them be a little bit better next season.

It is clear that they are much worse after the trade, no idea why they even did that, Harden probably wanted out and they just had to get someone and Simmons was the only one available at that level, I would still get Porzingis which is basically the similar version with injuries and all but he would be a lot better for Nets and Dallas would be more than happy to make the deal.

That's what happens when you sit out like a baby.  Them muscles tighten up.  I don't hate the kid but I Lost respect for what he did.  Quit on his teammates.  Can't say I'd be super excited if I was on the Nets to have him on the team.  I would like to see a Nets sixers playoff series though now Smiley  don't think Ben would be treated kindly if he drives the paint

Looks like the details in the Harden drama are beginning to emerge.  Sounds a lot like Harden didn't fit in with Kyrie and Durant, specifically Kyrie.  I guess this is what happens when you try to build a team based on talent instead of chemistry.

I'm also seeing that Philly fans are mocking Kyrie for only being able to play in away games.  The Nets vs Sixers matchup would be pretty awesome in the playoffs for the drama alone.  As far as who is the better team...  I think any team with Kevin Durant has a good chance at winning against anybody.  Adding Seth Curry and Ben Simmons to me feels like a massive upgrade from James Harden.  Especially with the new rule changes eliminating Harden's drive and sending his fg% into the toilet.  It seems the Nets roster just keeps getting stronger and stronger.  Now to see if they can get healthy and learn to play together.

Agreed.  Seth spaces the floor which is what Durant needed.  Kyrie can just kyrie and doesn't need anyone or anything to get his shot.  But teams packed it in on the Nets knowing Harden drives especially with Joe Harris out.  Nets won that trade I think.  Philly is going to need Maxey to really step it up on his outside shot in the playoffs.

That was a funny statement coming from Kyrie. He's basically saying  the Nets doesn't need two ball hogs. I'm not even sure if he has the right to say the word "very selfless". I'm just hoping he doesn't throw shade to his new teammates specifically the emotional Simmons hehe.

Chris Paul is suffering an injury now but Suns are still doing a good job for now against Jazz. It is halftime and we have a 60-56 score now. But Suns won't have an easy game seemingly. Jazz are one of the in-form teams in the recent times and they wouldn't give up till the end in my opinion. But Suns will hopefully win as I added them to my parlay as a surprise option.  Grin  Suns had a really high odd and it was worth trying one's luck I think. I won't be very sad that if they don't win. But their victory would help me make a nice amount of money.  Cheesy

James Harden is a player that can definitely improve the efficiency of a team along with his superb passing skills and court-vision. During his time with Houston, he has proven countless of times where he can always dish a tandem of 1-2 along with his center Capella. He somehow reminds me of this era where there was a PG+CENTER duo (i.e. stockton + malone, kobe + shaq, etc.).

Now that Harden has an center that is arguably the best one in the league right now, it is nothing but obvious that he will fit Philly's team chemistry and composition which will make them a contender for this year's playoffs.

and the Nets will be much more stronger again as their injured superstar will come back again to dominate the court.

An "injured superstar" will come back again to dominate the court. Sounds impossible hehe. Maybe we can remove the injured part as if he's clear to play, then good. But as we know, a sprained MCL even after being cleared by his doctor, can still cause trouble during the early games once he comes back. Surely, there will be adjustments first before Nash will put Durant in his usual playing time.

The Nets really need the service of Durant now that they are on the verge of getting in the play-in. All remaining games from now on are all important as it's now time to secure a sure playoffs spot.

Adding Seth Curry and Ben Simmons to me feels like a massive upgrade from James Harden.

I agree with this. These 2 are good role players. Ben Simmons also knows where he should focus and not always act as the main man during his Sixers days. Playing with Durant, he will surely know how to adjust and let Durant do the scoring while he provided a good backup.

Seth Curry on the other hand is a good front-court runner. He's also improved this season. If no Kyrie Irving, he can cover his absence. Andre Drummond too is now getting back in his usual shape. A good defensive player which he didn't show mostly during his Lakers days due to lack of playing time.

Harden is making his stats back on top, with this another triple-double just simply showing that he loves to play with the Sixers.

I heard that interview he originally wants to move to Philly before but it didn't materialize and now that he
finally here, he's bringing his presence be felt by the team..

Looks like he and Embiid are doing great. The chemistry is binding good. We will see if they will continue like this, the chance
of moving to the finals is closer. Just my own opinion..

So far, they won their first two games together, and with their building chemistry throughout the season, they are becoming a great wall for the rest of the team in the Eastern Conference. Looks like Harden can pull his skills well here because the 76ers have been out of the like of him in the last seasons which is the best partner for Embiid. whenever Embiid is trapped can shoot inside, he just simply pass the ball to Harden and let him shoot the high percentage shots.

and the Nets will be much more stronger again as their injured superstar will come back again to dominate the court.

Nets needs the leadership of KD and with the new players who can work with him, the chance of winning games might take place.

and yes, Nash needs to control KD's presence inside the court this kind of injury is something that will imitate him.

Let see if how Net will perform once KD's back and maybe look forward with Simmons if how he can contribute..

That's some nasty amount of turnovers made by the Lakers. 23 in total. 7 of them came from Russ and he was not having a great night.
But I praise the Pelicans coaching staff for blending McCollum with Ingram and it works. They got stronger with their newly made roster, Ingram is full of confidence because of that change and I think McCollum feels at home too. It's a win for both of them while they are climbing the ladder back to enter the play in. 2 win streak for them and 2 losses for the Lakers.
