Donations are welcome at 1BitkeyP2nDd5oa647AjvBbbwST54W5Zmx :-). Coins will be used by me and stick to fund&build first prototypes.

If you do this through some intermediary and attach a finished product to a certain amount donated, I think you'll get a lot of funding!

My personality type: INTJ - please forgive my weaknesses (Not naturally in tune with others feelings; may be insensitive at times, tend to respond to conflict with logic and reason, tend to believe I'm always right)

Every day people are asking me how they can help us with this project. That's why I published this donation address, because in bitcoin world, sending even small donation is the easiest way to explain someone's support and interest. Time for preorders will come later, when we'll be absolutely sure that we can fulfill our obligations.

Awesome project slush!  I think you are really tackling one of the important hurdles bitcoin faces for easy adoption by bigger crowds.  Here is me hoping the device won't be too expensive, so it can gain widespread distribution.

We just printed new casing version. Eyelet is missing just because Reprap is unable to print it correctly. Eyelet will be in final version. Btw there's real display inside, it fits perfectly even to this plastic/printed casing.

Heh, looks just like one of those car remote locks.

Officer of the State: "What you got here sonny?"

Me: "Oh, that old car remote, nothing to see there officer."

Edit: hey slush, maybe you could put like an almost Ferrari, BMW or etc optional signia on it?

It's not final, and it needs some changes to be usable as real casing (in plastic).

But after its final the models will be released (since its open hardware?). I would imagine it will spawn some coo; case mods. Like a phone/wallet case

a Bump for slush.

Hey, those cases are looking good.

Question: Where do you order just the OLED displays?
I'm not having much luck finding a low quantity supplier.

There are hundreds of vendors on eBay (mostly from China and Hong Kong). Try searching for "OLED 128x64".

The device is supposed to be just a storage for private keys. It is unusable without computer (as it has no battery etc). Then you can use QR codes generated by the desktop wallet, so there's no need for NFC chip.
