Didn't expect the move of GSW trading Poole to get CP3 and so is Poole I guess. I thought he is one of the future of GSW along with Kuminga. Maybe, it would be a different story if only he perform well last season. I don't think Poole loves to be traded. Based on my observation he wanted to stay in GSW like Curry, and Thompson. As for CP3, joining GSW is his best chance to get a ring before his retirement in a few more years.

After his performance last season, the GSW has lost interest in him, and they're not planning to have such a stubborn player to be GSW image it could be a waste to not get CP3 when he is available and looks like his chance to get NBA championship is still alive if the GSW can improve their play with his now in the rosters. 2024 is kinda more interesting than the previous season I'm sure we will see lots of surprise trades after the NBA draft probably in these upcoming days.

CP3 is really good; he is a "point god." However, he has a problem: he easily gets injured, especially during playoff time. We may be hyping what is happening now, but it remains to be seen. In terms of chemistry, I'm sure CP3 will have no problem with that, as he has a good mentality, which is to be competitive and win a championship. CP3's biggest accomplishment was reaching the NBA Finals, but he has yet to win a ring at his age. Maybe this is his time.

Yeah, and probably Poole will have the green light to shoot 30+ in game? Lol. I think he will thrive though in the Wizards uniform, as you have said he is inconsistent specially this season, perhaps there were still drama in the locker room after the punching incident with Draymond and it carry on throughout. Anyhow good luck to Jordan.
Probably. The Wizards are in bad shape now with all the trades that are happening. KP was gone, Beal was gone, and Kuzma declined the player option. What is left there are bench players and adding new ones will be hard to swallow. It will probably be just like last year with an independent role for each player, not a team yet.

In recent years the Washington Wizards have been in bad shape with some players who are very unreliable even though they do trade players.
Kuzma was very unfortunate when he joined the Wizards he could not have any title whereas before being traded to the Wizards Kuzma managed to participate in bringing the Lakers to a championship.
It's also true that Kuzma rejected the player option because it would only be in vain and it didn't change their team.
It's better to use reserve players and like last year.

Maybe we can compare him to Zion? big hype, he enter the league have impact but he got injured, and now he is injury prone and there are rumors that he could be traded too.
Who knows until the actual season starts but I'm wishing him best for his career as it looks like everyone is truly optimistic on what's going to be his career run with the Spurs.
It's too early to compare him with Zion. We don't even know if he can truly live up to his status as a star. Zion has already proven himself to be a dominant player, whereas we haven't seen that from Wemby in the NBA yet. So let's reserve that comment for the future. We need to witness his greatness first.

I think this is an odd comparison as well. While they both will likely suffer from injuries keeping them off the court due to their sizes and body types, their body types couldn’t be further from each other. Zion is too big and strong for his frame and a freak athlete. Wemby is too tall and weak with hardly any athletic prowess nor has performed at all in the NBA.

He is more on AD side when it comes to comparison because he is very flexible yet have the height to dominate the rim. Besides, He will be honed by Spurs veteran which is known for producing high quality athlete like the Big 3 and Kawhi Leonard that are all very good on their own respective role.

Injury is part of the game but let’s hope this young man health will be good in the future since this kid has a  potential based on his performance pre NBA matches.

His ring chance is possible with the Warriors. I'm just hoping that will go to acquire another big role player to help Looney and Green
fighting inside, with CP3 now he can move the ball, but he might compromise the defense.

But I think he will be a good fit still as Warrior's principle "offense is the main defense". Knowing CP3, he can provide good numbers, maybe
he's lack in height but with special skills he can add the pressure to collapse the defense and let splash bro to get the free shots.

Not really surprised that Smart was the first one to be traded since he's the most expendable of the trio but never imagined KP to be there. He'll have less playing time for sure unless he'll be their main center which I doubt. I think Celtics is taking too much risk by changing a lot of the team dynamics.

Of course, KP will be the main center. He is still a big star and a huge problem for its rival teams. Personally, I am liking the big shake-up the Celtics are doing. Over the years they really have the real potential of becoming champions but they only made it into the finals once. KP might change the usual Celtics plays but the center can provide a big boost of offense, especially during the times when Tatum and Brown turn cold. And it is time for a change after its failed 2022-23 season.

The Celtics are still looking very strong provided they can stay healthy next season. Horford is an important piece but he is aging and the team will limit his minutes but he will be utilized during the playoffs.

Yes, KP will get the same role and it is very reason why the Celtics get him and sacrificed Marcus Smart. We know neither of the present roster right now is much more capable to protect the rim other than KP, Williams III is not that dominant and especially not Al Horford either. So, with these new changes, the Celtics are looking forward to make some difference again by changing the line-up they had.

CP3 could still be a good addition, he has more experience in playoffs and crucial plays, he might be injury prone, but if he will be just getting quality minutes then perhaps the Warriors can really extend him and obviously trying to get another championship run with the old veterans as their core is like 33 years old and up.

No doubt about that because I know that the Golden State Warriors had a very good reason behind that move. Although I will not deny that part of me is questioning that move as well because you see, Chris Paul's vision is different because the man can literally set the table for the team and that's quite a good benefit but the problem is, he is very prone to injury and most of the time, that happens when playoffs or every crucial plays that the team badly needs him.

Chris Paul going to the Warriors as a backup for Steph Curry? I didn’t expect that. I guess CP3 thought that was his best chance at a ring. This to me means that Jordan Poole is done in Golden State. Crazy because I thought he would be next up, especially with Draymond rumored to be leaving the team this offseason. First surprise of the offseason…

Edit: Looks like Poole was in the trade. Checks out…

I think it was not rumored anymore because Draymond Green is now in the free agency after he opted out that $27M deal for the 23-24 season and he said that he's still looking forward to wear the same uniform in the next couple of year or until he retires if he gets that contract that he demanded with $100M in. But I don't seriously think that the Warriors will give Green that kind of deal because they have freed Poole for two reasons, first is he is not that consistent anymore and second, they need to free up some cap space.

He is prone to injury just like any other ageing players, including Steph. But if the Warriors or CP3 himself remains healthy, I think he is still a very valuable addition to the team. As compare to Poole who is erratic sometimes and I will say that maybe the big contract might have gotten to his head and that's why he most of the time try to force the game into himself resulting into missed shots and crucial errors causing the Warriors a lost. CP3 could come out of the bench, and then have that quality minutes in the 4th quarter to orchestrate, with Steph, Klay, Green, Wiggins and or Looney.

Why not CP3 be the starting PG for the Warriors, then Curry be the SG or Klay on that position. Just so funny though that 3 days ago I saw a interview from Mike Dunleavy Jr and saying that with Poole's contract, he will stay with the Warriors. But after that he was traded.

For Kuzma, if I'm not mistaken he declined the offer from the Wizards and most likely be in the trading block as well.

And if that happens then Poole will act as the new franchise player.
Curry is not going to relinquish his role as the starting guard. CP3 will not be playing every game, they will use him sparingly because he is older and has a tendancy to get injured. The Warriors have their core and lots of role players on the team, they're going to be looking to get past the drama from last year in the locker room and come together again for 1 last championship run. Klay and Steph will not be around forever.

Good point and I think it makes the picture even clearer as to why the Warriors gambled just to get Chris Paul in the franchise, as of now, might be too much to ask for CP3 to maintain his health all year because we all know that he's already somewhat prone to injury and I think the Warriors are already looking for some ways to minimize that and one of those ways is to let CP3 play when he's highly needed. That said, I think he will come off the bench and not as a starting line-up.

I believe that CP3 should lead the second unit, as his playing time needs to be managed and he may not be suited for the starting lineup. CP3 has proven to be clutch, especially compared to JP3, who has a high turnover ratio in the playoffs. Hopefully, this change will have a positive impact, and I also hope that the Warriors will acquire more big men to strengthen their roster.
As a long time floor general and nba veteran, it's always hard to convince players at that level to be second unit leader. Dude is good and all but he won't be able to just easily convinced that he should come off the bench. Obviously Kerr will find a way to make them all play together as well, and he will do minute management so carefully that it will take a while but I bet that he will be doing it very wisely.

We will see moments where cp3-klay plays, and we will see curry-klay as usual, but cp3-curry will be a hard one to be fair, doesn't feel like they would be able to actually do something major together since they are both short players and NBA is getting taller these days, we are used to having 6'5 point guards these days, or high jumping athletic ones at least.

Green has not been that consistent as well in my opinion. So I think the offer that he was given of $27 million was actually good. I don’t think he's going to get the type of offer that he is asking for right now. I don't know if it is a little too early to say this, but he is getting older, and at the age of 33, he should be taking those types of offers in my opinion. $100 million contract is not very easy to come by. A player has to do really well to get that type of offer.

They take that chance after the performance of Poole I guess, after signing that huge contract his performances, especially during
the playoff is something that might lead the team in trading him.

And the fact that there's already an issue between him and Green, we will know what will be the outcome
if Warriors will win in this trade or they are just using this opportunity as they know that CP3 is already
near to his retirement and they can quickly free huge cap after..

At this point, he should know what's his real value because I also don't think that demanding a $100 million worth of contract is really worth it to what he have contributed to the team recently. The Warriors are doing some slight changes right now to make the team championship worth again and I don't think that Green will be their priority especially that humungous tag price that he was asking.

It was a surprise to everybody because just a few days ago, it was said that they'll take Poole and won't be traded.

But then it was a different outcome and there goes the news that Poole was already traded. Another player that can't process yet the trades is Smart who is now with the Grizzlies.

He's the replacement probably for Dillon Brooks after being too talkative.

Honestly though, I kind of expecting these things to happen where teams will get rid of their own players that have been playing poorly in the recent season especially Jordan Poole for his inconsistency after gaining a massive contract. He went from being a huge contributor off the bench to a poor player that was literally unhelpful to the team's journey during their post season run. What I didn't expected to happen was Marcus Smart being traded but it's reasonable enough as the team was targeting Kristaps Porzingis.

I think Charlotte screwd that one up last night.  Miller is a decent player but scoot might end being a franchise changing player.  Him and Shaedon sharp are gonna be fun to watch over the years.  This has the flavor of a jordan pick all day long.  Maybe I'm wrong but that was surprising to me.

It's like a new era for them and a new face and that's why they'll have to make sure that they get the kid and build up the team with supporting players as well. We do remember all of those rosters that they've got including Duncan, Manu, Parker and with some Kawhi as well.

Yup! new faces indeed we could surely see when Wembanyama plays next season if he is a worthwhile prospect but chemistry is more important aswell Well last season many have high hopes for Paolo Banchero in the 1st games he showed potential but it is likely not solid enough I think it is really a whole new level when it comes to the NBA but I think Paolo Banchero can eventually be landed on his top gear next season, and the play doesn't revolves on him so he doesn't really have any position on the Orlando Magic, but I think if the Magic can give much credit to the Kid he can surely develop well showing his stats for each game he is doing great I fear that Victor Wembanya would start like this in his 1st run for the NBA,
Well that's to be expected for the rookies like Paolo, it was just all hype and we might see the same for Wemby but it's all gonna be about the program that's already set for him. Only time will tell and that's what we need to wait. And going with the recent champions, Bruce Brown chose not to sign his contract and will become a free agent as the news and articles says that came out.

I see the news reporting that Monty Williams is selling his Scottsdale home now that he's been fired as the Phoenix Suns head coach.  I think he's the single reason that DeAndre Ayton has underperformed in the NBA.  With him gone now, that opens the door up to keep Ayton and develop him into the player he should become, but who knows what sort of bad blood there is between him and the organization or if the firing of Monty Williams was enough to get Ayton back on board.  I still think the Suns dump Ayton for a more experienced player that can help them win now, but if I were in charge I certainly wouldn't do that.
