And that should be the right call to protect the players from such unnecessary contacts, otherwise players like Brooks will gonna have to do it over and over again until someone will get a season ending injury or worse a career ending ones. I have to admit also as to what I have noticed that the NBA impose stricter calls if it happens to a superstar, simply because the NBA benefited from their value. And, then there's these people an NBA fan from the 90's era who has yet to moved on from physicalities, calling it soft when they don't even understand what good basketball is from the dirty ones.
I believe the NBA should consider suspending him for his actions. It's evident that the act was intentional, aimed at causing harm to the opposing player by striking him below the belt. Such behavior doesn't align with the principles of basketball and lacks sportsmanship. The league should take this matter seriously. It's important to reflect on the fact that these athletes are already exposed to physical risks in their sport, where injuries are not uncommon. However, actions that fall outside the realm of the game's rules and ethics should be treated with special attention. This will send a clear message to players who might contemplate employing such unsportsmanlike tactics.

We should be able to get a look at Giannis and Damian Lillard together for the first time this weekend as the Milwaukee Bucks face off against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. I’m not sure what I’ll have to do to see some of this game but I’ll be trying. I’m sure they won’t get many minutes, but we’re certain to get a glimpse at what they can do.

For sure, we'll see how Lillard plays with a new uniform. Will we witness that alley-oop? I'm sure the Bucks' three-point shooting is going to be their best weapon, considering the size of the Lakers, so I guess they'll stick to what they're good at, especially Lillard. However, since it's just a preseason game, we can't expect too much from him. You know, it's a non-bearing game, so they'll just play for fun. Before the Bucks take on the Lakers, they'll face the Warriors first, so we'll also get to see how Chris Paul performs.

That's definitely something that we're going to see often. Do you expect Giannis to focus on rebounding and not run much offense on the inside? Dame will definitely have his usual shots behind the arc but I'm actually expecting more of slicing and dicing from him. The Lakers will probably do the same so I'm looking forward to a physical game.

They can shoot from beyond the arc, but when it comes to Giannis, he's the "Greek Freak" for a reason. He knows how to own the paint, and he's in his prime, so that makes the Bucks way more unpredictable. Plus, they've got Lopez, who's a towering 7-footer, so they don't have any size disadvantages going on. Now, the Lakers, on the other hand, struggle with those three-pointers. They're more likely to go hard in the paint, 'cause their 3-point game isn't strong.

Thankfully, the referee called a flagrant 2 so it will definitely be in the eye of the NBA management. Any shot that is below the belt should be considered a dangerous foul, not just the head and a higher penalty like suspension should be implemented. Not that the NBA is getting soft but if they want more tickets to be sold then they must also protect their players from such things. Brooks just proved that he is a villain who does dirty work and worse, he did it in his Houston Rockets debut. Speaking of bad things happening in the NBA, here is one more from the Charlotte Hornets player Miles Bridges. https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/hornets-miles-bridges-facing-another-arrest-warrant-stemming-from-domestic-violence-charge-per-report/According to WSOC in Charlotte, an arrest warrant has been issued for Bridges for the alleged violation of that protective order, with a police report indicating "the victim's windshield was smashed in" by Bridges at her residence in January, mere months after the 10-year order was instituted. His problem ain't even over yet and then he added more. The NBA served Bridges with a 30-game suspension last year, and 20 of those games are considered to have been served. As of right now, he is slated to finish that suspension over the first 10 games this season, at which point he would become eligible to play.

I reckon Draymond Green got himself suspended in the NBA finals for giving LeBron a low blow. It's kinda like déjà vu, even though this is just a preseason game. The fact that it's happening again, it's only fair for the league to take a good, hard look at this situation and hand out some serious penalties to players who break the rules. I'm not sure if what he did could be life-threatening, but it's seriously risky business. Honestly, I thought no team would want him anymore, but the Rockets caught us off guard. They not only signed him but also hooked him up with a sweet contract. I'm curious to see how that's gonna play out for the team's reputation.

Their games in this preseason are not bad and they are still a contender team who will probably have a high chance to dominate the Eastern Conference once again especially right now they acquired Dame and he is excited to dedicate himself to playing in another team that has a history to get to the NBA finals and won the championship. They really need to work hard this time because their opponents already have acquired some great players to counter them and getting the playoff spot this time will not be the same as last season unless they sync their game and are able to play like old teammates with one another.

Honestly, this dude made more money already then majority of the world won't make during all of their life time, and that is still a good thing. Zion could be overweight (although he looks a bit slimmed down this summer) and he could be injured all the time, but even with all of that, he made insane amount of money so far. Even players like Greg Oden who didn't play much at all, ended up with a great amount of money if the invested it smartly. Maybe not enough to serve them a life time, but good amount, on Zions case, he made enough money to live a life time with it without ever working again. So if his contract his over, I am %100 sure that someone will get him, probably will be renewed as well, but if not, someone else will, and if even that doesn't happen (which I consider impossible) he could simply just play overseas. He can do whatever he wants, and he knows it, not everyone has that Kobe mindset, some just get paid and have fun and do whatever they want.
The NBA contracts nowadays are just getting bigger each year. Even the first contract of Zion was already averaged 8 digits per annum which is already enough for a lifetime if managed well. As for Zion's health, at least he is ready for this coming season. He seems to be reducing weight again. It really boils down to how he is determined and listens to the health experts who really want him on a steady diet. With the luxury he's got at the moment, I cannot blame him for enjoying his life and what's more, eating the best foods this world can offer. I read somewhere that his diet before included a piece of octopus but it could be that Zion bought a giant octopus. But if he wants to stay in the NBA for long, he needs to limit his food intake.

Zion needs to have a successful season; otherwise, his team will grow weary of waiting for his improvement and might end a season prematurely. Although he's still young, the bottom line is that business is business, and the Pelicans have already invested a substantial amount in him. He should reciprocate by helping the Pelicans become a winning team. There's a lot of criticism surrounding him, and now is the time to prove the critics wrong. Zion must prioritize his health; in terms of skills, there's no denying that he already possesses them.

There are definitely going to be some mind games. Changing their approach, watching the way their opponent plays. The Bucks are probably going to be more versatile. At least compared to the Lakers. I actually agree that the three-point game is not strong for the Lakers. So they are most probably going to stick with the plan which they are good at. The bucks, having the versatility is going to play according to the situation. And they have the ability to counter whatever strategy their opponent throws at them.

We know that Lebron really do care of himself, spends millions of dollar on his physical body alone and that's why he still compete at high level because of this . However, you can't compare them though, there is also this DNA, that Lebron is really born to be one of the best specimen, a freak in nature just like any other elite athlete. And sad to say that Zion is not on the same breathe as far as Lebron is. There's a lot of criticism surrounding him, and now is the time to prove the critics wrong. Zion must prioritize his health; in terms of skills, there's no denying that he already possesses them.
Well last year he tried to proved his doubters wrong, he had a good season, but then again, got injured. Hopefully this year will be different for him because I can smell that this could be the last year that the Pelicans are giving him one more chance. Otherwise he will be traded.

Anyone seen the GM reports for 2023-2024? Some of the most interesting reports or predictions by the GM are: PREDICTIONS
Which team will win the 2024 NBA Finals?
T-1. Boston Celtics – 33% T-1. Denver Nuggets – 33% 3. Milwaukee Bucks – 23% 4. Phoenix Suns – 7% 5. LA Clippers – 3% » Last year: Milwaukee Bucks – 43%
Who is the best shooting guard in the NBA?
1. Devin Booker, Phoenix – 63% 2. Stephen Curry, Golden State – 10% T-3. Luka Doncic, Dallas – 7% T-3. Anthony Edwards, Minnesota – 7% T-3. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City – 7% » Also receiving votes: Jimmy Butler, Miami; Jayson Tatum, Boston » Last year: Devin Booker – 45%
https://www.nba.com/news/2023-24-nba-gm-surveySo the GM is putting the Celtics and the Nuggets tied to win the NBA trophy for this year. I think I will agree with them, I mean Celtics upgrading their roster, although they lost Marcus Smart, they got Holiday and KP. While the Nuggets are the defending champion and they still have the best center and most likely another MVP candidate year for Jokic. And then the Bucks getting Dame. Booker though, has been voted against for the best shooting guard and hopefully he can live up to the expectations for this year and bring Phoenix with Kevin Durant to the finals.

Really surprised that book landed #1 over those other people. Some people can land in other categories like Luka and steph over in pg spot, Tatum as a sf. But if they are all lined up together under the sg spot I think I'm taking 4 or 5 guys before I take book.

For me Booker is one of the most overrated players in the league actually. Seeing him on top of all these players seems a little off. Also looking at the roster now, playing with KD and Beal, this will mean less shots for him as well. Anyway, most of these lists made in the preseason are garbage anyway. Somebody has too much time creating this stuff so people can discuss about it. In this case, it's another strange one.

No way it's gonna be focus on 3-point shooting game for the Bucks, that's for sure.
With Dame, it will be an additional rotation knowing that Middleton and Lopez can also take the shot outside, adding Dame as a threat will give Giannis a good space to play one on one. That's going to be a big advantage as Giannis can take that defense to a converted score or a foul, just need that chemistry together and work on it and likewise they still have that good chance in the East. We will know what will be the outcome of this trade once the season start and bring them the outcome of each game that they play together.

Thank you for the link bro, I have not seen that yet. NBA Kia MVP is Jokic in the first place of the votes despite Embiid getting it last year and now Giannis in the 2nd place, and Embiid at 4th of the voting. Jokic impact shot up because of the championship he received and he is also the first pick on this question. "If you were starting a franchise today and could sign any player in the NBA, who would it be?" But I am a bit sad that I don't see De'Aaron Fox's name anywhere, (only the fastest)I think he is also one of the biggest threats when it comes to being an offensive guy and I think they are forgetting what the Sacramento Kings achieved last season by entering the playoffs again after a long time. Perhaps, Fox will need to pull the Kings higher than just the first round to receive that kind of reputation too.

I’m not a big Booker fan either but he can definitely shoot. I don’t think he’a a top tier player but I think he’ll be leading the Suns this year. KD might be the best player but it’s Booker’s team they all came to play for so I think they’ll show him the respect he deserves and let him lead the team in shots. I’m not a big fan though. So nice to see Ben Simmons balling out in the preseason.

He loves to trash talk but when it comes to playoff, he suddenly disappear and he can't back up everything what he says, just like in their series against the Dallas Mavericks. So let's see if he can still be the alpha of Phoenix as obviously there is Durant and to some extent Bradley Beal.

No question that Booker can score, and if I'm not mistaken, there were games that Booker has a shooting streak, scoring 40 points++. But he was not consistent though, so yeah I think he is overrated. And he is on top and second is Steph Curry? you gonna be kidding me? So the GM thinks that Booker is better that Steph? Not sure what those guys are smoking. Even if those are GM though, you have to take everything with a grain of salt. And it seems that this is another report that majority of them got it wrong again as like the previous years.
