That or a salary increase. Only those two reasons why a player would decline the player option. He is valuable now. There are lesser point guards in the league who are healthy and he is one of the best choices of any team who doesn't have a playmaker because he can score on his own, handle the ball with care, and he can make a play too. It's hard to find guys who could do both.
Players who reject a huge offer likely believe that they can still make a lot of money compared to the offer on the table. VanVleet was the leader of the Raptors last season, and his stats were very consistent. He can certainly contribute that to other teams as well. He desires a max offer, and with the Raptors having a new coach, there's no assurance that the current system will continue to work in his favor. With a new coach it's possible that there might be a major change and if he already declines playing back, there might be an offer from the other team who can give him what he's aiming for. I don't see any problem with him playing with a new team, he's just like Brunson who can contribute and will surely manage to adjust. I'm curious if which team is or are now negotiating with Fred's camps, with the same level of contributions it can brings good impact to whoever squads he choose to play with.

The Chicago Bulls are not expecting Lonzo Ball to be back again, third knee surgery, that's something the management doesn't like.
There's no team that likes it when a player can't play for an extended period of time because of injuries. I recently heard the news that Lonzo might miss most of next season because of this surgery, and that's too bad because the Bulls' management will run out of patience sooner or later. Honestly, Lonzo reminds me of guys like Brandon Roy and Greg Oden, who had good potential but were forced to end their NBA careers too early. I missed Brandon Roy and always wonder if he was able to continue his career. Lonzo hasn't proven anything to carry a team yet just like Oden. Nonetheless, Chicago Bulls might need to change something big. I hope they won't start to zero again because that's a big waste. LaVine earlier wanted to exit but he is still under contract. If LaVine is happy to stay then the Bulls need to make big trades and build around him. I am not a big fan of LaVine because a part of me believes that the star is unlike the other NBA stars that are capable of uplifting their teams. Still, the Bulls need to let go of Vucevic or Lonzo, or even DeRozan too because the combo failed to work. Brandon Roy was on his way to super stardom. Knee injuries are the worst for nba because of the lateral movement required to compete at a high level. All those guys can shot the lights out it's the ones that can maneuver in the pain and create space are the ones that stick out. Wish I could have seen his career play out. Portland seems cursed almost.

I mean the club has the patience with the injured players but they don't like it all because they are losing money , contracts , views and more whenever a superstar is getting injured no matter the sport. For Lonzo , is hard to tell what his future will bring to him but I do hope he will have a strong comeback in 2 years from now if the recovery process will go without further interventions, because if not , like you said , he might be forced to retire which is sad.

Teams that have core players on the bench for an extended period of time are really not happy with it. Imagine losing someone temporarily that is centered to some strategies and fail-safe? That's a bummer. There might be some second option and backups for sure, but tactics will never be the same for a team that depends on this core player. The Bulls might even reconsider letting Lonzo go if his absence goes on for more time. Also, third knee surgery? That's rough. It will surely affect the way he plays and it's a new adjustment that the Bulls will have to work with and that's not really positive as time goes on for the Bulls.

I'm always usually excited after the season is over for the draft and than the summer league games but the Knicks don't have a first round pick this year Looks like wemby won't be starting his career off in Vegas. That's one of the better summer leagues and San Antonio isn't going to Vegas this summer. What other players are people excited to see come the summer league?

I think Lonzo situation is not just an injury, everyone gets injured that's part of this game, rarely someone goes a career without ever being injured, some more than others, but they all do. However, Lonzo is getting the third and there is a question if he will ever be able to play again, that's the trouble with this, there is a possibility that he may never play ever again, and that's why I think its not going to be possible for the team to be happy about anything, they are of course upset because he might be gone and they are paying a basically retired player. They may end up using medical exempt for the salary because he may end up retiring by the end of the season. Bradon Roy is a good example of this, young and good player, ended up being injured and retired very very early on his career, similar situation.

It would be a pity to see him retire while he is still young. I hope they treat him like the Warriors did with Thompson and the Nuggets did with Murray. After both players got injured and rested for at least one season, they came back and won a championship. The Bulls are a great team, with Zach LaVine and DeRozan in the lineup, making them very dangerous. Unfortunately, they haven't been able to play at full strength in the playoffs.

He is only 25 years old, so there is still plenty of time for him to play, and his body will recover quickly at his age. Moreover, his father would be proud of him as he has always believed in his son's superstar potential in the NBA. Let's give him time, and he will eventually make a comeback, finishing the season with impressive statistics. The Bulls can patiently wait for his return, which serves as a great source of encouragement for this young superstar. So, let's remain optimistic about his comeback.

I honestly do not expect Lakers to lose Lebron, he will stay there without a doubt, he won't move until his son is in the league, which will be another season if I am not wrong, if that were to ever happen then I am guessing that the only way he leaves is to go where his son is drafted and have one last season there.
His son will be at college this year at USC so closer to his dad this season, and he will be staying at his home if I am not mistaken as well, which means that we are going to see him play as well as hoped for and probably drafted, so at least one more year of Lebron at Lakers without a doubt, why would he want to leave his son who will play at college level close to home, you need to consider these when rumors are flying, they picked his college based on where Lebron was playing.

Only he will know if he will stay or not. We don't know what decision he will make in the future as he is very unpredictable. He always wants to win a championship to cement his legacy, but the Lakers fell short last season, so he might consider joining another team to increase his chances of winning a championship. However, this is just my perception, and I could be wrong. Regarding his son, aside from his father is a popular icon in the NBA, based on his stats, how high is his chance of getting in the NBA?

Or simply he just want to get out of Toronto simply as that, and be on a new team that will renew and motivate him to win another ring. Just like what Lowry did when he get out of Toronto after a big win, and he almost did it with the Miami Heat. And probably Van Vleet might have another team in his mind already and willing to sacrifice a pay cut just to be with that team. Yeah, for sure Kyrie might opt to get out and move to Lakers, but if Lebron is also going out then I doubt that Kyrie will seriously to to LA though.
There are rumors that Chris Paul would like Fred VanVleet to be on the Suns, The Toronto Raptors are looking for this in saying goodbye to Fred VanVleet but for them to steal a good trade, if it is not with the Phoenix Suns it could likely be with the Los Angeles Lakers traded with D’Angelo Russell, or even to the Milwaukee Bucks, with Grayson Allen, or the Raptors is aiming for Terance Mann, but I really don't know if it can Suffice, I don't even know why ESPN is still keeping that guy. He is a cancer, he only talks about Lebron James all the time. Not fair for those who want different things to listen to and NBA is not all about Lebron anymore. We have a lot of rising stars, Lebron had his time, it's also time for Perkins to move on and talk about the new guys. I am not a Lebron hater but that dude Perkins won't have an analysis that doesn't include Lebron. In these eras today, the champion will be coming from either the teams of Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic, Giannis, Joel Embiid, Ja Morant, Markkanen, Booker, SGA, and Fox. One of those. I think Sacramento Kings will come back better after proving a good point entering the playoffs again.
Well, many are mad about the recent Racist voting bias toward just white people, Kendrick Perkins should be banned from being a commentator on ESPN he is a bad influence on the future media commentariat, and it is not just right to talk about it, Well, I agree with the champions will be coming from one of those players or teams, but let's just wait for the transfer windows this will be a very crucial picks for all team s,

Yeah, that's pretty much what Lebron is gonna do for this season. But wherever he's gonna be taken by his contract, be traded or the Lakers don't really have plans of trading him, he'll stay there for sure. And one thing is that this upcoming season for sure he's got a lot to say for having new superstar teammates unless the Lakers management isn't willing to cover that.

At least though, we will want to remain in the league until his son can go and play in the NBA, whatever team it is. But I do agree that he might not leave LA, this is Hollywood, if ever someone will left LA it could be Anthony Davis and then Lakers rebuilding around Lebron again.
Yes, and maybe one of Lebron's dream is to really play together with his son on 1 team. In any case, let's see how good Bronny is. He might not be as tall as high father, but definitely the genetics and guidance from Lebron will be there for his sons.

LeBron can make it happen for sure and hope he's still healthy to be with his son whenever they play side by side. There would be lot of ways that they can be on the same team and I think NBA want to make it happen as well, you know for publicity and it may take them for some ticket sales and views, that's how it is these days.

It's going to be very difficult for the Kings though, I mean they have a good and solid team this season and almost upset the Warriors in their playoff series. And who's on the trading block with? Fox? I doubt that the Wizards will just get a 2-3 B-players for the King in exchange of Beal. Maybe the sticking point might be their future draft, but we will see. There's a lot names in the trading block or might request a trade at the start of the season. And again, this will make the team very competitive. For Lebron James, I'm not seeing him leaving the Lakers tough.

He doesn't need the Chicago Bulls to give him a pity because if he can bounce back from his injury then any team in the league can give him a chance to play because it's the Bulls loss and not his as Lonzo is a natural playmaker who is also good in passing just like his younger brother LaMelo in the Charlotte Hornets. Now, he must focus first from bouncing back because he will be the first player to ever play from having that specific injury.

Did his son not listed to the upcoming draft this new season?
Technically, as per NBA draft eligibility terms, Bronny James is not yet eligible to enter the NBA draft this year. - a player must be at least 19 years of age during the calendar year in which the draft is held (Bronny will turn 19 on October 6 while the upcoming NBA draft is just less than a week to go, June 22.- at least one year should have elapsed since the player's graduation from high school ( Bronny is currently in the class of 2023 and his final year)To summarize, Bronny James' eligibility in the NBA Draft will take place in the next year's draft (2024) for the season 2024-25.

I mean the Wizards really should have blown everything up a long time ago, being a perennial edge of the playoffs team is the worst thing that can happen, that's the NBA no-man's land. They dumped Wall, now get rid of Beal for picks and some talent and start over. The Beal/Porzingis/Kuzma outfit ain't taking them nowhere. They could probably dump Kuzma on some contender for a couple picks and filler.

Well, if they will make it work and out then that's a good addition to the team. We all appreciate on how far they've been with for the past season and Beal going with them is an absolute upgrade. Yes, and maybe one of Lebron's dream is to really play together with his son on 1 team. In any case, let's see how good Bronny is. He has said that on one interview and that's what he is just waiting to happen. A year or a season where he's able to play with his son and that's like the biggest dream that he's ever had and for sure the team that he'll still be with will allow that.
