It seems to me that some teams don't really care about the cup competitions. Detroit, which has been undefeated for a long time, lost in both cup competitions. They lost to Orlando 109-112 today. I'm curious to see the result of tomorrow's matchup with Miami. Will Detroit continue their winning streak, or will these cup losses continue? Denver lost to San Antonio after leading by 15 at halftime. 136-139

what do you mean? Detroit and Orlando were beefing on the court, I am pretty sure Detroit was playing seriously the whole game. Spurs also isn't a bottom tier team even without Wembanyama unlike Denver when Jokic sits down or takes a breather the team crumbles and gives the opposing team to catch-up.

Even though Towns played one of the worst games of his career, Brunson still carried the Knicks and they beat the Bucks. Josh Hart also had a big performance. Looks like the Pistons' magic is gone (pun intended). The Magic beat the Pistons and knocked them out of the NBA Cup. Winning like this without Banchero seems like a bad sign for him.
In the second Prime game, the Lakers didn't put in much effort while beating the Mavs. They won with great performances of Reaves and Dončić. For the Mavs, Anthony Davis returned after a month. He's playing with goggles now, I'm still not used to how he looks.

They care about it, they just lose the game, Even The OKC fell short before and will lose definitely. Its just not their night, they will comback strong. Who dont want to win the CUP? you will get the title and the bonus! Bonus money which is very important to low contract players. and another huge amount to superstars.

AR15 had himself a night tonight… Ayton outplayed Davis. Luka was outstanding. The Lakers shot the lights out from 3 point range. LeBron could’ve been better. He doesn’t look happy out there. A good win though.

And then the Thunder almost had a disastrous game against the Suns, they build a double digit lead but the Suns keeps fighting back and almost force a OT. As far as the lost of Detroit, they have given more rebounds to the Magic. There was once instance that they have given 3 rebounds that might have cost them the game. I think Detroit will still want to continue and have another winning streak so that their previous runs are not a fluke to fans. I haven't seen the San Antonio vs Denver games, but I thought that the Nuggets have a better chance based on the initial opening odds. And in this games for tonight, there are a lot of unexpected results and only the Lakers that we could see that they will win against the Mavs even if AD plays and be back in LA homecourt.

Shams is reporting that Anthony Davis is going to play tonight for the Dallas Mavericks against the Los Angeles Lakers! This is what we wanted! I'm excited for the game tonight. Easily one of the top 10 games we will see this regular season. Having it broadcast on Amazon Prime ain't bad either. I'll have to dust off the old shared login, but I'm on it! I hope that Dallas puts up a fight and keeps this game interesting. I really don't want to fall asleep in the 2nd quarter if it is already a blowout. If the Lakers win, which is most likely, bruh, I think Dallas fans will curse Nico again. They’ll keep doing that forever. I can’t imagine their frustration, especially seeing their standings while the Lakers are doing very well with Luka. There’s no way they can beat the Lakers even if Davis is there. That’s the result of Dallas’ greediness; they would rather lose him than pay a max contract. I don’t think the Lakers will let Luka go. I don’t see him getting traded at the moment. Only a fool would trade a star in his prime years. And I don't see Luka going back to Dallas either. Luka played with 35/5/11, while Anthony Davis had 12/5/5. As we expected Lakers won the game. Lakers is really strong. Luka and Austin were on fire and LeBron was pretty powerful and he knows exactly what and how to play in the team.

Draymond is a good player who knows how to play with Steph and create shots and block to get Curry a clear shots. But time has come with dray and he is getting slower and weaker, that money is huge which they can create space for a better and younger player. But I laso think that warriors still wants to have a last run with their veterans.
I was shocked when they let Klay go, which is proven to be a good decision looking at how injured he has been and how he plays when he is not injured, I assumed loyalty would play a role and they would keep him but they did not and thought very like a business and that was a great decision. Why are they having trouble with Draymond on that? He is said to have a great defense, considering last season for example, but his "great" defense is that he is such a dirty player that even normal fouls on him do not counted because you count the big fouls he does. Because other players only do smaller ones, all of them are called, if you start calling Draymond the same way, he would be out in the first quarter every game. He is old, bad, and useless, and should have been gone long time ago.

OKC Suns game was greatest one of last night imo. Both teams played very well, and the last quarter was especially intense. SGA made 37 pts. he is averaging 32.9 points this season. insane. Even though the Suns lost, I think they’ve started to play better than I expected.

Already expected it from SGA, his performance is consistent and it's always 30+ points per game, I thought they would crash the Suns but they actually explode on 4th quarter, the team effort of Booker, Gillespie and Brooks were really good and I thought they are going for an OT at the last quarter. Tomorrow there will be a good match too, Wolves vs Celtics. I'm still unsure which team I would bet on, the Wolves losses 3 consecutively (Though the scores were close) and tomorrow will be against Celtics where in they lost 3 consecutively too on their last h2h matches. However, Jason Tatum will not going to play due to his injury, do guys think Wolves would be able to win this time?

Nah in my opinion Nuggets versus Spurs was the game of the night. No clue how San Antonio manage to come back after being down by 15 point mid through the 3rd quarter, they made a 20:3 run I think at some point. And don't forget, they play without Wembanyama these weeks, so this win means even more. They shot 13/23 3s in the second half, after only having 4/19 in the first. That of course gave them a huge boost finally hitting those shots. Absolute great game with plenty of ties and lead changes in the 2nd half, that's what I love to watch!

Nuggets lost to the Spurs without Wemby. I just watched the game highlights. Nuggets were leading 77–93. Then suddenly Spurs went ahead 103–101. I really didn’t understand how it happened but the Nuggets defense looked pretty bad.

What a superb performance by Reaves & Luka duo! 38 points from Reaves and 35 by Luka last night... Reaves played with a 80% (12/15) FG too. It was one of the best nights he has had this season so far. Lakers are really powerful with this duo right now. LeBron also states his happiness with Reaves' development. This was even a some kind of record among the other duos. If Reaves can keep this up in playoffs too then things can be more interesting.

Also Champagnie break out and contribute 25 points while Nuggets defense is focused on Vassel. Spurs also so efficient on free throw and made 30 out of 32 attempts which also a big factor on why they win. Todays game Spurs made outstanding team effort which lead them to get a huge win against Nuggets.

Reaves is having the best season of his career, averaging 28.5 points per game. So yes, if he continues at this pace, it will be difficult for other teams to stop the Lakers in the playoffs. It's worth noting that Reaves himself is certainly interested in performing as well as possible so that he can claim a big contract in the future.

Exactly, this is the problem of Nuggets before way back when Jokic is the only guy doing all the work. They are always choking on the last quarter or 2nd half because Jokic is already gassed out compared when he is getting a decent amount of time for rest when they have a bench players that can contribute too. A team is always better than a few players working for the team because fatigue is always a crucial factor on the end game since it affects accuracy and decision making of players.

I agree. And also its clear that Nuggets couldnt make enough defense., Jokic isn’t really known for his defense. When you give up 139 points and lose, it’s pretty clear the problem is on the defensive side.

The fact that Lakers managed to make Lebron take a step back is the greatest achievement in Lakers history and I am not joking. Yes I know that Lakers has a rich history, they won so many titles, they had so many stars, and even with all of that, the fact that they made Lebron take a backseat is insane, that dude is arguably one of the best players that ever played this game, some say e is the best.
So to tell him to take less shots, and pass more, and not have the ball at all times, it's insane to see him being like a third option on that team. Reaves and Doncic are taking the lead and they are doing a wonderful job so far and it's working. Lebron not playing at the start of the season made this possible because they saw that this duo works.

He's actually the third option this season and the sooner he realises that, the better for the team. Unlike the Warriors who are still heavily reliant on Stephen Curry every night.
