I didn't like the new format very much; it's not as enjoyable as the ones in the 2000s. But at least it's much better than the format of recent years; we were watching unexciting games. Now, at least there's competition and defense.
We didn't see the beautiful dunks and entertaining scenes we're used to seeing in the All-Star game; I would have liked to see more of those. Now we're watching the game like a playoff final; everyone is taking their job very seriously

I wasn't watching NBA 2000s, and I was going to say maybe there could be some tweaks here and there to make it better, but I LOVE this format, the game is much more competitive than what we've been watching for the past decades or thereabout with players just making fun of the viewers who thousands of dollars to watch them, shooting 3s from 60 ft or further, and playing zero defense, I think most players that didn't play much minutes have been more due to them managing one lingering issues or the other... Regardless, this is the best and most competitive All Star matches I've watched in a very long while, if not the best overall.

It is indeed much better compared to recent years, which were boring to watch. Maybe one of the reasons is that there is some pride involved. So, none of them wants to lose, especially against the World. Although we want to see more flashy moves in the All-Star Game, I’d like to watch a more competitive All-Star game. I voted for the World though, lol, because I thought they would dominate since they have a younger lineup and players who are running for MVP.

Dunk contest was literally people making nearly in game levels of dunks, no show, no entertainment, one dude just danced that's it, dancing isn't dunking. We literally had people jump over cars at one point in this competition, so do not tell me creativity isn't part of this.

Still there was way to many wide open shots with nobody even thinking of closing out. They should play hard the whole 12 minutes and not only the last 60 seconds.
Anyway, like i said it was definitely more watchable than the last years, that's for sure!

if it weren't for Kawhi, Wembanyama and Cunningham this All Star would have been totally bland. There was no show no competitiveness. half of the new stadium was empty. they just tried to fix it with LEDs and by turning off the lights but that bleacher spirit just wasn't there.

N longer playing with pride but just to show up and be present but the level of competition it's no longer being seen what the fans loves to see is something that superstars compete from one another just like they are protecting their prides, but with how those players guard each other you'll see in them that it's okay for them to throw the ball.

For real, each player has few minutes of playing time due to the limited time which doesn’t demonstrate the real potential and pressure on the game.

Instead of round robin they should just make the regular 2 teams and play a whole match since no one wants to see an introboys playing style.

USA against the World is already a good matchup but somehow they manage to still destroy it by making the game mechanics a joke.

Kawhi and Ant Edwards are on a different teams, but both team USA.
Team USA (Stars), is where Ant played. Most of them are young allstars
Team USA (Stripes), Kawhi' team. This is where the OGs played like LeBron, Curry, and etc..
The third was Team World (non American allstar players).
The format was single round robin. The highlight where Kawhi scored 31 pts in 11/13 fg, was against the Team World in game number 3. In game number 4 (final game) they lost against Team USA (Stars). Ant made a huge impact on all of the games they played, so, that's the reason why he won the allstar MVP award.

Yeah, he really activated the cheat code there, he was the highlight of that quarter for sure. And the timing is perfect too, it’s his contract year, so more hype now probably means a better contract coming for him. Everyone was surprised with how easy his shots were falling, especially those three-pointers. He’s not even known as a pure shooter, but seeing him shoot like that was honestly scary.

Kawhi Leonard just needs to stay healthy, that’s the main thing. If he does, he’s going to be even more dangerous in the playoffs.

Thanks for the highlights, man. We rarely see Kawhi Leonard smiling like that, so you can tell he was really happy in that moment. He probably didn’t even expect to miss only a few shots. I think he already made history there, scoring 31 points in a single quarter is crazy. That’s not something you see often.

For me, he should’ve been the one winning the MVP, if you ask me. That performance was just on another level.

Do you mean there is no reasonable price in the NBA All Star game, so I’m just wondering why they are playing in it or they are just having fun which is something that is quite unthinkable, I absolutely think that players have a right to have some funds available for them in the NBA All Star Season, The issues of price money is something the organizers should be concerned and be looking at it once again.

I think they’re only playing for the fun of the game and the excitement, it was a good show anyways couple with the difference performances that we saw and the Team US had a good performance and also Team World which also played there own part in the NBA All Star season, Edward was having a good performance and won the player of the all Star game.

The all star should be play like wemby is doing, no easy shot for both teams, i like how he block the shot if this was the early all star they will score like 100+ points then will start to do defense in the last few minutes, aside from that, this were news faces the other all stars that has been in the every all stars are not playing or just sitting, good too see they able to give chance to others who well deserve selection, like Cunningham who is leading the pistons to their playoffs run, and might be east finals.

honestly this whole thing is a joke. games and the format are just bad. NBA teams play 3-4 games a week during the season and even those games get more fans and views. Star players join only because they have to. Young players struggle a lot to get selected. ,f someone joins as an injury replacement they get zero respect in the promos. Even the coaches are just ghosting through the game...

Man, There are 90 percent or more people who are fans of NBA who wants to see a serious Basketbal in all star where the supertars players battle for a great game and making fans love the game more because all of their superstar player is in one court and playing against each other.
We are missing 90s all star where everyone is looking to get the win. We havethose fun moments in shoot outs dunks and other events.

It is, it's different with the Jordan era where they treat it as an official game and nothing more, I understand that they don't want to give all their best because they can't earn anything from it and worse, they may be injured and it will be bad for the regular season. However, Wemby changes the tone of the game by being competitive, it's just sad that his teammate didn't take it seriously. On the post match interview with Wemby he said that he cherish basketball and being competitive is the least he can do about it. Also, kudos to kawhi for scoring 31 points in 12 minutes, even though we know that most of the players didn't seriously play the defense, we know that kawhi is one of the great players in NBA.
