After winning the IST championship, they seemed to change their identity. They fall to the Butler-less Miami Heat, and the score wasn't even close. Lebron and Davis badly need a help and it seemed like the supporting players aren't the way they should be.

LA Lakers is really bad on their 3 point shooting, they need to hire a consistent shooter beyond the arc, this game they shot only 13% or 4-30, they can't win with that number.

Ya, something is up with them. Now they’re back below .500 after their great start.

The Pistons took the Jazz into overtime and barely lost. That’s pretty huge for them. They seem like they’ve had enough embarrassment and are ready to turn a corner.

The Clippers beat the Suns to improve on their great record. I’m surprised how quickly the Clippers turned things around…

Their performance and demeanor are strongly suggesting for a change. This has been the kind of behaviour the Lakers are showing us the past few seasons after they won the championship back in the bubble, after that everything was f*cked up for the Lakers. It's funny to think that they been actually playing good offense and defense in the IST, but it seems like the only encouraging factor for them to become that good is the $500k prize lol.
I don't know what kind of changes/trades the Lakers are going to do this season, but I'm 90% sure they'll gonna pull up a surprising trade and I'm not gonna ve surprised it would involve DLo, Reaves, Rui, or Vando. One or two of these guys would get traded for sure.

It doesn't guarantee that a team will play better because their players have received a huge contract. Lakers is just one of the teams that has its players with huge contract. We are seeing the players now but before it was the Warriors who also struggled and some of their players have huge salary this year.

No one sees it coming. I don't know, maybe they thought that what they are playing now is a different season and their success in the IST was the NBA Finals. haha. they must be dreaming. If only Lebron and AD will carry the team, this is very bad for the Lakers as it could lead possible to a possible injury of Davis if he'll be more aggressive and play more minutes.

They have to figure out now. Not sure what the problem is here, is it the players now or the coach?

Sure, there's an overtime that may have caused the high points but their end-of-regulation score was 276 which is still high. Jazz has Clarkson with 36 points and Markkanen with 31 points. The Pistons have Bogdanovic with 36 points and Cunningham with 31. The regulation was the fun one. I though the Jazz ended it with the Markkanen three-pointer and the Pistons doesn't have a timeout but Alec Burks, damn, a buzzer-beater to tie the game.
In the end, the Jazz still won it.

Yes, it's noticeable that after the season tournament they start to show again that poor performance, they needed to work more on how they
blend games among players that inside the court.

Though, i also get that point that money is more important and as long as they are wearing that uniform and there are still fans who will continue
to buy for the tickets and all those merchandize that they are selling, they will continue to earn decently.

Only 2 games on today but they’re both televised on TNT (and HBO Max I’ve recently learned). Last time the Spurs faced the Bucks Wemby was out so this should be an interesting matchup to watch as Wemby tries to stop Giannis. The Second game between the Warriors and the Nuggets should be a good matchup also, but I’m expecting Denver to win.

Miami may not be a bad team, but they lost to Utah and the Clippers in their 3-game away series, but they beat the Lakers.
In the Lakers' Miami match, LeBron James appeared to be far from the contribution he should have made. Maybe he made 9 assists, but the 12 points he scored caused the loss.
In Miami, 8 players scored in double figures and although Anthony Davis was the top scorer of the match, Miami won the match 96-110.
With this result, the Lakers suffered their 3rd consecutive loss. He will play at home against Memphis on Saturday. If he loses this game, the next game will be the Clippers game and that game will be very difficult anyway.

Yeah I'm looming forward to it too.  I would imagine if the Bucks get out to a sizable lead which they very well can do, then you won't see much of giannis in the second half.  Back to back road games I'm sure he could use a breather.  All dependent on score though.  Either way I will be tuning in to watch giannis terrorize the paint.  And in the other game it almost seems like a trap game.  All signs point towards Denver dominating this game with gs reeling but I've featured to never bet against steph in prime time.  The lights do something to him.  Should be a good one on his home court.  I'm taking the Bucks-9 and a stab at the GS money line with the odds

I believe that seems like nearly a record breaking amount, or maybe it already is and I am not sure because I do not know what's the combined highest for teams. I mean we have seen more at all-star games, specially recently, considering nobody ever plays defense at those games, but it feels like they are really just giving up defense at regular season games too.

Scoring 276 is feeling "a bit" normal these days, still a lot of course, but that's like scoring nearly 140 each. A game where Utah scored 154 and Pistons scored 148 just feels way too wrong, it is not really normal. I get that we are not in early 2000's where teams scored like 90 points each, we do have more high scoring games now, but not THIS high scoring, this is definitely huge.

I had the other side.  I had an in game bet of under 273.5. That Alec Burks 29 footer but a nail in the under.  Was a crazy game.  Enjoyed it either way and then once I lost was rooting on Detroit.  Burks coming from the Knicks I always root for anyway, but dude cost me money   lol.  I've watched Detroit play enough to know they shouldn't be losing all these games.  They just need one piece that can get them through the end of game situations and get some fight into them.  They need a defensive presence on that team.

I don't know what I was thinking putting money down on my Chicago Bulls last night.  They were being given a decently 'healthy" +8.5 points, but not having Zach Lavine back yet as well as Nikola Vucevic was a bit of a stretch to think they could come close to beating the Knicks.  They have played quite well all thing considered (not have Lavine for a month or so), so there's some solid progress but my Bulls are coming out of their losing ways for whats seemingly years to come.

I like to go with the underdog Warriors over the Nuggets at Chase center. Warriors have been good in their homecourt and maybe Klay with a good match against the defender here, might go and fire some and get back his shooting. Of course, Curry will have to score 30+ or more for them to have a good chance, and then Kuminga and the rest of them.

I do agree, different era's different GOAT, but it's good to hear arguments for and against Jordan, Kobe and Lebron and who might be the best of them.

Each one has it's merit though, so for me, whoever you grow up watching and idolizing then that player could be your GOAT.

I've read some statements from Steph that he's like one of the walls of the team and he shouldn't be traded because most of the decisions for each game, he's there to help.

Well, that's from the star players opinion and he might be one of the influence for whatever the management's decision.

But if it's about the actual business and what management think is best for the team, they may or may not consider any words from him.

At the end of the day, business is still a business. They will soon trade even Klay if he will not step up his game. I won't be surprised if the management will trade Draymond Green. They want someone who can help Steph, not someone who will cause problems for them.

I couldn't agree more with that.

NBA is a huge business and each team has their own interest to have the stronger line up and if they think that Dray and Wiggins are no longer effective on their end, they'll have them trade regardless of how many championships they've given to them.

We've seen stars even moving here and there and it doesn't matter to them anymore because that's how they understand how the entire business in the NBA works.

If it's going to be helpful to them and with Steph, they'll probably take another younger calibers.

Yes, I saw some post about it, Lakers keep on losing, and then Clippers keep on winning. I guess it is still the battle of Los Angeles, but this time, Clippers has the upper hand, although Lebron has won the IST tournament already but we all know that after that they keep on struggling.

Memphis with Ja Morant is going to be hard to beat as well, but even though the Grizzlies lost their last game, they make a huge comeback against the Raptors and almost win that game. So we will see how the Lakers can contained the exciting Ja but if they can't then maybe another L for them.

It's unusual to see LeBron score only 12 points in a game. It was clearly a bad day for him, as he couldn't make most of his shots.
Anyway, the Lakers need to find the reason for their failures and make adjustments to their performance as soon as possible. Otherwise, even an underdog team like the Pistons will be a tough opponent for them.

I’m watching this Milwaukee Bucks vs San Antonio Spurs game and I’m pretty surprised that the Spurs are managing to stay with them as it’s currently a 1 point game with only a couple minutes left. The story of the night though has to be Wemby going around his back to get by Dame and dunk on Lopez. That’ll be on Sportscenter.
