San Antonio can be a good place for an old Damian Lillard, when the number 1 draft diamond boy learning from him. The only thing that prevent this to happen its San Antonio never had a star player on hiw file, and yes tim duncan parker ginobili were stars but they are formed in San Antonio.
And DL its more individual player than collective.

That would be a lot of fun to see those two play together, but I do t think I see Lillard wanting to go there. Sure they got Greg Popavich who’s an absolutely legendary coach whom is revered by players, but I think it’s going to take more than one sensational (potentially) rookie for them to win a championship.

I would expect him to go to a little bit more mature of a team. But he’s also not a free agent so thats obviously going to hurt his shot at going yo the teams he really wants to.

The San Antonio Spurs got the right aces to get Dame Lillard if they really wanted to but it turns out that they are prioritizing the younger generations as of now because even if they can, they are not engaging in the talks to acquire Dame to the franchise. Of course coach Pop can do a hell of a job but just like what you guys are saying, it's not what the Spurs want and it's not what Dame wants.

According to the latest news I've read, there is only one team that Damian Lillard wants to be traded to now and that is the Miami Heat. (Shams Charania)

This rumor has been around during this trade war and I think it's very plausible that Dame will be out of Portland and likely to get on Heat.
That's the Heat is also rumored to offer a trade that's hard to decline just for Dame but we shall see the trade rumor happen within the next few days, maybe.

Of course it will be beneficial to Miami Heat, that is if Dame remains healthy throughout the season. In the beginning of last season, they are one of the best team until Dame got injured, and then it went downhill for them. Even if he comes back, it's kinda too late as they went deep in the standing.

And now that they've lost 2 of their players, Vincent and Struss, then they might need a guy that can help Bam and Jimmy in offense.

So Dame might be a good fight for them in the long run. Another MVP caliber player, downside is that he is now injury prone.

They retained Martin because they believe in his talent. Of course, the Heat could let Vincent and Struss go because they are expecting a high-profile player to join, most likely Dame. In fact, they are offloading some players just to accommodate him. They are taking a significant risk for Lillard, so it would be a mess if he were to get injured in case this trade would really happen.

Problem us Dame doesn't get to choose where he goes.  Portland has some nice young pieces in Sharpe and now scoot.  I'm sure they will want Dame to be happy but if another team offers a significantly better package then that's where he will go.  Same conversation was had last year with Donovan Mitchell.  He's a ny and openly said that's where he wanted to go and here we are with Mitchell on the cavs.  Miami is going to have to pony up if they want him that bad.

But Donovan is not on the same status as Dame and if Portland genuinely cares for Dame, they will let him go even if it will hurt the roster and even if the return is not as good as what they are expecting. Moreover, I think this trade will happen this summer and will not leave Dame disappointed.

Anyway, let's hope for the better that Dame will have what he wanted as he's been loyal to the franchise for over a decade now and did not gave them any headaches during his time with them.

According to the rules, Dame doesn't have the power to choose where he will be traded. He is essentially treated as merchandise, exchanged for players. However, considering his vocal intention to play with the Miami Heat, it wouldn't be ideal if he were traded to the Spurs against his wishes. It's important for him to be in a situation where his heart is fully committed.

True, there are plenty of teams that would go after Lillard with a better offer, so it is highly unlikely that he will be traded to the Heat if there's a better offer, as the Trail Blazers management is always the one to be followed.

I recently posted this, but anyway, I never knew that the San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors also like to get their hands on Dame Time aswell, this is how much popular Damian Lillard is, despite not getting a ring he is surely an incredible player for sure, but for me I like him to go to the Miami Heat, he can possibly go with the Los Angeles Clippers and then the Clippers will eventually cutting off Kawhi Leonard for just showing off in a game whenever he likes it and never give a thing with practice,

There's a rumor but not as strong as the miami news.

Lillard should take this easy and he should never create any pressure to Blazers since if this team will not like his future actions maybe he will go on the team where he don't like to play. He should wait for offers to come since if he have good separation with Blazers maybe this team will agree on what he likes and release him without any further issues.

A lot of teams has made an offer to get Lillard but not all of them will be catered for now because the Blazers are giving the Heat some time to think about this trade, with of course a deadline in mind, as it is Dame's wishes to play in Miami next season. I'm confident as well that the Blazers will try to allocate Dame as much as possible and they will do what they think is good for both Dame and for the team (Blazers) because it will be unreasonable to trade him for now because the Heat are not making the right package as it was said that they aren't willing include Herro in the trade.

Very interesting to see this. I’m sure it’ll be called plenty in the upcoming season. I am a little surprised that the flop call was on a 3-point shot like that. I would have expected it to be a drive or a screen. I also wasn’t aware this was going from a fine to a technical, but I guess it makes sense given how much month these guys are making now.

I think this is probably a good rule or I should say "rules" that the league is planning to implement next year.  I do get pretty tired of seeing players flop, and it honestly ruins the game in my opinion.  Obviously flopping is cheating, and when players get away with it, getting a chance at free shots..it just drives me nuts.  There's some players that rely on flopping as a big part of their game, can't wait to see how their games evolve around this.

Good rule for teams doesn't like to do flopping but Lakers will be affected on this rule since they are the notorious floppers in the league. Maybe from that rule created we can see a real action since flopping destroy the game and good thing NBA take action with it. The game will be now good to watch with less controversy happen so maybe we can expect to see a more intense game next season.

ESPN Sources: The NBA's new In-Season Tournament Final Four is set for December 7 and 9 in Las Vegas. Statistics will count for the league's regular season, except for the championship game of the event.

What are your thoughts on the NBA's new In-Season Tournament, which is set to debut this season? Good, bad, or meh?

It's been in the works for a while, but it was only recently added/ratified in the new collective bargaining agreement. More info about the tournament should be available this weekend.  So far, we know that all games count toward the regular season (except the championship game), and that each member on the winning team will receive $500k. I'm sure teams would have appreciated it even more if the NBA had thrown in a second-round pick, or perhaps a first for grabs.

I guess we'll see how this plays out..., i  mean i don't mind it, and besides the NBA has had a lot of success with the play-in thus far.

They will be as good as they are healthy.  The key to the Suns is keeping Durant in tip top shape through the whole season.  I'm not saying he is injury prone but if they can keep ayton, Durant, book and Beal on the court for most of the season they will be fighting for the top spot.  There is more movement to come for teams but if I had to look at the west it would be Suns and Denver, then everyone else.  They are definitely going for it though.

And then Warriors adding veteran Corey Joseph to the lineup. Joseph who is a 13th season in the NBA, could be a good guard rotation for the Warriors and maybe a defender as well as they've lost so much in this position specially Donte.

So a lot of teams have acquired some good talents in the free agency.

So Grant Williams is leaving the Celtics and going to Mavs for $53 million.

So another fan favorite leaves Boston now, first it was Marcus Smart and then Grant Williams. I think he will be a perfect fit for the Dallas team and maybe given more minutes to play as they lack players in this position.

And from what I read, it's a sign-and-trade deal, and spurs receiving Reggie Bullock as well.

Although losing him might open the salary cap for the Celtics and flexibility in the future to still chase Jaylen Brown.

Not everything that happens on the court will be noticed by the referees. Their calls are based on what they see, and that was evident in the game between the Warriors and Kings. It's good to see that there are heavy penalties being enforced for actions like flopping. Flopping truly diminishes the enjoyment of basketball and has unfortunately become a part of some players' strategies, which is unacceptable.

Every single season we see "flopping will be called more" and every year we do not see any calls, and every year they say "we will not be giving fouls that easily" and every year the FT numbers are insanely high.

Unfortunately the refs at NBA are at a horrible level, college refs are far superior of course but they are also getting a lot more jobs, and that's why it is not easy to convince a college level ref to get to NBA, it is not just about money but even money is better at the top, but it is also about having easier schedule with more compact jobs, you can be at midwestern and just stay there and ref a ton of games, at NBA you could be all around the nation, and that nation is a continent sized one, so it is not that easy at all.

I will also add Le-flop because there are times as well where he is flopping. Lebron fans might hate me with this one, but I'm pretty sure they also know that he's also flopping. Overall, let's not expect too much with this new rule because we don't know what can be the effect of this one into the league.

Well, the times Lebron flops are too highlighted in his career. Another good one in this acting skill is Kyle Lowry. He is one of the tops in the league who has taken a lot of offensive fouls and most of them are flops.

Okay, that's good news indeed. So the referees are now testing it. And it was said it is not required for him to stop the game but he still did after one play. There seems to be another problem that will come out after this. It is a live ball and the play is supposed to happen and then suddenly the refs blew his whistle. Perhaps they should change that by just calling it during a dead ball.
I don't know if that is what they call "the next neutral opportunity". IMO, it is bad because they are in the heat of the game. The committee on the sidelines will have a big factor here, they could just tell them it was a flop so that it will be listed and they will notify the refs once a dead ball happens.
And, it gives a free timeout that may ruin the game or take advantage of it. There are still holes in this new rule.
But, like I said in my earlier posts, I want to see the consistency of the referees when they call this type of violations.
