I think he still has a contract all the way until next season, which means 2 more years of him playing for Bucks.

He still has to play next season, in 2027–28, since he has a player option. That means he can decide whether to stay or enter free agency, at least that’s how I understand it.

But for now, if he asks for a trade, the team still has to approve it and make a decision before the trade deadline, which I believe is on February 5. If that happens, then the trade should go through.

NBACentral is reporting that the Lakers are looking to trade Gabe Vincent and Jarred Vanderbilt. After not being able to make a deal work with Knecht, maybe this is how they’ll get a deal done for Andrew Wiggins. Kuminga is also on the trading block…

Yeah, hard to see where Kuminga will go, and from what I see, the Warriors need a solid center, although they used to play small ball and I think Kerr still thinks that it's the best for them even if most of their players are old already. But I think they needed a solid man in the middle like before with Looney, who can set things up for them and then play defense and play clutch. But from what I read and why the Lakers needed or wanted Kuminga is that Luka needed someone who is athletic as his partner with the Lakers. Right now he doesn't have one so probably that's what fans wanted to see with the Lakers that's why Kuminga's name is attach to them. However, there could be a lot of teams that are attracted to Kuminga so for now, no sure destination for him.

It will happen if both sides will have a aggreement, I mean if Bucks management give that go signal for the trade to happen then it will do but if they decide not to allow it Giannis needs to follow the contract that he signed, I guess for the betterment of the team, the management should let him since the fans is not longer happy and also in the side of Giannis letting him will be a win-win for both side, trade him another star alongside with good offers from the team who wanted him or whatever that will benefits the franchise.

Thanks for sharing that link. Among the three that they shared (Kings, Mavericks, Nets), the Kings for me are the frontrunner, and have the best odds, and the best trade package to get Kuminga.

The Kings can just trade Keon Ellis, Malik Monk plus draft picks to get Kuminga, or maybe either one of them plus more draft picks. Even before there was a contract being made, Kuminga really wants to be out on GS, and the Kings are the one that's interested in getting him. I hope they still want him because I believe Kuminga will flourish on that team. The only problem is that, he might come out of the bench because they can't afford to put either LaVine, DeRozan or even Murray on the bench and let Kuminga be the starter.

Anyway, I'm waiting for this to happen. A Kuminga trade right now seems certain already. Let's just wait for it to happen, and also, I will not be surprised if there will be another "Doncic-Davis" like trade yet again. Maybe Giannis will be traded?

Houston failed its first serious test. They lost to Oklahoma by 20 points at home. I thought maybe they could win the championship this year after Durant came to Houston, but that won't happen. They lost to championship contender Oklahoma. Alperen had a double-double but contributed very little in terms of points. I wonder what they will do against San Antonio at home. If they lose that game too, Houston will at best play in the conference finals this year, and won't go any further. And that's a very slim chance.

As I predicted, Houston Rockets are a good team, but their chances of winning the championship are decreasing every day. Something needs to change in the team; the players' skills aren't enough.
OKC is a better team, and we saw how serious they were in their recent games. They won the game against the Rockets without much difficulty. OKC is one of the best teams this year, and I'm sure they will play very well in the Playoffs

It is not going to be easy for Lakers to trade for Giannis, that would require basically giving everyone except Lebron and Doncic. Plus this team would be HORRIBLE at shooting, it is going to be a team filled with players who are driving inside, would be the worst kind of trade ever.

I just checked ESPN trade machine, and by logic, if Bucks sends Giannis and his brother, then Lakers could give Ayton, Reaves, Rui and Vanderbilt. That's basically the whole team except the stars. At that point Lakers would only have Lebron, Giannis and Doncic and bunch of other terrible players around these. It is not a good fit and I think it is not going to be good for them, it is going to be a very bad team fit and would make them lose.

The KD trade destroyed Rockets team spirit because of the pieces they sent away. The team became soft this year. Rockets used to be a defensive team under Udoka but after KD, the defense declined. Now the team is unbalanced. they have an unbalanced team with no real guard and their offense is too complicated.

Indeed, both Lakers and Rockets are not performing so well they are losing games and even we are seeing enough decent players that playing together the chemistries among them is not jiving around, not sure if it's the coach mistake combining players inside or its the players who's missing to perform, they need to find that rhythm together if they wanted to push and win games they need to adjust and balance together else, they will continue losing and the chance for moving forward to chase for a title will be missed out.

True. When Jokic got injured, i was really worried. i thought if he misses 18 games, Nuggets can only win 6 maximum. But in 9 games without Jokic, they have 6 wins and only 3 losses. This is a very surprising performance. Also, it’s not just Jokic; the team has other missing players too.

The Rockets went toe to toe with the Thunder for 3 quarters but fell apart in the final quarter. SGA's 20-point streak was almost coming to an end but he kept it alive with free throws in the last minutes.

All day today I kept seeing Black's dunk over 4 defenders in my feed. No matter which social media platform I checked, that video kept popping up again and again. I think the Berlin Game will be remembered for that for quite a while.

But up to here he's not even at top 10 for all star voting and that's definitely a boycott of talent. I saw some thread saying he's a Kobe Bryant merged with Stephen Curry and probably that's a great combination. I think having Gordon and Watson to play along Murray was a great help and Jokic will definitely not be worried and he'll probably have a great time now with his horses.

For sure there are lots of teams who are going to fight and will unload lots of picks just to get Giannis, clearly the best who have profited for this is Milwaukee and will be able to get what they have lost in those years that they given up just to make Giannis happy, but of course they are thankful for the championship he had bring for the team, but at the end of the day its business and for sure Giannis will understand that, who do you think will be the front runner for this one?

I don't think that we will hear it from Giannis himself that he will request for a trade. He will let the management ask for it. He will let it feel for them that they need to trade him because... because right now, it's pretty much useless for him to stay in Milwaukee. Just by looking at their roster, and their current state where they don't have any draft picks to rebuild, the management are left with no choice, but to trade him and consider rebuilding.

Giannis is playing the "hero" role where he don't want to request a trade just like what most all-stars are doing. He values the emotions of his fans more than anything, and he doesn't want his image to change once he leaves Milwaukee. He don't want to get boo'ed or being hated once he leave the team that's why we don't hear any trade request from him currently, but inside of him, he really wanted to go out of the team already and go to a championship team.

If he values loyalty more than the title, he can just stay there, but he said that he wants to win more titles so it's the opposite. Aside from the Kuminga trade, this is the one that I'm also waiting. The Morant trade? Nah, just let it be forgotten.

There's not such thing as loyalty on either direction. Only few remains with their teams until they finished their career. I think the most notably moved done by the Bucks is getting Dame from Portland. But it's not the marriage that we expect as after just a year he was traded. Then them getting Kuzma for Middleton? Not that Kuzma is not good but it's like the Bucks just throw someone to move out Middleton which is part of their core.

The last one was Lopez and now he is also no longer with the team. So it's imminent that the last one should be Giannis and so by the deadline, I think he will be with a new team in March.
