There's one thing sure for Poole this season – he'll likely make it to the All-Star game, and that will probably make him happy. Finally, he isn't living in the shadow of a superstar. With Beal already out, he has the chance to shine. This is what he wants, and let's see if he can lead this team to the playoffs. If he succeeds, there's no doubt a max contract will be waiting for him.

A few players are only given this kind of chance and he really needs to take advantage of it and not become lazy because he was cast out by his team whom he helped to win the championships. Therefore, if he could make it to the playoffs with his current teammates, then they really need to take him for that because they are no longer capable of doing that since Beal isn't around anymore.

The Wizards are likely in a rebuilding phase. Their best times were when John Wall and Beal played together, and although they didn't reach the finals, they were a consistent playoff team. Now, with Poole's time, it seems like he doesn't have as much support. It's his time to lead, and we'll finally get to see his true potential now that he isn't living in the shadow of the Warriors' big three.

Quote
He needs to make it his team and use every opportunity to make them realize that they throw the wrong player out.
He couldn't have done that; the Warriors made a well-thought-out decision. If only Poole had a strong playoff performance last season, he probably wouldn't have been traded. Unfortunately, he showed the opposite of what he displayed during their championship run, and that left the team with no choice but to trade him.

It seems like both sides are content, and it appears to be a win-win situation.

A single season of bad performance in the playoffs is usually not a ground for a team to trade or let go of someone they believe is a potential. There should be something not told in public by the Warriors' management. Or it could be that they saw CP3 as a golden opportunity more than Poole hence the trade.

Fans are divided on the trade but it is what it is. This is a blessing in disguise for Poole to show what he is as a player since the Wizards do not have a superstar. We'll find out soon if he is a superstar potential or just a support type of player.

The reason for this seems rather evident – the altercation between Poole and Green was a major factor in Poole not feeling fully embraced by the Warriors as part of the family. Perhaps it was Poole's own decision to not give his all during the playoffs, forcing the Warriors to consider trading him. It's hard to take Poole's playoff struggles at face value when he's reportedly at 100% health. There must be a deeper reason for his performance issues that won't heal as long as he remains with his old team. It's a relief that he's been let go, and hopefully, time will heal those wounds.

It's more on the attitude of Poole though, he was really embrace by the Warriors if I'm not mistaken, specially when they won the ring and they recognized him as one of those who really contributed to them winning that time and then he was offered a good contract.

But as you have said, even before the start of that season, that incident really put a crack on the relationships of the Warriors. And I will speculate that the team might have sided with Green that time. And then in the playoffs, Kerr decided not to give him minutes and then he went to the media to vent his frustrations. But I guess coach Kerr knows what he is doing, he want to minimized the errors as Poole sometimes commits critical errors that made them lose in close games.

It's no secret, Poole and green literally got into a punching match.  Klay steph and draymond are tight it just wasn't going to work.  And on top of it you can't pay everyone so Poole was the odd man out.  Golden state thrives on chemistry.  Fit in with those 3 or see your way to the door.

That's the reality; the 'Big 3' have worked hard to build a championship team that no one can dismantle easily. If Poole thinks he'll be chosen over Green, he's mistaken because the Warriors are stronger with the 'Big 3'. Poole is still young, perhaps not mature enough to grasp all of this. His desire seems to be to enjoy the same fame that Curry has, but that might not be attainable with the Warriors. He should be grateful that he was traded, as with the Wizards, he'll have the opportunity to forge his own name and perhaps even create a lasting legacy.

He's young and need to be guided well since if he will not step on wrong path maybe we can see a new Steph Curry on his presence since he can perform the same and brought up some quality performance to his team. I don't think he's happy with the current trade happened to him since he's really comfortable with Warriors and playing side with Steph and Klay but since he's been traded away on Wizards then its time to prove that he's worth and make Warriors think about he is a huge loss to them. Now its time to show up some good leadership on his new team and built his own name since he will not get more bigger spot light if he stays on  Warriors so this is really a perfect time to rise up his career since in Wizard for sure he will get a lot of minutes there.

And as much as the Warriors wanted Poole to be part of their core, it's an obvious choice that he is the odd man amongst the big 3 of the Warriors. At least though Poole has a ring and help the Warriors win one when no one expect them to win another championship specially after Durant left and everything was on Curry's shoulder that's why he was so emotional after winning their 4th championship.

But the love story has to end there when Green and Poole got into a punching match during their practice if I'm not mistaken. But it seems that everyone has adjusted already, Poole already embraced by the Wizards and even Kuzma is saying all praises for his new team mates and says that the Warriors might have misunderstood the personality of Jordan Poole.

Meanwhile, didl Poole is GOATing here?

https://basketnews.com/news-196084-jordan-poole-ties-michael-jordans-wizards-preseason-record.html

Quote

Jordan Poole ties Michael Jordan's Wizards preseason record

Poole scored 41 points, tying the Wizards preseason scoring record that was previously set by Michael Jordan in 2001.
I heard about that too but I missed that game.
From 11 points in his preseason debut as a Wizards to 41 points in his second game. This dude can really go hot if he is in the zone and that night was his night. 6/12 from distance shots and 15/16 in the stripe. Wow!
2 wins for the Washington Wizards this preseason and their last game will be later against the Toronto Raptors.
How I really wish Jordan Poole could be consistent in this kind of game. That's the only problem that I saw in him back when he was a Warrior. Inconsistency. Now that he is on a new team and he will be the main guard of the team, he should try making 20+ points per game and it might give the Wizards a chance to enter the playoffs if all of them played well.
Remember, there are bad rumors about this team. I think it was Bertans who leaked out how selfish the players are on that team.
Yeah, here is the article that was made when he said that.
Quote
Davis Bertans says players on Wizards were fighting with each other over minutes, roles 'every single day'
Quote
"It's tough to have team chemistry when every single day, the team is basically fighting with each other about 'I want to get more minutes' and 'I want a bigger role.'" Bertans said. "That was probably the biggest part of struggles for most guys during the season. That kinda early on that doesn't show up because everybody's trying to figure out what's going on. Once it starts going downhill, it's really hard to turn around and start going up again."
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/davis-bertans-says-players-on-wizards-were-fighting-with-each-other-over-minutes-roles-every-single-day/
I wish that kind of attitude is now gone on the Wizards team.

Yes that is the main point, but stilla  shit games, they dont play full effort so you can see so many lazy games or sloopy ones, the only one who push the limits are that bench players who wants to stay in the team, but with the NBA you can make a really good pre season and ended up cut in the next week without so much reason or in another team for  a transfer.

Maybe Poole sees that with the splash bro existence he won't be able to make it as the main alpha, so the trade will give him that
opportunity to become one and fulfil his goal.

Though that fight against Green is still the main factors of the trade, or maybe there's something behind that will come out, remember
the time where KD and Green also have some issue, but it was being cleared when KD accept the interview of Green from his podcast channel.

CP3 has been bad at playoffs all his life, that's his curse, he gets injured during the playoffs very often as well, I think his body can't handle a whole regular season AND then the playoffs, that's way too many games.

Let me put it this way, lets assume that you play all 82 games, not like too many players too nowadays, but lets assume that you did, that's 82 games right there, then lets assume the maximum, if you play the maximum that's 7 games first round, 7 games second round, 7 games on conference finals and 7 games at finals, that would make it 28 games, so someone would have to play 110 games a season if they do that, and the minimum? That would be sweeping everyone and winning the title in 16 games, that's still 98 games a season.

Not everyone does that, but it is really obvious why they do not play that many games, players end up getting like 70 or so games even if they are healthy and just rest because nobody can play 100 or more games a season, that's just not normal.

James Harden is absent from training camp today and hasn’t been with the team since Sunday. It looks like he gave it a try but is now back to being on hiatus while trying to force his team’s hand and get him a trade to the Los Angeles Clippers. It seems like this has to happen before the season starts, so I’m expecting to hear something soon.

He is more likely serious about getting out from that team and he is legally doing everything he can to piss them off. I don't know where this drama will end, also the 76ers are not convinced to trade him and they are keeping him till now no matter how childish he acts these days. what could have been the reason why he made this kind of drama every time he wanted to get away from his responsibility?
What I'm about to write is all speculation: I think there are a few teams behind the scenes that have been interested in a harden trade. Probably teams that are already contenders don't want to risk harden (risk can be taken when the season starts and the results go wrong). Teams with little or no playoff aspirations may not want to spend assets on Harden. Some teams that fall in between these two groups, i.e. teams that see themselves as playoff calibre teams or teams that want to see themselves as playoff calibre teams, and teams that have enough assets to make a trade, may want to take the harden gamble. And of course, in 90% of these scenarios, you have to assume that a third team (like Portland) will step in. Chicago, Toronto, Charlotte or New Orleans may have the motivation and assets to make a move for Harden. Let's see what the coming days will show.

I know back in his college days at Duke he was.  Watched plenty of his games and wasn't fond of his style.  Surprised actually coach k pit up with it.  Since he has been buried on the Bucks I really haven't been following.  But is he really still that dirty of a player I thought he cleaned a lot of that up.  He is decent for 15 minutes off the bench as an 8 or 9 guy off the bench.

You know, it's quite frustrating when they keep implementing that load management strategy. It might benefit the players, but what about the fans? They're excited to watch the game, maybe even booked tickets in advance to see their favorite players on the court, only to be disappointed when a player doesn't play due to load management.

These players are highly paid professionals for a reason, and part of their job is to play. While nobody expects them to get injured, it's a physical game, and injuries can happen. It's tough to accept that NBA players today seem to be getting softer. If they had to play in the '90s, I'm not sure they'd last.

I get that there can be valid reasons for load management, but some teams are clearly abusing it, and it's not good for the league anymore. Fans are a huge part of what makes the NBA what it is today, and the league should prioritize their best interests.

The Lakers and the Suns facing off was a cool game to watch. Both teams seemed to lack something. The Suns in particular seemed to have guys out there on the floor that shouldn’t be playing in an NBA game. I thought Nurkic looked good but some of the Suns smaller defenders looked lost out there when facing up against bigger players like LeBron.

As I see it, the main point of preseason games is to get the main players of the teams warmed up before the regular season and also to give the bench players some playing time on the court. That way, the bench players have some opportunity to prove themselves, while the coaches can decide who should play in the NBA and who shouldn't.

I hope so. The less Grayson Allen I see on the court the better. He has no business being in the NBA with his dirty play style and I hate seeing him on my home team.

Well he was under the radar as a dirty fighter, in the NBA. And he was a good contributor as a defense player and even some games wherein his offense was displayed. However, that shot he gave to Caruso started everything for Grayson Allen. Caruso was out for more than two months if I'm not mistaken with a broken risk. And then after that, he goes on another Bulls player months after, in DeRozan.

For his college days, not sure though, but isn't he was caught tripping players not once? So yeah, he has a history already and most likely that's why the Bucks wanted to get rid of him despite what he can bring to the defense.

Load management is indeed abused or let's just say it's been exploited and strategized by some other teams. I remember the San Antonio Spurs with their aging superstars Manu, Parker, and Duncan rested one or two especially when they were up against a top-ranked team. However, I am not that accurate since some of them might be suffering from minor injuries. But maybe it was also one of coach Popovich's strategies and his team always entered the playoffs for so many years. And I was a huge San Antonio fan back then.

I do not agree with load management. The NBA though has a lot of games. There was a time when the management considered changing it but it didn't happen. I remember when Lebron explained the essence of having a long summer rest because their bodies need to heal and recharge, especially aging players like him and CP3.

The NBA is more on physicality and it demands a lot of energy. This is why some very good players in international events cannot keep up with the long gruelling season of the NBA. Either they get injured later on or they can't remain consistent. So I also do not mind lowering the number of games in the regular season. Maybe make it 58 games which means 2 round-robins at home and on the road. This way, great players like Kawhi, AD, Bron, CP3, Zion, etc. have a higher chance of remaining healthy or at their peaks during the playoffs. It also allows the fans to watch as many games as possible since there will be zero or fewer games that are played at the same time. Just my 2 cents. Grin
